  •    Name:    Skeletor, Overlord of Evil
  •    Real Name:    Keldor
  •    Gender:    Male
  •    Age:    50's
  •    Appearance:    What a handsome face he has!
  •    Alignment:    Villain (Neutral Evil)
  •    Generation:    If we go by the time he started his career, Second Generation, but if we go by the time he arrived on Earth, Fourth Generation
  •    Personality:    Come on, it's Skeletor! We all know Skeletor, right? Cackling Jerkass Evil Overlord with a keen wit, Bad Boss to his minions, hates Heroes and Heroics, wants to be Master of the Universe, ever-persistent and always ready with another plan for each weekly episode? I suppose I might as well list that he's willing to work with others if it accomplishes his own goals, though he'll have to be made to feel like he's in charge, lest he endlessly complain about how he should be the leader. If this is too short and not detailed enough, let me know and I'll try to flesh it out more.

  •    Powers and Abilities:    Skeletor is an extremely powerful sorcerer, with control over a vast range of dark magical powers, though for most complex spells, he must make use of his Havoc Staff. He displays the ability to discharge energy from his own body, such as lightning from his hands and energy beams from his fingertips and even his eye sockets. He also possesses considerable scientific and engineering skill and is shown to have skill in creating various machines and devices. Although mainly a sorcerer, Skeletor is more than capable of physical combat, and has above average physical strength, and is a skilled swordsman as well as operator of ranged weapons such as laser guns, as proven in numerous encounters with the physically powerful He-Man. Lastly, he possesses the most terrifying ability of all: comprehension of the English language.

  •    Weapons and Equipment:
    • Havoc Staff: Skeletor is armed with a magical weapon called the Havoc Staff; a long pole crowned with a small replica of a ram's skull and a crystal ball embedded within. He can discharge bolts of mystic force from the head of the staff, or use it as a focus for more powerful forms of magic, applications of which are too wide-ranging to list here. That is to say, he can accomplish virtually anything magic-related with the staff, as long as he can land the spell on the target (in the form of a beam), and with the stipulation that he must use a rhyming incantation for spells more significant than basic attacks.
    • Sword: Skeletor also carries with him a sword, which aside from being enchanted to be extra-durable and never need sharpening, is just an ordinary sword.

  •    Assets:    To start off with, nothing!

  •    Source:    Masters of the Universe (Amalgamated interpretation of various versions of the character)

  •    Origin Story:    Skeletor, then named Keldor, the older half-brother of future King Randor of the planet Eternia. Banished from the capital city Eternos due to his pursuit of the legendary Power of Grayskull, Keldor later returned with an army of evildoers to do his bidding and overthrow his younger brother, who had taken the throne in his absence. During the battle, Randor accidentally deflected Keldor's vial of acid back onto his half-brother's face, nearly killing him and decisively turning the tide of the battle in favor of the defenders. Desperate to stay alive, Keldor had one of his minions teleport him to the sanctuary of Hordak, an evil sorcerous serpent imprisoned in another dimension. After the dying Keldor pleaded with him, Hordak provided him with mastery over magic, as well as saving his life, though the result was his head being reduced to a skull. Upon seeing his own reflection, Keldor began to cackle madly, and declared that he had a new name:    Skeletor!

Thereafter, Skeletor began to rebuild his dark army, and then marched again upon Eternos when he was ready. Initially, he was somewhat successful, and nearly managed to breach Castle Grayskull, where The Power was safeguarded, only to be foiled by the sudden appearance of "He-Man", a hero wielding a portion of Grayskull's Power himself. Defeated for the day, Skeletor retreated, and later on continued his attempts to destroy He-Man and acquire The Power for himself over, and over, and over again, each time being foiled, but sometimes coming close to victory! At one point, he even managed to banish He-Man through a magical portal to terra incognita (Earth), only to be pushed through himself and stranded at his destination. Thus do we find him, having landed without his sworn enemy in sight, without his army, and with only his own magic, strength, and guile to rely upon... but soon, he vows, this world shall know the name of    Skeletor, Overlord of Evil!

  • Names: "The Demon Killer," "DmC" (an abbreviation of "Devil May Cry"), "Son of Sparda"
  • Real Name: Dante
  • Gender: Male
  • Species: Nephilim (Angel/Demon Hybrid)
  • Appearance: A black-haired, almost scrawny-looking young man who seems almost symbiotically bonded with that black jacket. Not literally, he can take it off - he just almost never does. A sword-shaped tattoo adorns the top of Dante's back, between his shoulders, which he uses to summon his sword when he needs to fight something. Which is often. Like, every day.
  • Alignment: Anti-Hero
  • Generation: Fourth Age
  • Personality: Dante is abrasive, cynical, sarcastic, rebellious and generally standoffish to everyone except people he considers allies. The phrase "rebel without a cause" fits him perfectly, as he has spent most of his life fighting off demons who wanted him dead for (at the time) seemingly no reason. After a..."heated argument" with his brother Vergil, Dante has all but doubled down on these tendencies. While he will hold his friends closely, Dante is also inherently skeptical of the motives of anyone he does not closely know. When your entire life has been spent discovering that demons run the world, you start to exercise an unhealthy level of suspicion. That being said, he still tries to keep a level head, especially given his recent falling out with his brother, and will be among the first to try and keep a team from arguing itself to pieces.
  • Powers & Abilities:
    • Nephilim Physiology - Dante is inherently faster, stronger and more durable to a superhuman degree. He can lift and throw things normal humans wouldn't be able to budge, and his injuries heal at an absurdly fast rate. As an example, upon suspecting he wasn't human, Dante once ripped his own chest open to see if there was even a heart in there (there was, incidentally). The wound healed up shortly after and Dante was no worse for wear. Dante's strength and speed are at the point that he was able to overpower and kill the demonic god Mundus, despite him absolutely living up to that title.
    • Demonic Ancestry
      • Demon Evade - By dodging at the very last instant before an attack should hit him, Dante's demonic genes fuel an infernal adrenaline rush, briefly increasing his already-impressive strength.
      • Devil Trigger - Channeling his father's demonic power, Dante's hair turns stark white as his clothes take on a red coloration. While transformed, Dante's wounds will heal even faster than usual, and his already-impressive strength and endurance are further enhanced. Furthermore, Dante's speed increases drastically to the point that everything else around him appears to slow down from his perspective. The initial transformation also creates a burst of demonic energy, launching nearby enemies into the air and suspending them up there if they aren't strong enough to resist it. Staying transformed too long risks Dante's mental state, however, as the demonic influence will begin steadily making him act more violent and reckless.
      • Definitive Devil Trigger/Hardcore Devil Trigger (Dante's still workshopping the name) - A more focused, efficient form of the transformation. Dante still gains all the benefits of Devil Trigger without the initial blast of energy. As a result, the transformation lasts longer, but enemies will not get launched away upon transforming.
    • Angelic Ancestry
      • Angel Evade - A short-ranged teleport useful for evading attacks or just getting around.
      • Angel Boost - Dante channels angelic energy to propel himself forward in the air. Combing this with Angel Lift can give Dante a ridiculous amount of mobility.
  • Weapons and Equipment:
    • Ebony & Ivory - A pair of pistols Dante is never seen without, his superhuman speed allows him to fire them at a rate not unlike a submachine gun. Like all of his firearms, Dante reloads them magically and has no worries about running out of ammo - because he can't. Dante can charge demonic energy into his pistols to fire a "Ricoshot" that will bounce between targets.
    • Revenant - A one-handed shotgun, perfect for crowd control. Dante can also charge the Revenant with demonic energy to fire a demonically-powered sticky bomb out of it, which attaches to an enemy before detonating.
    • "Kablooey" - A demonic needle launcher Dante stole from a low-ranking demon. Needles stick into enemies and must be detonated manually by Dante. The more needles stuck in an enemy, the bigger the eventual explosion. When not in use or not in Limbo, the Kablooey looks like an ordinary taser.
    • Rebellion - Dante's sword, a keepsake from his father Sparda. Summoned from a tattoo on his back (like all of Dante's melee weapons), it can cut through damn near anything and boasts a balance of power and speed. Dante can also charge the sword to throw blades waves of energy with repeated swings.
    • Ophion - a whip Dante can summon from Rebellion's hilt, its properties change depending on whether Dante empowers it with demonic or angelic power
      • Demon Pull - Ophion transforms into a black chain, the claw on one end yanking targets helplessly towards Dante and leaving them vulnerable to follow up attacks.
      • Angel Lift - Ophion takes the form of a white chain adorned with a snake's head. The snake's jaws latch onto whatever Dante throws it at, pulling him towards it at incredible speed. If Dante has pulled himself towards an enemy, he usually approaches too fast for most enemies to react unless their guard was already up before throwing Ophion.
    • Arbiter - An extremely heavy demonic axe created by Dante's demonic half. A swing of this weapon can shake the ground, launch enemies into the air and shatter most defenses to pieces - also makes a surprisingly effective throwing weapon.
    • Eryx - A pair of demonic gauntlets that enhance Dante's physical strength even further for high-powered punches, kicks and stomps.
    • Osiris - An angelic scythe Dante received from his angelic half, its light weight allows him to swing and even spin it at incredibly fast speeds. Dante can even spin the scythe above his head fast enough to create lift, pulling himself into the air. He is completely aware of how ridiculous this looks, but refuses to give a damn about it.
    • Aquila - A set of shuriken-like blades Dante can either swing as melee weapons or throw at enemies like boomerangs. Attacks using Aquila tend to pull unsuspecting targets towards Dante for follow up attacks.
  • Assets:
    • Kat - A human "witch" Dante met after being ambushed by a demon, they now work together as part of their demon-hunting business. Kat has knowledge of the demonic world of Limbo as well as homemade "Wiccan" (as she claims they are) spells and rituals to assist Dante. Just don’t ask what’s in the spray cans she uses for them. She also runs their website, since Dante is usually too busy murdering things to learn web design.
  • Source: DmC: Devil May Cry
  • Origin Story: An orphan since childhood, Dante is the son of the legendary demonic warrior Sparda and an angel named Eva, making him a "Nephilim." After killing Eva and banishing Sparda to eternal torture in the darkest depths of the demon world, the demon god Mundus began hunting down Dante and other Nephilim as the only things that could kill him. Dante remained oblivious to his heritage and why every orphanage and foster home he lived in was full of demons abusing him until he eventually met up with Kat, who introduced Dante to a demon-fighting organization called "The Order." Their leader Vergil introduced himself as Dante’s twin brother and stated that they had a common interest - killing Mundus. He also revealed that much of the human world, or at least the area around Limbo City, was controlled by demons who hid in plain sight. Everything from soft drinks to news media was designed to keep humans complacent and unaware of the demonic forces manipulating every aspect of their lives, with Mundus himself carrying so much influence that he could casually threaten to blackmail the President of the United States. Limbo is a world existing "beneath" the physical one, where the conceptual tends to become a bit more literal and demons infest every corner. As such, things that happen in one world can influence the other. Normally, humans cannot see into or enter Limbo, nor can they see demons without magical assistance. After the death of Mundus at Dante's hands, the barriers between the human world and Limbo have begun to weaken and demons are appearing before people who were otherwise oblivious to them. Due to this and an interest in tracking down his brother Vergil after an "argument" (Vergil said something about wanting to rule humanity, the guys fought and Vergil ran off after a sound thrashing from Dante), Dante and Kat have set up a business for demon hunting. Run primarily through a website called "Devil May Cry" (Dante thought up the name, saying it "sounded great in his head") and paid through cryptocurrency (which Kat admitted was a fad, albeit a difficult-to-trace one), the business keeps the pair's wallets lined and affords them tips for demonic uprisings. Recently, Dante received a tip from a person going only by "Lucia" that a wealthy businessman in New York City was planning on reviving an ancient horror comparable to Mundus himself and using it to dominate humanity. Despite Lucia saying she absolutely did not have enough to pay for a job of this scale, Dante said he'd do it "pro bono" and took off for NYC.

