Yes, if whoever contributed the brains to the computers were to be still self-aware, it would add a pinch and sprinkle of Black Mirror's "have we gone too far with this?"
Frankenstein, well, I already had the zombies begin to fuse together for biotech. Maybe scientists can select for juuuust the right combo of organs and brains for "robots."
