Warner should favor Amazon - WB released Air in theaters, and there's a few titles one would expect only on Max that are also on Prime Video. But again, the post-Discovery merger studio is unpredictable, like with these shelvings for tax reasons.
In any case, hope to be able to watch this movie. Should at least be better than Space Jam: A New Legacy.
A Wile E. Coyote movie being sent to Mickey Mouse's streaming app is somehow a fate worse than death. That's like, I dunno, like a Sonic game on a Nintendo console!
Netflix released Glass Onion and Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio in theaters. I can see them doing it.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?You do know they only did that to qualify for the Oscars, right? This movie is amazing and has great reviews but I doubt its oscar material or that Netflix would give it Oscar treatment.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.I dunno, Best Animated Feature is the one category where the Academy Awards tend to go super-populist, nominating whatever films were the biggest hits and/or most liked by the Academy members' kids, while ignoring the smaller, arty pictures.
This is a live action film with animation in it, not an Animated film. I would LOVE to be wrong on both counts. This movie earning the oscars after the Looney Tunes went through obscurity and bad movies lately.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.I doubt they thought Glass Onion was Oscar material, either (although it was good). I think sometimes they send stuff to theaters just for the novelty. Plus Coyote vs. Acme can probably compete in the less important categories like editing, costuming and sound design.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Small limited releases in a few cities. Not the same like the wide releases Apple did for Killers of Flower Moon for example.
The official ruling dictates that any movie with at least 75% of it's screen time features animation it can legible for being nominated. That's why movies like Alvin and the Chipmunks or The Smurfs were submitted to contend for a nomination.
Assuming Cv A meets the criteria, it could be nominated for best animated film.

Now I want it to win. The poor Looney Tunes deserve more love.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.A poor comparison, Sonic games have been on Nintendo consoles ever since Sega got out of the Console race.
In any case, it doesn't sound like Disney was one of the companies interested.

Disney doesn't really own the Looney Tunes franchise, so they probably wouldn't deal with it.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Yes, that was the joke.
SoundCloudThough you will definitely never see something like James Cameron's Avatar or a certain Disney "live action" remake be nominated for it, even though they totally fit the requirements.
The few live action films that did get nominated all have in common that they are seen as kiddy enough to "qualify as animated films" by the general public.
I thought the deal was that a film can be nominated for Best Animated Feature or it can be nominated for Best Picture, but you can't submit the same movie to both categories.
They did change that? Because Up and Toy Story 3 were both nominated for Best Animated Feature and Best Picture.

No, an animated movie can be submitted to best picture too. It's the Golden Globes that have one or the other, but the Oscars do accept animated films for competition for best picture.
Toy Story 3 and Up are the only two so far that were nominated (and won) best animated film and got the nomination for best picture.
The reasons why films like Avatar aren't submitted for animated is film is because it's seen as a "lesser" category, and they don't want their movie to be branded as animation.
It is the lesser category.
It's only there so snobs don't have to worry about "(ugh) animation" getting recognized as the artform that it is.

I didn't know Golden Globes had a rule like that about how an animated film can't be in both the Best Picture and Best Animated Film category. I know why that is, but that's asinine.
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationIt’s been a week since we got the good news… still waiting on a buyer…
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. There probably will be a buyer now that the movie has so much hype and good reviews.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. They really should capitalize on this Streisand Effect ASAP and announce something as soon as they can. If they can get it onto streaming by Christmas that would be ideal, if a bit optimistic.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Ironically that would be THE OPPOSITE of the Streisand Effect. For it to be the trope they should withhold it more and refuse to advertise it a bit more. Because that's the way the trope works. SUPPRESSING the media.

Actually, Prime or Apple would be more likely to do theatrical. Netflix isn’t interested in it for whatever reason.