  • Name: RYNO
  • Real Name: Rivet
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: 25
  • Appearance: A white-furred lombax (a catlike alien) with grey stripes and bright blue eyes, typically dressed in a black and grey jumpsuit with orange trim and a matching orange scarf. Her right arm has been replaced by a robotic yellow prosthesis, and she is typically seen with a large metal hammer close at hand. Stands at only 5ft tall, and unlike most female lombaxes, she possesses a large bushy tail. When in battle, she adopts a suit of full-body Carbonox armour; a suit of gunmetal grey alloy that is difficult to pierce by anything short of tremendous force or firepower. She also uses this armour to disguise her identity if necessary, as its helmet usefully hides her distinctive facial features.
  • Alignment: Anti-Hero
  • Generation: IV
  • Personality: Rivet is a good-intentioned but short-tempered lombax with limited patience but unlimited determination, eager to do right by others even if it sets her back or irritates her in the moment to do so. Her love for combat and sticking it to the system is only matched by her genuine love for other people, and she will happily put herself in harm's way for the sake of strangers if she feels it's the morally upright thing to do. Though her recklessness and penchant for going it alone has cost her an arm, she still firmly believes that she works best as a one-lombax act, and truthfully doubts herself as someone even capable of real teamwork. Nonetheless, Rivet's tough and sometimes abrasive personality is mitigated by a more fun and silly side that comes out when she allows herself to relax, though this is usually difficult for her to do if she feels like something takes precedence over her own comfort. Her status as the last remaining lombax (to her knowledge) is the source of much existential dread to her, as she feels the pressure of an entire species that she doesn't even know resting on her shoulders: as a result, she fights not only for the freedom of her galaxy and any innocents she comes across, but also for the dignity of her own people who she never even got the chance to learn about before it was too late.
  • Powers and Abilities:
    • Lombax Physiology: As a lombax, Rivet has an incredible agility and swiftness, as well as an unexpected (but natural) level of strength for her stature, meaning she's able to smack around foes thrice her size or lift heavy equipment with minimal effort. Her large ears serve to both keep her body temperature regulated and grant her sensitive hearing, and her furred body allows her to survive in colder temperatures than most would be able to. As a five-digited organism, (unlike many in her galaxy), Rivet is dexterous enough to handle complicated technology and weaponry, and has developed a mechanical side as a result of this advantage. As a side-effect of Nanotech integration, Rivet's blood is partially composed of microscopic nanobots that help prevent her from catching diseases and even give her an enhanced healing factor—so long as she doesn't suffer too many grievous injuries in succession, in which case she'll have to top up her Nanotech to keep going.
  • Weapons and Equipment:
    • Omnihammer: A size-adjustable hammer that can function both as a dangerous blunt weapon or as a socket wrench able to manipulate certain machinery. Rivet uses this hammer in close-quarters combat, taking advantage of its ability to extend its length in order to hit her opponents from a safe distance, and she also uses it to tinker with technology she finds as a general multi-purpose tool. The hammer can thankfully collapse into her telestorage without issue, so that she doesn't have to lug it around everywhere.
    • Resistance Arsenal: A collection of high-powered (and completely illegal) weapons that Rivet keeps in a personal telestorage pocket; able to be summoned to her hand or switched out at will. Thanks to her PDA (personal delivery assistant), she is able to remotely order ammunition for her weapons even when displaced from her home galaxy, albeit with a significantly increased cost due to intergalactic shipping tax.
      • Burst Pistol: A small single or rapid-fire plasma pistol charged with high-heat rounds.
      • The Enforcer: A double-barrelled plasma shotgun that is only effective at close range.
      • Shatterbomb: A frag grenade that sprays interdimensional shards across a small area.
      • Void Repulsor: A forcefield generator that can fire its own shields in a powerful burst.
      • Warmonger: A rocket launcher that can fire up to six potent heat-seeking missiles.
      • Blackhole Storm: A minigun that rapidly fires out crystal shards at risk of overheating.
      • Drillhound: A cannon that fires explosive robot-dogs that tear through the ground towards their targets.
      • Glove of Doom: A grenade that deploys a swarm of tiny biting robots that chase nearby enemies before exploding.
    • Resistance Gadgets: A collection of highly-useful (and still illegal) gadgets and gizmos that Rivet keeps alongside her weapons, ranging from mundane utilities to combat-ready defensive tech. These gadgets are primarily used to accentuate Rivet's mobility, though some (like the Trespasser) assist her in decrypting codes or hacking into systems. All of Rivet's gadgets are fitted into her Omnigloves and Omniboots for the sake of efficiency.
      • Swingshot: A laser-based grappling hook that can latch onto almost any solid surface. It can naturally also pull loose objects down, or accelerate Rivet's momentum so that she can fling herself long distances after a dizzying buildup. It can also be used to clamp onto energy barriers and tear them apart with enough force, giving Rivet an opening to attack.
      • Phantom Dash: A gadget pioneered by her fellow Resistance member, the eponymous Phantom, this glove-based device allows Rivet to dart into an alternate dimension after a run-up, allowing her to dash through certain surfaces (vents, fences, grates, energy barriers) and temporarily become invulnerable to harm until she rematerialises. She cannot chain these dashes constantly, however, and it functions more like a dodge or a mid-air extension to her jumps rather than a flat-out teleport. The device also allows Rivet to run along walls by dashing into them, even chaining jumps and dashes to get around without touching the floor.
      • Omniboots: A pair of multi-purpose boots with several gadgets integrated into them. Such gadgets include the Magneboots, which allow Rivet to run and jump on metal surfaces at any angle; the Grindboots, which allow Rivet to grind on rails or ledges using jet-propulsion, and the Hoverboots, which allow Rivet to skate along the ground at high speed and even atop water if she has enough momentum to do so. The Hoverboots in particular also allow Rivet to glide safely to the ground if she finds herself hurtling to her potential doom. These settings can be switched on the fly depending on the situation.
      • Hologuise: A holographic projection device which allows the wearer to disguise themselves as any organism that can be programmed into it. Despite it being able to be altered to resemble almost any form, this Resistance-brand hologuise has trouble accommodating for the short stature of lombaxes and as such usually results in squashed-looking versions of the disguise's target. Rivet's current Hologuise resembles a squat, somewhat adorably clunky robot with a characteristic stiff-armed waddling gait.
  • Assets:
    • Bolts: The main currency from Rivet's home sector of space, and in fact the standard currency of many neighbouring galaxies of Polaris; including the Solana and Bogon galaxies. Bolts are excess nuts, bolts, rivets, and other such miscellaneous fasteners that have taken on a monetary value due to the overabundance of technologies throughout the galaxies that require them as replacements. Effectively starting off as a bartering system, bolts have undergone severe inflation to the point where high-powered weapons can cost tens of thousands, which Rivet has naturally saved up due to her need for a large arsenal. Rivet has roughly 20k bolts in her account, which is more than enough to comfortably cover refills of ammunition or a few upgrades here and there, and her account thankfully converts any extragalactic currency she receives into bolts without much issue.
  • Source: Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
  • Origin Story:
    • Ostensibly originating from the planet Sargasso in the distant Polaris Galaxy, Rivet was an orphan from the start, raised only by her own sensibilities and the occasional help of the local friendly Mort population who looked after her whenever she was in dire straits. Aside from these interactions, Rivet was isolated and spent most of her time tinkering in her garage, having grown up with gadgets and weapons all around her and thus being able to take apart and put back together almost any technology she got her paws on. As she grew up and became more bold, she channelled her ingenuity and deep-set anger into making a stand against the oppressive regime of Emperor Nefarious, who she'd witnessed rise up to take over the galaxy and crush anyone who got in his way. Joining the intergalactic Resistance at only 15 years old, Rivet was trained by her peers and sent out on a variety of solo missions due to her aptitude with weapons and gadgets, gaining a reputation as a one-woman army despite her never actually achieving a single substantial victory against Nefarious' rulership. Even though the Resistance struggled to make even a dent against the malevolent overlord, Rivet's stubborn attitude to fight against him helped keep the Resistance efforts strong, and her distinctive lombax features eventually even became the symbol of the Resistance itself; bolstering her confidence and convincing her that it was worth struggling to make a difference in the galaxy.
    • Rivet's confidence soon became overconfidence, however, and she developed an abrasive lone wolf personality that only served to undermine the efforts of the Resistance to make coordinated attacks against the Emperor's assets and military. This culminated into yet another failure during one of Rivet's insisted-upon solo missions, but to a much more drastic extent than before: an unexpected encounter with a violent warbot caught Rivet unawares, and her dominant arm was obliterated after she was attacked by it, leaving her certain that she was going to be executed on the spot. To her surprise, however, the warbot left her alone and allowed Rivet to escape with her life—after which Rivet created a prosthetic to replace her lost limb, gaining a newfound distrust for robotic lifeforms and a general hesitation towards trusting others out of fear of being caught by surprise again. Instead of shocking her into humility, the experience only left Rivet sour and jaded, causing her to become even more solitary and vengeful against Nefarious than before; an attitude which persisted well into her 20s and beyond.
    • Ten years involved in the Resistance has gotten Rivet used to losing friends, killing the Emperor's lackeys en masse, and buying bigger and more violent weapons over time in a desperate attempt to do something to weaken Nefarious' hold on the Polaris Galaxy. Her experiences have hardened her resolve to keep fighting, but her sensibilities have softened a little over time, as she's begun to connect with her old friends again and generally act more amiably to civilians in an attempt to break out of her shell a bit more. Her most recent mission ended in a surprising disruption, however, as a Nefarious goon turned an experimental weaponized teleportation device on her—zapping Rivet to a completely different galaxy with no ship or option for a return trip. Now stranded in the Milky Way Galaxy, on Earth of all places, Rivet is (perhaps fittingly) more alone than she'd ever been even back on Sargasso where she grew up, so whether she'll finally cave from the pressure or keep pushing on has yet to be seen; especially with her instability caused by her stressful experiences. Still, whether or not she's fighting the Emperor doesn't really matter to her—so long as she has a monstrous enemy to shoot, Rivet knows deep down where she stands.

