OK I’ll start, here’s my interpretation of “Delilah” by Tom Jones…
The narrator was obsessively jealous, possessive (“She was MY woman”) and controlling, and it was this that drove Delilah into the arms of another man in the first place. When the narrator cornered her alone with the clear intention of killing her, Delilah’s “laughter” was actually a reaction to fear.
