But in all seriousness, the page’s fate is probably gonna depend on how canon the pilot is to the main series.

Even if the rumor/news it is true that they won't remake the pilot, I'm definitely expecting a newcomer can still follow and get introduced to the series perfectly without the need of watching the pilot on YouTube.

So you think the new page will stay or will it need to be merged?

I'm predicting it to stay.

Okay. I know the pilot's cast was and still is near and dear to everyone's hearts. But I have to admit, this cast is stacked.

Like. Really stacked.

Keith David and Kimiko Glenn were big surprises because I associated them with Spawn and Lena and Bridgette, but then it hits me, they were in musical projects.

And here's a big thing. They can sing. Like literally all of them can sing. And they all slap like really hard. Someone made a thread about the cast singing in other stuff and...it's good stuff, especially Alastor's VA doing "Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile". Like, holy crow, how it fits Alastor.

Stephanie Beatriz as Vaggie and Alex Brightman as Pentious are also surprises, because I've been associating the former as Mirabel (and now I got this feeling that it won't be long until we see animations of Mirabel cussing with Vaggie's dialogue) and the latter because he's voicing Fizz over in Helluva Boss. (You know, for all the claims that HH and HB can't legally cross over, it doesn't really stop them from finding ways to be connected.)

TL;DR: Yeah, I'm all in on this cast.

Keith David was the biggest surprise for me, mainly due to Husk's personality. My first choice would have been Clancy Brown thanks to his role as Hank in Detroit:Become Human.

Another All-Star Cast, huh? Viv really did make a Deal with the Devil to get so many well-known actors for her projects, huh?

The reason they recasted nearly everyone is also because the pilot's original cast was all non-union (understandable for an independently-produced pilot) while the whole cast of the official version is fully union. And literally every VA was okay with it.

And as long as the series and cast are still good, it'll be fine. Really my favorite bit of the Amazon sneak peek was Charlie doing all of that angelic singing and then at the very end she busts out a deep, guttural "FUCKIN'" before she finishes the song XD

Along with hearing Angel Dust go "Dat bitch is halfway down da street!"

It reminded me of Aaron Lewis' hilariously bad "If you don't like it there's the FUCKIN' door" from "Am I the Only One"

Only this time, Charlie's was intentionally hilarious unlike Lewis' unintentional comedy.

I remember the popular rumor was that Monica Franco, Ed Bosco, and Mick Lauer would all be reprising their roles, but I honestly think that if some of the characters will be recasted, then ALL of them should.

That said, I hope some of the original pilot cast is able to make small cameos.

The trailer's animation looked very... Rough. I know it's not hand-drawn anymore and it'll probably look better with the weird jump cuts in context but I was extremely disappointed seeing the downgrade. For all of Helluva Boss' problems it always looks nice and fluid, and the Bad Trip song was absolutely gorgeous.

If they are not union actors I doubt it.

I do wonder if the thing about the old actors not being union actors is true or not, because A24 is known for using non-union actors in their works being an indie studio.

With that said, the old actors are at least congratulating the new actors and wishing them the best, so I'm not as butthurt as a lot of social media is.

Worth being informed:

For those that might be concerned, might want to hop over to the Hazbin pilot/Helluva Boss discussion page as someone is kinda opting for some major changes to the main work page for Hazbin Hotel which includes merging and cutting certain pages.

This thread is no longer necessary, as it has been determined that there is no reason to have a separate page specifically for pre-release material, since that's not really a thing that happens on this site. The main reason the new thread was made is because Hazbin Hotel no longer really qualifies as Web Animation anymore. Which is why its now in the Western Animation thread.

Also, surely we should update the page image due to it being the pilot poster.