  • Name: Scream
  • Real Name: Andrea "Andi" Benton
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: 20
  • Appearance: In her normal form, and as Scream in her symbiote form
  • Alignment: Anti-Hero
  • Generation: Fourth Age
  • Personality: Andi had been a somewhat typical punk teenage girl, slacking off and cutting class - particularly gym - whenever she could get away with it, and expressing disaffected sarcasm at the world. Andi harbored a deep loneliness rooted in her belief that her mother had abandoned her as an infant, and the deaths of her father, Flash Thompson, the Mania symbiote and her Aunt, combined with her homelessness had brought a toxic belief on her mind that she only brings suffering to those around her, and often tried to push others away due to that. Despite that and her sass, she was a compassionate person and tries to do the right thing, even if its in a grumpy and moody way. Despite frequently bickering with Agent Venom, Andi quickly came to see Flash Thompson as not only a mentor but a surrogate father, and his death saddened her greatly. Despite initially hating the Scream symbiote, it helping her through tough times and saving her life many times caused Andi to realize they weren't so different after all and she came to accept the symbiote as family, akin to a sister in arms.
  • Powers and Abilities:
    • The Scream Symbiote: Bonded to her at a cellular level, the Scream symbiote grants Andi an accelerated healing factor and the ability to manipulate the symbiote's biomass into an array of tendrils, appendages and various other weapons, or even wings to fly around. Not only Andi gains increased strenght, durability and agility while fully bonded with Scream and in her monstrous form, but her tendril-like hair can also be weaponized to lash or grab her foes. Andi's healing factor is sufficiently advanced to the point that the symbiote can heal her from having nearly every bone in his body broken within a matter of a few hours. The symbiote also makes their host almost immune to most diseases as it cures them from it. Andi can also crawl in walls, wall run and create webbing, as a inheritance from the Scream Symbiote's father, Venom, being bonded to a famous wall crawling superhero. However, the Scream symbiote, like all others of its kind, is vulnerable to heat and sonic based attacks. They can cause the symbiote physical pain and discomfort.
  • Weapons and Equipment: Except for her clothes, a old phone and her symbiote, nothing special.
  • Assets: Nothing except the symbiote bonded to her. Homelessness kinda does that to you...
  • Source: Marvel Universe.
  • Origin Story: Andi was born on October 27th in the back of a Chevy, her father having gotten into an accident on the way to St. Mary's Hospital. Shortly after her birth, Andi's mother left her in the care of her father and disappeared, a topic which became a source of great anger and despair for her as she grew up. Andi happened to attend West Philadelphia High School, where Flash Thompson, also known as Agent Venom, a U.S Military operative and symbiote bonded superhero, started working as an assistant coach. She usually skipped gym class, and one day she was the only witness when Flash used his symbiote-enhanced arm to throw a ball at a bully, and came to the conclusion Thompson was Venom. When a mob boss put a price on Agent Venom's head, Andi was targeted by a supervillain, Agent Venom was unable to save Andi's father from being stabbed by the maniac, but when the villain released a poisonous gas, Flash protected Andi with a portion of his symbiote, which ended up bonding to Andi rather than only protecting her from her imminent death. Dubbing herself and her symbiote "Mania", after some hesistance and moving in with her aunt, she became a sidekick to Flash Thompson.

