Chess used to be my passion until I fell out of it. I've only recently gotten back into it, and now I think I'm kinda rusty (or I'm just not used to playing against actually skilled players, idk.)

Yeah, I fell out for about eight years, I only really started playing again last year on a whim, and it turns out the board game that's so good that people have been playing versions of it for about a thousand years is still good.

So, as far as I can tell this isn't a coven yet.
I'm a former tournament player and current casual player, and I assume there's at least a few chess players out here who may be vaguely interested in talking about chess and possibly occasionally playing a game, especially with how much chess has surged (back) into broad popularity recently.
Thus, this is a place to presumably talk of chess things and possibly occasionally engage in ritual chess battles.
