Did you take it to the cutlist or ask a mod to have it cut? This might have been something the staff simply overlooked.
I didnt do either of those
I just put it on the cutlist
Why aren't they allowed in index pages anyway?
The short answer is people voted to ban index laconics:

The thread doesn't talk about index pages that much, but the general sentiment is that there isn't anything to summarize on an index page, besides the definition (which already tends to be brief in most cases).
Granted there are indexes like Acceptable Targets that have a long af description, but yeah most of the time the descriptions are brief enough to read.
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectGot to say, I am bothered by the way that crowner/discussion conflate indexes like Furniture Tropes with supertropes-that-serve-as-indexes like Villains. They are not the same thing.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanVillains isn't labeled as any kind of trope.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessThat's a problem with the page label, not a justification for conflating the classifications.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'm also referring to the description, as explaining the concept of a villain isn't the same as describing a supertrope. The page is not written as one.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessYeah, uh ... I disagree that villains is not written like a trope. Friendship Tropes, with nothing but the index topic, is more like an index.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAs early as 2006 (the first archived copy), the page has been an index. People expanding the description doesn't alter the core intent of the page.

Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI guess these weren't a trope then. I kid, the distinction between what is an index, what should be an index, what is a supertrope, what should be a supertrope and if so whether it should have an example list, did not necessarily exist back then. Even today, we sometimes have room for disagreement. So if some of these laconic cut requests are declined, it's because the classification isn't clear cut.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIf we want to make ground on what even is an Index (would also help the Genre pages), we can make a dedicated thread to it.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupThe laconic is already gone. It must have been deleted earlier.
Absolute Rainbow
I kind of brought this up on another thread but Villains is an index yet it has a laconic page (Indexes cannot have laconic pages per TVTropes policy) so the laconic page needs to be removed.