Long story short and years later, between losing the Mania symbiote, the death of Flash Thompson, her aunt being killed, and her almost dying to a psychopathic and homicidal symbiote known as Carnage, she ended up left homeless in New York, and feeling abandoned by everyone who had cared about her. Intrusive thoughts of taking her own life came, and she almost did....atleast until she ended up saved by the Scream symbiote. Despite initially hating the Scream symbiote, she came to accept the symbiote as family, and to this day, they both remain bonded. While still homeless, Andi and Scream go through the seedier parts of New York City to hunt down any would be criminals...and vent her rage as well.

  • Name: King Koopa
  • Real Name: Bowser
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 34
  • Appearance: "Showtime!" Bowser stands a monstrous nine feet tall, towering imposingly over normal humans.
  • Alignment: Villain
  • Generation: Fourth Age
  • Personality: Bowser views himself as a villain and acts accordingly. He has no qualms about stepping on people and breaking things, views his minions as disposable, and dislikes do-gooders on principle. He also views himself as the best villain, and refuses to play second fiddle to anyone else, though he will begrudgingly do team-ups as long as the other person demonstrates their strength and doesn't imply they're better than him. He will even fight other villains, because no one other than him is allowed to conquer the world or kidnap princesses. His ego is exacerbated by him not being the brightest bulb, most of his plans amounting to little more than overwhelming brute force. Other than himself, he does show genuine concern for exactly two people: Princess Peach and his son, Bowser Junior. Kidnapping or harming either is a good way to get him unbelievably pissed at you.
  • Powers and Abilities:
    • Big Bad Boss: Bowser is exactly as inhumanly powerful and durable as you'd expect from a giant turtle monster. His footsteps boom omniously, his claws can rend metal like paper, and he could easily tear down a building with his bare hands. He can withstand being dunked in lava and thrown into bombs, and seemingly always manages to come back no matter how many times he's beaten. While his mobility leaves something to be desired, he can run pretty fast in a straight line and jump several times his own height.
    • Whirling Fortress: His shell is nearly indestructible, even tougher than the rest of his body, and he can retract his head and limbs into it for extra defense. While curled up like this, he can freely spin himself and/or roll around, turning into effectively a giant spiked wrecking ball.
    • Fire Breath: His trademark attack, which he can exhale either in the form of explosive fireballs or a stream of burning death. Vaguely magical in nature, Bowser's fire holds its form for several seconds after leaving his mouth despite lack of fuel, allowing him to do things like spit fireballs that rain down from the sky.
  • Weapons and Equipment: His handy Koopa Clown Car, a personal propeller-based hovercraft.
  • Assets: Nothing, currently. At some point he hopes to get in contact with his kingdom and army of disposable minions, but at present he just has a Clown Car and the shell on his back.
  • Source: Mario
  • Origin Story: Hailing from a nearby dimension, accessed through magical pipes, Bowser was raised from birth to be the terrifying king of the Koopa Kingdom, and sought to take over the neighboring Mushroom Kingdom so as to marry it's princess and cement himself as king of the world. However, he was foiled by a mustachioed plumber who had wandered in from one of the warp pipes. This became a trend. After losing countless times, Bowser discovered that the plumber hailed from a place called Brooklyn, and traveled through the pipe back to his enemy's home, hoping to conquer it in vengeance. After emerging in New York City, Bowser realized that his enormous bulk had destroyed the pipe back home, leaving him stranded without an army or money. Fortunately, crime in this universe can pay quite well...

What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?

  • Name: Diablo ex Machina & the Heylin Witch

  • Real Name: Jack Spicer / Wuya

  • Gender: Male (Jack), Female (Wuya)

  • Age: 16 (Jack), Old (Wuya)

  • Appearance: Jack Spicer has pale, almost grey skin and short spiky red hair, and often wears a pair of goggles and black clothing. Wuya is a tanned tall woman with dark red hair, who also favors dark clothing but is able to fit in pretty much any clothing of her choosing.

  • Alignment: Evil, and proud of it (usually)

  • Generation: Fourth Age

  • Personality: Jack Spicer wants the world to know his name, and his bragging and showboating is all in service to that. While he might think he's cool and confident, the fact that he's not even fully grown yet means he'll often expose himself as the insecure teenager he is, be it through lame jokes or childish behavior in general. When things start turning south in his schemes, he's more likely to run for it and let his Jack Bots cover his escape than actually stay and fight... unless someone has managed to push his buttons hard enough, in which case there's a very real chance he'll go even harder on the offensive, consequences be damned. By contrast, Wuya is almost unnaturally calm and collected, rarely letting her frustrations or other heightened states of emotion come to the surface when around others. 'Never let them see you sweat', as the saying goes. While she's very much capable of throwing down in a fight, Wuya prefers manipulation and trickery so her targets act how she wants them to, and she gets what she wants without having to lift a finger.

  • Powers and Abilities:

    • Intelligence: Practically from the moment he could walk and talk, Jack showed that compared to his peers, his smarts were on another level, and this only became more apparent as he got older. Once he was old enough to get into building and engineering, his ambitions really took off, as it wasn't long at all before he was building robots and diving headfirst into studying AI to program them to do whatever he commanded.

    • Athleticism: Despite his smarts being his best trait, Jack is no stranger to physical activity, on account of his mother signing him up for multiple sports lessons. As such, his body has adapted to the rigorous exercise and made him nimble and agile, albeit still at human levels. In practice, this means Jack is quicker than he looks, and he's adept at dodging and weaving past enemy attacks.

    • Heylin Magic: While not all of Wuya's powers are available to her given her limitations, Wuya is still able to move and react quicker than a human as well as hit harder than one (as in able to punch through a metal wall with little issue), meaning that her martial arts have a noticeable leg up on even a trained human fighter. Her real prowess is in her magical abilities: in addition to passive abilities such as flight and teleportation, Wuya is able to utilize green fire, a flame that burns hotter than normal fire and can burn spiritual entities. Other abilities she possesses are telekinesis, allowing her to manipulate and move objects roughly her own size without physically touching them, and the power of illusions, allowing her to create false images and settings to trick others into interacting with what's not truly there.

  • Weapons and Equipment:

    • Monkey Staff: One of the few Shen Gong Wu (see Origin Story for more details) that Jack has a fondness for, this staff packs a whallop when used as a weapon, but its real trick is being able to grant its user monkey-like qualities, such as enhanced agility and speed. If its magic is used for too long, however, the user is at risk of taking on more and more qualities until they outright transform into one, with them remaining as a monkey until the staff is taken away.

    • Helibot: A gift from Jack's grandmother, this allows Jack a great deal of aerial mobility, allowing him to stay in the air and survey the land below or even engage in a fight in the sky.

  • Assets:
    • Wealth: Being a rich kid with parents who ignore him most of the time has its perks, as Jack is able to put the funds at his disposal to use for his schemes, be it ordering parts or purchasing goods under the radar. He can't spend too much of the family money at once, however, so occasionally he'll try to acquire money from other sources, be it selling things from his own inventory or going on heists for pure monetary gain.

    • Jack Bots: Given how long he's been making these, Jack has enough of these on call that he can summon groups of them whenever and wherever he pleases. The rank and file robots are capable of flight and combat, but they're not exactly sturdy, as a trained human fighter can take them out with a few good hits. More specialized robots include but aren't limited to ones that can turn invisible, disguise themselves as other people, and travel underwater without succumbing to deep ocean pressure.

  • Source: Xiaolin Showdown

  • Origin Story:

Long ago in a distant land, a great battle took place between good and evil. Grand Master Dashi, the greatest of the monks known as the Xiaolin Dragons, faced off against the Heylin Witch known as Wuya to decide the fate of the world. While Wuya's dark magic was fearsome and powerful enough to drive off any other challengers or smite them on the spot, Dashi had an ace in the hole at his disposal: a collection of magical artifacts known as Shen Gong Wu, each with a different ability tied to them to aid the user. Through a combination of the Shen Gong Wu and his own martial prowess, Dashi emerged victorious in the conflict, sealing Wuya's powers and locking her spirit away in a mystical puzzle box, scattering his collection of deactivated Shen Gong Wu to the winds so that evildoers could never lay claim to them.

