It was brought to my attention that Tic-Tac-Toe exists so maybe that too?

Macron's notesI guess this could be like the Web Original/ situation. When all else fails in sorting, we have a catch all namespace.
Maybe

What do you guys think of TraditionalGame/?
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectI'd rather keep it simple with Game/
I came, I saw, I waddled.Honestly yeah, that could work better.
Plus it starts with a different letter and is shorter than Tabletop Game/. So there would be no confusion.
My vote is in for Game/
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectGame/ for anything that doesn't fit into TabletopGame/ or VideoGame/, the same way we use Animation/ for anything that doesn't fit into Anime/, WebAnimation/ or WesternAnimation/

LP Deprecation Cleanup | Ask me about SMPLive Yeah, that thought process of relating it to Animation/ being a general namespace works too. Finally, a more appropriate place to put TabletopGame.Pokemon (that always weirded me out).
Edit: (x10) Yeah you're right, sorry.

Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectI agree with Game/
There's Werewolf, Tic-Tac-Toe
Hell i'm pretty sure this would allow things like tag or rock paper scissors to be tropes
Or sports, they do fall under games in the media page, i wonder if sports rules and other official stuff can be tropeworthy
Er. No. I can't see any scenario where games like "rock paper scissors" become tropeworthy just because of a namespace, and sports have long-since been deemed non-tropeworthy because they aren't fictional (with Wrestling/ as the big exception).
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessOh alright, then i am a bit more on the fence, since there's about two pages i know of that could be better suited to a simple Game/ (and i am not wholly sure about tic-tac-toe) and considering the amount of house rules for physical and/or parlor games, i am not sure on the tropeworthiness anymore of stuff like tag or i spy, unless you troped specific nonfictional times it was played, which would be troping real people.
Maybe there are some more complex ones like idk Mafia or Fictionary that could do with a page and do better with that namespace, however
I get that we shouldn't be troping athletes and their real-life performances, but why should sports as a whole be off-limits? Can't we trope their rulesets the way we trope the Game Mechanics of a game with No Plot? No Problem!
Though I have a hard time seeing something like Tic-Tac-Toe or I Spy getting a page because they're so simple that you probably can't write three meaningful trope examples for them.
Mafia does have a page at TabletopGame.Werewolf 1997. I think that game is complex enough to deserve one.

If we do decided to trope rulesets, should we stick with game/ or do sport/?
Anyhow, should i go look for physical and parlor games lists and make a list of those i see the most potential in having at least 3 objective tropes in?
It's essentially because we want to trope works that have a narrative. We could theoretically make a page full of baseball rules and trope them — but there's no story there, nothing creative. Remember that we're not just about attaching tropes to things; we're about describing how fiction uses recurring patterns.
The question about troping sports is for a different thread, anyway. It's already been decided that we shouldn't, so you're fighting against an established rule.

Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI didn't hear a no, i will start my search, next post here of mine should be the list
I don't feel strongly about whether the rulesets of sports should be troped (I'm fine with prohibiting it to pre-empt troping of real-life athletes), but I think the line is vague and arbitrary. If the goal is to "trope works that have a narrative", shouldn't we also exclude most No Plot? No Problem! works on the basis of them lacking a narrative (and Excuse Plot works for lacking a substantial narrative)? Or do we — as suggested on Sandbox.Notability Verifiability Tropability— say that Game Mechanics can substitute for narrative tropes? And if we do, why not do the same for sports? (I strongly feel that No Plot? No Problem! games should still be able to be troped because Game Mechanics themselves are notable patterns. Assuming enough meaningful mechanics can be found in the game, of course.)

Aesop's Mission - simple enough ruleset, but might just maybe have enough 3
Are you there, Moriarty? - this is just a fancy stand off, i doubt 3 could be mustered up
Baas-o-Beyt - like Bait bazi, no
Bait bazi - don't think so
British bulldog (game) - i played it under a different name, fun fact, either way, doubtfully could get 3 objective tropes
Bulls and Cows - yeah, possibly, i mean Wordle has a page and Wikipedia implicitly calls it similair to that
Carnelli - no clue
Catch - no
Chajeon Nori - i think it could get 3 or 4
Charades - no, i don't think this could pass muster
Chubby bunny - a hazing ritual, so nah
Coconut shy - just a throwing game
Consequences - i don't think so
Crambo - like Baas-o-Beyt, no
Decamentathlon - not so sure in the tropeworthiness of this event
Dozor - mayhaps
Ear pull - just pull ears and cause pain, 3 would require characterizing the players, so no go
Fictionary - this is one of 2 i listed as possibly tropeworthy enough previously
Hook-a-duck - hardly
Huckle buckle beanstalk/Hide the thimble - just hide thing, 3 couldn't be found
I packed my bag - memory game, i hardly could think of 1
I spy - already seen as not tropeworthy enough
Kim's Game - leaning towards no, but i could see an argument for 3 tropes being made
Mafia - already covered under the werewolf page, the other example of mine
The Minister's Cat - maybe
Red Rover - with the amount of variations, i could see a case for it, but i wouldn't count on it
Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon - already a useful notes page
Skee-Ball - no idea
Splat the rat - i doubt it could get 3
Tiddlywinks - just maybe
Tug of war - no
Twenty questions - perhaps
Wallball (children's game) - i do not think so
Wink murder - i believe in this one
I might look at more
for adding more

Audio, card games are tabletop games, I'm not sure why Pokemon would be moved if we added a general Game/ namespace
LP Deprecation Cleanup | Ask me about SMPLiveMe neither, what do you guys think of my list
Yeah you're right
It's a good enough list
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectSo, we have about 8 that i know of that could be Game/. Question is, do new namespaces need a minimum? Was there ever a minimum decided?
Werewolf (1997) is under Tabletop Game/, but it's actually a Parlor Game. Cards may be used to assign roles at the start, but one could just as easily use slips of paper, or have everyone cover their eyes and then go around physically tapping them.
A more general Game/ namespace would be a better fit for it. Such a namespace would be a super-category to Tabletop Game/, Video Game/, Pinball/, and maybe others.
I can't think of any other pages that would go in the namespace, though.
