I just recently porting my old novel series Isekai Zombie:That Time I got Isekai to Fantasy World Late to Website/Archive of Our Own that is wrote around the same time as Marvel What If episode about Marvel Zombie aired at that time and I just think, what if Marvel Zombie,DCeased but Superhuman Zombie instead of Superheroes or Supervillians was Traveler from Another World instead? How would Isekai World during event similar to Marvel Zombie or D Ceased would be like and how similarity and different between Isekai Zombie,Marvel Zombie,D Ceased and how world post-Zombie Apocalypse would be like?

Id think that would depend on the state of the world truck-kun senses the poor sod into.

By default its gonna be a lateral move to solemn getting yeeted into a post-apocalyptic future, but it needn't be that way necessarily (likewise while isekai is often generic with its world-building, it doens't have to be). There could be pockets of stable civs that aren't bunkers and vaults and the zombies need not be ex-sentient corpses.

Another factor in the exact nature of these revenants. Reanimated corpses? people infected by a virus that makes them come off as renaiamted corpses? people infected by a virus that makes them act like shambling corpse? Frankenstein-esque mixtures of haphazardly placed pieces? Vampires? there are many ways you cna go about the walking dead and that in turn would affect the state of the world they are in. It could be one where the living and the undead exist peacefully with only few changes (proving philosophical musics on if the undead are actually such), or it could be the usual where people are trying to avoid being turned into a mindless or soulless corpse (such as the comics you mentioned).

By all accounts consider what the zombies in your setting actually are as they aren't universally undead corpses or bran-eaters. And then ask yourself how their presence in that state affects the world around them.