Many, many years later, in the aftermath of the T.C. Event, the puzzle box fell into the hands of a rich yet frustrated teenager with villainous ambitions by the name of Jack Spicer, with neither him nor his father who purchased it knowing what lay inside. Given that Jack was quite the intelligent young man, it didn't take him long to figure out how to open the box, and once he did so, the spirit of the Heylin Witch was released once more. After a bit of butting heads with one another, Wuya was able to convince Jack to help her with her little 'out of body' problem, though she didn't have much faith in his abilities given his insistence that magic was inherently inferior to technology.

As Jack would soon prove, this was no idle boast to make himself look good: the fact that Wuya was released back into the world meant that the Shen Gong Wu were reactivating one by one, and by studying the few Shen Gong Wu he was able to locate as well as the few remnants of Wuya's possessions from the ancient past, Jack was able to bypass the seal on Wuya that Dashi had placed upon her and supercharge her enough to allow her to regenerate into a human form. While not all of her powers from her prime were returned to her, the fact that Jack managed it at all proved to be enough for Wuya to make him an offer of apprenticeship to mold him into a worthy Heylin warrior so that they could take the world by storm, an offer that Jack accepted.

I'm not exactly proposing a secondary villain character like everybody else, but instead I've decided on swapping out my current bold-hearted hero for someone a little bit more anti-heroish. Everyone, meet...

  • Name: Nimona
  • Gender: Goes by she/her pronouns but objects to being called a "girl", so her overall gender identity is a bit ambiguous
  • Age: At least 1000 years old
  • Appearance: "This is the part where you run."
  • Alignment: Anti-Hero
  • Generation: First Age, but you sure wouldn't guess that just from looking at her.
  • Personality: Nimona is a rebellious and chaotic force of nature, and loves rebelling against any authority she perceives as getting in her way. She takes great joy in intimidating people, and loves threatening things like murder and maiming, but at the end of the day is actually very non-lethal, basically never going any further than just incapacitating her enemies in a fight. She acts very confident and sure of herself 90% of the time, and could easily fool you into thinking she's just fine mentally, but deep down inside she actually has a lot of self-loathing built up from countless years of people calling her a monster just for being different. Overall though she's pretty happy-go-lucky and carefree. While she acts like she's not a very empathetic or caring person, she's determined to protect innocents and will usually bond very closely with anyone she perceives to be a kindred spirit.
  • Powers and Abilities:
    • Shapeshifting: Nimona's primary ability is to shapeshift into any creature she's seen before. Whether she's seen a picture of it or seen it in person, as long as she knows what it looks like she can turn into it, whether it's a wolf, a whale or even a human. The forms she shapeshifts into tend to be almost entirely pink in color even if this makes no sense for the creature, but she can recreate their normal color schemes if she tries hard enough. However, she can only shapeshift into things that actually exist, so even if she sees a creature that's fictional, she can't turn into it. She also can't turn into inanimate objects, as that would render her inanimate. Nimona shapeshifts liberally and regularly unless she's in the presence of someone she doesn't want to reveal her true identity to, considering staying in one form for too long a horrendous and unpleasant experience.
    • Superhuman Durability: Nimona is extremely durable, able to take hits that would easily incapacitate a normal person and keep on trucking. However this durability does have limits, and strong enough weaponry can still pose a very significant threat to her, as well as things like fire and acid.
    • Healing Factor: Nimona also regenerates much faster than a normal human being, able to heal from wounds in record time. While it's not nearly fast enough to allow her to recover immediately after being wounded, she'll definitely start recovering significantly if a fight goes on long enough, and practically any affliction she receives can ultimately be walked off, though the more grievous a wound the longer it will take to heal.
    • Immortality: While she can still be killed, Nimona seemingly does not physically age at all. She is almost the exact same physically as she was a century ago, and it's likely she was very similar to how she is now even centuries before that.
  • Weapons and Equipment: None. Nimona handles things with her shapeshifting and her bare hands.
  • Assets: She has enough pocket change to get by, but other than that, that's about it.
  • Source: NIMONA (2023), with a bit of the original webcomic mixed in
  • Origin Story: Nimona has been around since at least the medieval era, and has frequently been hunted by the people who believed her to be a monster for her shapeshifting abilities and inability to age. However, she became a Hero during the First Age of Heroes in an attempt to convince the public that people with superpowers were not to be feared, hoping that she could make people believe she wasn't a monster.
  • During the 50s she was joined by a Heroine with a knight aesthetic who fought crime in a suit of high tech powered armor that she had made herself, calling herself Paladin, though her real name which she kept secret from everyone but Nimona was Gloreth. The two were closer to each other than anyone else, sharing a seemingly unbreakable bond. That is, until the 60s rolled around...
  • During the Second Age of Heroes, hatred for Mutants began boiling, and Nimona was hunted by the military. In addition, a combination of envy towards Mutants for being born with powers rather than having to rely on technology as well as the toxic influence of her friends and family members who didn't know of her identity as Paladin caused Gloreth to not only retire from superheroing but turn against Nimona entirely.
  • Gloreth revealed her true identity to the world as Paladin, publicly renouncing her previous role as an ally to Nimona, and went on to found an organization known as The Institute, dedicated to the hunting of mutant superheroes and possessing a fiery hatred for mutantkind in general. She used her technological expertise to equip the Institute with powerful armor and weaponry similar to the kind she herself wielded as Paladin, and began aiding the military in the mutant hunt.
  • By the Third Age of Heroes, Gloreth had perished and The Institute was headed by a new Director, as well as a new individual taking up the title of Paladin and wielding Gloreth's old power armor. Nimona fought bravely against them still, albeit with a different appearance and an alias in order to keep herself under the radar, but there was little she could do, and things were looking grim. The Institute only grew in power, and hunted down Mutant Heroes with wild abandon. Then, a calamity of infinite proportions occurred, and The Institute's forces were decimated, forcing them to retire.
  • The world seemed peaceful, and Nimona rested, trying her best to live a peaceful and quiet life. She spent most of her time on Krakoa, and while she was happy there, she could never truly forget about how Gloreth had betrayed her. She lived on Krakoa until...
  • ...The T.C Event occurred, and as the dust was settling, The Institute re-emerged, having been slowly rebuilding itself ever since the catastrophe that destroyed it at the end of the Third Age. Now they're headed by a new Director and a new warrior taking up Gloreth's old armor and the mantle of Paladin. However, interestingly, a new supervillain has also appeared. They're wielding their own suit of power armor that looks like a dark and shadowy version of Paladin's, and they call themself Blackheart.
  • All of this is enough to draw Nimona out of retirement. She's returned to heroing, actively fighting The Institute and refusing to let them return to attacking mutantkind. And she's got to admit, she's really interested in this new Blackheart guy. Maybe if she can manage to find them, she could convince them to become her ally...?

  • Name: Blackheart

  • Real Name: Ballister Boldheart

  • Gender: Male

  • Age: 23

  • Appearance: "As I said, I go by the rules. Not their rules. Mine."

  • Alignment: Anti-Villain (he's hardly a villain at all really, but it's the title he's been given and it's the title he insists on)

  • Generation: 4th Generation

  • Personality: Ballister has always been deeply caring and still is to this day, but he used to be a lot more optimistic than he is now. He used to have a very rigid code of honor, and while there are some rules he still refuses to break (harming innocents and killing), most of his remaining code beyond that is built out of pragmatism rather than the ideals it used to be founded on. He can be very meticulous and calculating at times, preferring to think things out rather than acting on instinct and always doing his best to make sure his plans are airtight. Still, despite all his cynicism and the various aspects of his personality that might make him seem cold to an outsider, he's actually an extremely kind and compassionate individual. It's that very empathy and ability to love deeply and passionately that led to him becoming cautious and bitter in the first place, after all. After all, that tends to happen when one is betrayed...

  • Powers and Abilities:

    • Abnormal Intelligence: Ballister is far smarter than your average Joe in terms of intelligence, capable of learning advanced subjects very quickly, making complex plans even faster, and he has a natural knack for figuring out the inner workings of even the most intimidating mechanisms that makes him a natural gadgeteer. His brain is possibly his greatest asset of all.

