Who came up with the Fiction Identity Postulate, and where can I read more about it?

This may be a tall order, but I would like to know if anyone has any knowledge of who originated the Fiction Identity Postulate and what research/scholarship has been done on the idea. I'd like to write my essay for a literary theory class on this topic of the ontology of fiction, and the Fiction Identity Postulate and the implications it has on the validity of the concept of "canonicity" as it applies to fiction was a big influence on this desire.
