So, the page Boke and Tsukkomi Routine struck me a while ago as being very strange. it seems to document a very specific type of Japanese comedy act, and yet it has examples from all around the world. I think this is yet another example of a trope with a hyper-specific anime name as a relic from the time when this site used to be covered in fanspeak. It's definitely still tropeworthy (it's obviously a sub-trope of Straight Man and Wise Guy where one character is a dope and the other character is increasingly exasperated by their dopeyness), but I think it needs to be renamed to a more broad, all-encompassing name like "Dope and Handler Duo" or "Idiot and Smart Guy Routine", something like that.
It's not about the gold; it's about the glory.