  • Weapons and Equipment:

    • Prosthetic Arm: Ballister's right arm was replaced with a mechanical prosthetic of his own making after the original was damaged beyond repair. It's much stronger and more durable than a normal human arm, but this comes at the cost of it being unable to heal naturally, meaning all damage to it has to be repaired by Ballister himself using metal.

    • Gadgets: Ballister has created all sorts of useful doohickeys all over the years that serve a large variety of purposes, from laser guns of various sizes to sensors which can detect all varieties of energy, and even a few hologram projectors. Chances are, if Ballister needs something, he can pull out a gadget which can serve that need (Within reason and at the GM's discretion).

    • Sword(s): Ballister owns two different swords which serve as his main weapons, one a medieval-style knight's sword with a blade of steel, and the other a technological version of that same weapon with a laser blade. While the laser sword is undeniably more effective at its intended purpose than the analogue one, Ballister tends to use the medieval sword more often, as there's less of a potential for him to inflict more damage than he intended with it or accidentally hurt himself. A blade of pure plasma may be flashy and awesome, but you simply can't go wrong with 'ole reliable.

    • Blackheart Armor: Ballister is typically clad in a reverse-engineered version of the Paladin power armor, tailored for his specific needs. It enhances his physical strength considerably, as well as being far more durable than a normal suit of armor, to the point where it can take hits from superhumans and keep on functioning pretty damn well. It can even absorb most of the energy of energy attacks, though those attacks do still hurt of course. Overall, if his brain is Ballister's most valuable asset, this armor is his second most valuable one, though it does have one weakness in the fact that it's lacking a proper helmet, making Ballister vulnerable to headshots.

  • Assets: Ballister's secret lair is located in the basement of an old abandoned church in one of the seedier neighborhoods of NYC. It requires both a code entered into a keypad and a retina scan to access, but anyone who enters will find it's far comfier than you would expect, really more like a humble apartment than the lair of a supervillain aside from the various inventions littered around the place. Ballister also has enough money to manage for himself and buy all the resources he needs, but he's FAR from being rich or even really upper-middle class so he still needs to spend frugally.

  • Source: NIMONA (the original webcomic), though there's also elements of his portrayal in the 2023 film.

  • Origin Story: Ballister Boldheart never knew his parents. His earliest memories were of The Institute, as he was raised by them, and he was told that his parents were innocent civilians (albeit poor ones who barely managed to scrape by) who were killed by mutants. The truth is a bit more complicated than that.

  • In reality, Ballister’s parents were mutants, or, well, his first adopted parents, anyway. It’s unknown who his real biological parents were, but he was adopted by a family of two mutants who were determined to raise him. Unfortunately, all of that came to an end when The Institute hunted them down, and after doing some very unpleasant things to the parents, they took the young Ballister into their custody, still a baby at the time. Not everyone within The Institute was happy about this, but it was done nonetheless.

  • Unpopular in virtually every social circle (which he believed was due to his parents’ status and the fact he was adopted in) Ballister’s only real friend for all of his time at The Institute was a boy of his age called Ambrosius Goldenloin. Ambrosius was much more popular among the members of The Institute, being the son of the current wielder of the Paladin armor at the time. Despite seemingly being everything that Ballister wasn’t, the two got along like a house on fire, becoming the best of friends in the blink of an eye. Over time, however, their relationship began to grow into something a bit more than that…

  • As the two’s bond began to become a lot more romantic than platonic, and they grew up into adults, the time came for the two of them to take up proper roles in The Institute’s hierarchy. After rigorous testing, it was determined there were only two candidates who fit all the necessary categories required to wield the Paladin armor: Ballister and Ambrosius. And so, the two’s final challenge began, a joust for all the marbles, a fair test of skill to determine who would be The Institute’s flagship warrior.

  • Unfortunately, on that day, something went horribly wrong. It seemed, at first, as if Ballister had won. He knocked Ambrosius off of his mount, sealing his victory in the duel, and claiming his right to wield the Paladin armor as the crowd roared. However, as he was dismounting, Ambrosius’ lance began to glow a brilliant green…and fired off a powerful beam of energy that slammed right into Ballister’s arm, causing it to explode violently.

  • Though Ballister survived the incident, his new lack of an arm caused The Institute to deem him unable to serve as Paladin, or even to serve The Institute at all. A physical deficiency like this, no matter who it was who had it, couldn’t be tolerated in their organization. And so, they fired him. Meanwhile, they reportedly looked into the circumstances of Ambrosius’ weapon firing, and determined that he was innocent and unaware of the fact that his weapon had been altered and tampered with beforehand. Ambrosius reiterated this claim to Ballister, begging him to believe him, but Ballister knew him. He could tell that he was lying about at the very least part of it, and said goodbye to him, leaving The Institute for good.

  • After crafting a robotic replacement arm, he forged himself a set of armor matching that of Paladin, and took up the name Blackheart, becoming a “villain” and setting out to do everything he could to spite the organization which had betrayed him. But in his search for ways to get back at The Institute, he may end up discovering darker secrets about them that change everything he thought he knew…

  • Additional Notes: I would have used an image of him from the webcomic for his appearance, but I couldn't find one that showed off his whole appearance very well, and I think this image from the movie does a pretty damn good job of showing off what he looks like in this.

For the benefit of those outside the community: the reason for all these signups is because I floated a new rule, created via popular demand, and the player base has been very excited about it. Now, the time has come to pass the bill into law

Secondary Characters: If a player has been an active participant for no less a time than three months, they will be entitled to sign up as another character or group, completely separate from what they already play. It is encouraged that if a player is currently using a heroic character, then they bring in a villainous character, and vice versa, in order to balance the cast dynamic. Exceptions may be made IF the player, together with my most trusted staff members, can present a good argument for doing so.

And with that, all characters on this page are now Accepted.

  • Name: Doctor Eggman/The Tinkerer
  • Real Name: Ivo Robotnik (Formerly Julian Kintobor)
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: Early 50's
  • Appearance: "I am the Eggman, that's what I am!"
  • Alignment: Evil
  • Generation: Fourth Age
  • Personality: The only thing greater than Eggman's intellect is his ego. As far as he's concerned he's better than everyone else and has the raw talent and gumption to back it up. If the question is whether he should demolish the city and build a theme park atop its corpse, the answer is 'why not?' His monstrous nature only serves to feed his ambition. He revels in being twisted and cruel, his sadistic malice contrasting his whimsical exterior. When he's not kicking puppies and planting explosives in their stomachs, he's sitting back with a ping-pong paddle and a cold glass of cola. He flops between those two extremes whenever it suits him and the result can be unsettling. He has a bad habit of keeping traitors and backstabbers in his inner circle, but it's all part of the game.
  • Powers and Abilities: Eggman is a genius. His skill in the lab is unparalleled, but he's also a brilliant tactician. He can juggle killer death rays and elaborate stratagems on one hand and blend them together for deadly effect. As long as he has the proper resources he can cook up killer robots and hovercars and phase-shifting tennis balls without breaking a sweat, but he doesn't need much. For reasons he can't explain he's stronger than most humans, but it seems to be a recent development.
  • Weapons and Equipment: Eggman's arsenal depends on the day of the week, but the Eggmobile is his vehicle of his choice. It gets him around and has dozens of swappable armaments and accessories. His favorite is a ball and chain, but he has other modules to choose from depending on the situation. He carries a raygun to defend himself, but he prefers to let his subordinates do the killing for him.
  • Assets: As lord of Mobius, Eggman has resources a-plenty. The nature of the Cosmic Interstate and his own whims limits his access to them, but he has whole fleets and armies of killer robots at his command. When those fail, he'll send flesh and blood. The Dark Egg Legion is a recent acquisition, but their organic brains give them an edge over his robotic minions. They aren't nearly as loyal, but each Legionnaire has an explosive shoved in their chest to keep them in line. Recently he's begun converting humans into robotic drones. Their numbers pale compared to his armies, but having ready-to-go minions has proven most convenient.
  • Source: ''Sonic the Hedgehog.'' Specifically the Archie comics.
  • Origin Story: As with Bunnie, Eggman comes from Mobius. Technically he's an Overlander, the closest humanity has to direct descendants. During the Great War he defected from the Overlanders to the Acorn Kingdom out of necessity, but he saw an opportunity. Selling his services to the King he rose though the ranks, proving himself both as an inventor and a tactical genius. After the war was won he made his move. In a single day he took control of the Acorn Kingdom and turned everyone in Mobotropolis into robots, forcing the king's daughter and her friends underground. Using the Acorn Kingdom as a base he soon conquered the world and ruled it with an iron fist, slowly turning the planet's population into obedient robots. Most of the world has stayed under his control, but the remaining 1% has proven resilient. Unable to cement his rule in the present, he's turned his attention to the past, traveling across time and space with the help of the Cosmic Interstate. If he can't beat that pesky blue hedgehog and his friends, then he just needs to go somewhere they don't exist.

