Just saw the trailer and...yeah, this sure looks like a movie.
Normally when you have guys like Jesse Eisenberg playing creatures, they're able to speak English...but that's not the case.
Apparently, there's absolutely no dialogue. Like, not even humorous subtitles or a documentary narrator (as far as we know). Any sounds we hear will be from nature or from the sasquatches, be it for foraging for food or even doing the birds and bees which...sure was something they showed.
Looks promising. It'd be wild if we hear from this movie in the next award season.

Apparently this movie was screened at a recent film festival and it was super polarizing. It had a record number of walkouts, but the ones who stayed freaking loved it?
We'll see if it dethrones Letters from the Big Man as the weirdest, most esoteric Bigfoot movie.
I know I'll be there.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?I think this is one where I should wait on reviews.
It IS nice to see Bleeker Street putting out more movies again.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. This movie was produced by Ari Aster. That's all you need to know that this will likely be a fucked up, weird experience.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.I wasn't expecting a remake of The Star Wars Holiday Special.
I was just about to joke, it looks like someone watched the Wookiee family segments and thought to themselves "I can take this further."
I was actually reminded of that Noodle Incident in Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy where Billy's mom mistook him for a sasquatch, specifically the one she had an affair w/ and is now avoiding.
Oof. I don't think I'm prepared for the Ari Aster Bigfoot movie. Color me considerably less excited.
Although this is apparently a comedy?
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Calling it "an Ari Aster movie" is like calling A Quiet Place a Michael Bay movie.
He didnt write it or direct it. He has a production company involved (one of several funding the film), thats it.
You could just as easily say its a Lars Knudsen joint, and that would also be wrong.
I have here the first trailer for Sasquatch Sunset: a Zellner Brothers movie wherein Riley Keough and Jessie Eisenberg play bigfoots… bigfeet… those.
