A question about index scope

I've noticed that index pages skew towards being big and comprehensive. Are more specialized indexes also an option?

Part of the reason I ask is that I was toying with the idea of an index of tropes about libraries and librarians. Thing is, all the tropes I found for that hypothetical index are already on Bookish Tropes—but they're scattered among the different subsections in a way that already fits the internal logic there, and herding them into a new subsection on that particular index would break its logic.

In a case like this, would a separate, narrower index page (a library catalogue, if you will) be acceptable, or would it just be considered redundant?

New indexes are drafted at Trope Launch Pad, but I'm sure this one will get rejected because it wouldn't be a significant split from Bookish Tropes.

I mean, I'd be willing to see what tropes are added onto it. Trope-based indexes tend to pass more easily than work-based ones, though obviously too much overlap is unwanted.