Alright, it's about time I actually had a hero in my roster.

  • Name: Calliope, The Last Muse
    • Notably, almost no one who actually knows her use this name for her. She doesn't like being referred to by it, mostly because she associates it more with the previous holder of the title.
  • Real Name: Grace
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: Early 20s
  • Appearance: Absolutely thriving.
  • Alignment: Hero
  • Generation: Fourth Age, but inheriting a far older legacy
  • Personality: Grace is a good person; empathetic, cheerful and confident. She's got a good wit, plenty of charm, a good-natured sarcastic streak but importantly she isn't always nice. She is more than willing to call others out on hypocrisy and lies and take a few drastic acts if it helps others grow to be better.
  • Powers and Abilities:
    • The Eidolon: The thing that makes an Idol an Idol, this sliver of soul contains all the power of one of these gods and a flood of their memories. Grace obtained hers upon the death of the previous Calliope and has over the past few months gotten used to some of the strengths common to all Idols: Enhanced strength (thankfully only through exertion), heightened attention to detail and substantial resiliency to mortal injury (though given what she's heard, bullets will still pretty easily kill her).
    • A Muse Evokes: The power contained within Grace's own Eidolon and most clearly telegraphed by her eyes glowing golden. Tapping into her own feelings of power, Grace can bring forth the song within the hearts of others (and sometimes just herself), warp the surroundings into thematic tableaus and nudge people into singing the truth of themselves. Notably though, this power cannot force into doing something they otherwise wouldn't (including singing) and beyond pushing the tone in various ways she has no fine control over where the song goes. Grace has found that outside of murder investigation among sympathetic peers, this power kind of lacks a potent use case. Ah well.
    • And Grace Kicks Ass: Not a power, but Grace knows how to fight and the common empowerment of the Eidolon has really brought her to a good level to fight alongside some of the other heroes running around New York.
  • Weapons and Equipment:
    • A smartphone, because that isn't always a certainty among both the Idols and the wider superpowered community.
    • A mace; it belonged to her best friend but never really saw use. Grace has taken it up (and gotten a more custom belt loop made for it) because it gives a little intimidation factor and because it's one of the few things left of her friend. Of course when a fight breaks out she's more likely to use her fists than to reach for the mace.
  • Assets:
    • A very good network of contacts among the Idols, including a Titan who administrates an equally titanic library/reliquary complex, the current queen of the Greek underworld and a mundane computer hacker named Oracle.
    • Owns an apartment that she lives in. It's not spectacular but it's still comfortable (if a little empty without the previous roommate).
    • A decent amount of income, derived from gig fees (mostly from the nightclub Persephone used to own before reclaiming the throne of Hades; the new owners seem to have the same amount of business acumen and desire to keep the place tailored to Idol clientele) and donations from Idol friends and mortal fans (Grace is slightly concerned those fans are some kind of mystery cult).
  • Source: Stray Gods
  • Origin Story:
    • It all feels so petty, everything before a couple months ago. It's not faded, hopefully it never will but it's weirdly humdrum. A childhood friend by her side through it all, bad experiences with sketchy dates, dropping out of college, joining her friend's band just to have a reason to stay by her side... And then a god died in her arms, and the thing that made that god a god passed on to Grace.
    • It was a rush of a week; investigating the death of Calliope so Grace wouldn't be executed for a deed she did not do, meeting the rest of the surviving Greek gods (now calling themselves Idols) and slowly piecing together alliances and friendships with them, helping the literal Minotaur deal with his love life, learning about how much these Idols suffered during World War II and escaped to America, battled the gorgon Medusa, lost her best friend to the furies, helped Persephone retake the throne of the Underworld, unseated Athena from leading the Idols and fulfilled a prophecy by pulling the Idols out of the shadows and revealing their existence to the world..!
    • The reaction from the world at large was an almost stifling "yes, and?". Oh sure, there were ripples, those who were already interested in the Greek pantheon were thrilled to know the gods themselves were real and flocked to any news about them; but to the rest of the world so suffused with superheroes (some even claiming to be Incarnations of the Greek gods already) this was just another set of powered individuals who seemed mostly intent on living their lives rather than engaging in the grand game of good versus evil.
    • It's been a couple of months since then and things have mostly quietened down on the 'reveal the existence of the Idols to the world' front. Grace is in a bit of a slump, the music gigs are a nice chance to practice her powers but it still feels like she should be out there, doing more. So, she's decided to get out there and see what life is like for the non-divine empowered persons here in New York and maybe see about finding a niche of hero work she can occupy.

It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.

Nifty. I can see Grace filling the same sort of ecological niche as the likes of Jessica Jones.

I'm gonna set down my villain choice, hopefully this will get me more active.

Wolfgang's 5th Symphony
  • Name: None
  • Real Name: Roquefort
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 50s-60s
  • Appearance: The Wolf Of Wall Street
  • Alignment: Evil (Selfish Evil specifically)
  • Generation: Fourth Generation
  • Personality: A scrooge like miser penny pincher, Roquefort prefers to keep books well out of the black though by cutting corners and not funding projects. His short temper makes him hard to get along with, but he still commands respect, especially as he relates to his employer, Kale. If there is anyone Roquefort has an utter loyalty to, it is to Kale for saving his life, rebuilding his body, and making him stronger than ever.
  • Powers and Abilities:
    • Cybernetic Body - Completely rebuilt from the ground up with a body designed by Kale Vandelay himself, Roquefort is a fullbody cyborg with advanced systems installed. When sufficiently angered he can transform, his body shifting in size into a large cybernetic werewolf, with functioning claws and teeth.
    • Financial Advice - Roquefort's by no means an idiot, he keeps the books balanced and manages to keep the company above water and profitable... even as he continues to cut corners. This makes him a sound second in command for Kale.
    • Anger Problems - Linked to his werewolf form, the angrier he is, the harder he is to keep down, though even this has its limitations. Anger only lasts so long and adrenaline eventually wears off, as well as significant enough weaponry can damage his body.
  • Weapons and Equipment:
    • Integrated Cybernetic Weapons - Claws, Teeth, basic stuff.
  • Assets:
    • Vandelay Technologies Backing - While Roquefort is out of his office for now, he still has Vandelay backing him and funding his expenses, after all, he balances the books.
    • Vandelay Staff - While they currently aren't here, Roquefort can still call upon them if needed, and mostly relies on the robotic workforce to fill niches he himself doesn't.
  • Source: Hi-Fi Rush
  • Origin Story: A leading economist once upon a time, a sudden downturn in his health with a nigh incurable disease left Roquefort on his deathbead. It was only thanks to the timely intervention of Vandelay Technologies and Kale himself that saved Roquefort, giving him a second chance a new career. Roquefort accepted his new position with zeal and has been serving Vandelay ever since, even when asked to leave the office and head to New York to scout potential new sites for Vandelay to set up he never once argued. Now in New York, Roquefort finds himself in a bit of trouble, as finding a new place to work is proving harder with all the insanity.

Yeah my muse for Dante kinda dried up. Instead, have a different HD Capcom beat-em-up protagonist from a game that didn't sell great.

