It was removed by TRS, yeah, because "slapstick, but for women" is redundant.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessWould this argument also apply to Gender Is No Object, another trope bypassing a RL Double Standard?
^ From a glance it looks like users are mistaking a Discredited Trope for never having been a trope.
But it was never discredited. It still regularly happens. That doesn't mean it's relevant, though; it's all just Slapstick and always has been.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessThe problem wasn't that it was a Discredited Trope, the problem was that it was a list of avertions of an imaginary Omnipresent Trope. "Women are immune to slapstick" is pretty much a Dead Unicorn Trope
It has left something of a legacy in the video examples, though. Some are clearly made to highlight that it's a girl receiving it.
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.Well, I imagine they were moved from the other trope.

Recently I've gone to check the Slapstick Knows no Gender trope and noticed it got merged with general Slapstick page.
Why did this happen? Is the "slapstick affecting character regardless of gender" aspect not tropeworthy?
Also the image isn't very illustrative (the actual slapstick is only about to happen) and generally just kind of gross.
Humankind is like a train. No matter how powerful the locomotive is, it can only travel as fast as its slowest car allows it to.