Asura/God of Wrath

  • Names: God of Wrath
  • Real Name: Asura
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: Ageless (physically appears 28)
  • Species: Demigod (Disguised as human)
  • Appearance: In his human disguise, Asura appears as a muscular, tan-skinned human man with white hair (seen here punching Wyzen, both in human disguises). In his true form as a demigod, Asura’s skin is revealed to have a stone-like, metallic texture covered in various markings, barechested with a sash and pants covering his lower body.
  • Alignment: Chaotic Good
  • Generation: Ancient/Fourth Age
  • Personality: Despite his reputation as God of Wrath, Asura is a surprisingly agreeable man. He possesses deep compassion for those otherwise unable to protect themselves, believing that the strong should use that strength to protect the weak. That being said...his temper is infamous. Asura is not to be crossed, as his capacity for anger is seemingly unparalleled. Even in his angriest moments, however, Asura will not hurt an innocent and will do whatever he can to avoid collateral damage to civilians. Asura is deeply protective of his family, and endangering them is a guaranteed way to invoke his wrath. In a similar vein, Asura is a loyal person who will come to the aid of his allies even at great risk to himself. All in all, Asura's reputation for rage belies his true nature as a compassionate, understanding man and good friend to those who have earned his trust.
  • Powers & Abilities:
    • Super Strength
    • Superhuman Durability
    • Immortality: Asura and his fellow demigods are ageless and can theoretically live forever, untouched by the passage of time. Should Asura be killed in battle, even this is not guaranteed to keep him down. By focusing on his rage and unsettled scores, Asura can climb out of the afterlife and return to the realm of the living, though the time this takes is proportional to his power and rage at the time.
    • Flight: By manipulating the aura of Mantra around himself, Asura can propel himself through the air. However, he tends not to do this in favor of simply leaping great distances, preferring to save his reserves of Mantra for fighting.
    • Unlimited Mode: By concentrating mantra throughout his body, Asura can trigger a short burst of strength, signified by the markings across his body glowing a deep red. While in Unlimited Mode, Asura’s attacks hit even harder than his current form would normally allow and he can shrug off attacks that would normally at least slow him down. Asura can enter Unlimited Mode in any of his forms, save for Berserker and Wrath, as he is too mindless in those forms to properly trigger it. After Unlimited Mode ends, Asura cannot use it again for a short time.
    • Mantra Affinity - Wrath: Asura is capable of channeling a form of energy known as Mantra to increase his already-incredible power. Mantra can be channeled through humans’ prayers to Asura, as well as by Asura embracing his Mantra affinity of wrath. The more Asura’s fury intensifies, the more Mantra he can access.
Mantra Blasts: Demigods such as Asura can channel Mantra into energy blasts launched from their hands. Asura in particular has several variants, including rapid-fire volleys, lock-on shots and powerful, concentrated shockwaves.
  • Transformation:
    • Human Form: Asura spends his life in the modern age disguised as an ordinary human, making his living as a professional fighter. In human form, Asura retains his white hair and godly strength, but his metallic skin takes on a more normal human complexion.
    • Vajra Asura: The form Asura usually takes when fighting, his skin appears to be made of metal while gold gauntlets cover his arms up to the elbow. In this form, even without channeling Mantra at all, Asura is strong enough to effortlessly punch a human-sized adversary across a room or punch a hole through reinforced armor. Even physically larger opponents might find themselves surprised as Asura’s relatively-average human stature hides a level of strength comparable to their own.
    • Six-Armed Vajra Asura: A form Asura first took on with Mithra’s assistance, he has since attained it completely on his own. Four more golden arms erupt from the demigod’s back, totaling six. Despite appearances, Six-Armed Vajra Asura is not merely three times as strong as normal but rather exponentially so, allowing Asura to fight on par with opponents whose strength would ordinarily be insurmountable without the aid of larger weapons.
    • Berserker Asura: A transformation Asura cannot enter at will, but rather one that is triggered by Asura’s Wrath Mantra erupting out of control as a result of a sudden emotional upheaval. Asura’s appearance changes dramatically to a demonic visage as four massive arms made of pure Wrath Mantra sprout from his back. In this state, Asura is almost completely berserk and uncontrollable, blasting beams of Mantra from his body with reckless abandon. While Asura maintains enough wherewithal to avoid harming innocents, he is no longer capable of affording mercy to enemies who cross his path.
    • Wrath Asura: Another unwilling transformation, Asura takes on this form when he is sufficiently enraged to enter Berserker but lacks enough Mantra to fully power the form. The demigod’s skin becomes charred like the remnants of a raging fire and his attacks, while still immensely powerful, do more damage to himself than they do his enemies. Due to his relative lack of Mantra, Asura is more open to reason in Wrath form than Berserker and can be talked down. He can also drop out of the form if knocked out, or if his supply of Mantra is somehow cut off.
    • Mantra Asura: Initially achieved through an infusion of Mantra from Mithra, Asura gains dozens if not hundreds of arms which then condense into a pair of massive gauntlets. Asura typically cannot simply utilize this transformation at will, requiring a massive surge of rage and Mantra to initiate it.
    • Asura, The Destructor: Asura’s most powerful, final state achieved only through use of the Mantra Reactor and an obscene amount of Mantra. Asura enters a six-armed form much like his previous Six-Armed Vajra state, but they are all the massive gauntlets of his Mantra form. Additionally, Asura can choose to enter this form in a massively enlarged state to combat threats to the entire planet. At this moment, Asura is unable to enter this form again due to the apparent dormancy of his Mantra Reactor.
  • Weapons and Equipment:
    • Mantra Reactor: A device designed by the Seven Deities to channel and store vast amounts of Mantra, each of them has one implanted in their chest. Asura did not, as he was killed before the Mantra Reactors were developed, however Yasha later took the Mantra Reactor from the Deities’ planet-sized Karma Fortress and implanted it into Asura. Technically speaking, this allows Asura to access all eight Mantra affinities and store unprecedented amounts, far surpassing the other demigods’ own capacity for Mantra. However, upon reincarnating, the demigods discovered that the vastly decreased concentration of Mantra in today’s world had rendered the reactors dormant. This, in turn, leaves the demigods substantially weaker than they were at the height of their power, though still capable of intervening in the event that the world’s mortals require their strength to survive.
  • Assets:
    • Mithra: Asura’s daughter and former Priestess of Shinkoku, Mithra has an unparalleled aptitude for channeling and amplifying Mantra. While Asura is hesitant to involve Mithra in conflict, not wanting his daughter to be a weapon of war, Mithra is still able to provide her father support if he needs it by granting him a much-needed powerup. In particular, Mithra was responsible for Asura first attaining his Six-Armed Vajra and Mantra forms, though he is now able to access them on his own. If needed, Mithra is also able to cut off the flow of Mantra to prevent someone or something from using it.
    • Yasha: Asura’s brother-in-law and one of the Eight Guardian Generals, Yasha and Asura have been rivals ever since training with their master, Augus. Whereas Asura’s usage of Mantra is primarily strength-based, Yasha prioritizes speed and focuses his strikes on ending enemies quickly through his use of Melancholy Mantra. He also has access to a personal flying vehicle called the “Lone Wolf” that he can use for quick transportation, and has been known to give Asura a lift when needed.
    • The Eight Guardian Generals: A legion of demigods Asura belonged to countless eons ago, they were disbanded when the others betrayed him and reformed into “The Seven Deities.” After the death of Chakravartin and the fading of Mantra from the world, the demigods eventually reincarnated in modern day as Mantra slowly returns. Upon reincarnation, the demigods saw the error of their ways, regrouped and decided to reform the Eight Guardian Generals to protect humanity from cataclysmic threats. Asura, at Yasha’s insistence reluctantly agreed to join, with the understanding that they not try to stop him from intervening if he so chooses…and that he’d simply kill them again if they tried to harm his family. As such, while the Eight Guardian Generals consider Asura among their number, they are in fact among the last people he would ever contact in the event he needed help. The demigods’ identities are not publicly known, simply being referred to as “demigods” or “The Eight Guardian Generals.’ Their numbers consist of:
      • Deus: Leader and wielder of Pride Mantra, the god of Pride takes on the guise of a human CEO. He was formerly considered the mightiest of the demigods and, after being felled by Asura and reincarnated, has realized the folly of his actions eons ago. While Deus was trying to save humanity, he has since recognized his zealotry in doing so and has resolved to not let himself fall into that darkness again.
      • Olga: User of Lust Mantra, Olga serves as Deus’s secretary in their human lives. Olga is a tactician for the Eight Guardian Generals, now choosing to assist Deus in a less…psychotically devoted fashion than she once did.
      • Kalrow: The Eight Guardian Generals’ lead strategist and user of Sloth Mantra, Kalrow’s aged human appearance serves as a workable disguise for an ancient demigod. Known for his cold, detached approach to strategy in the past, Kalrow’s death and rebirth have given him new perspective on the world and the demigods’ role in protecting humans.
      • Augus: Asura and Yasha’s master and wielder of Greed Mantra, Augus has become a drifter in the modern age. Aside from that…he really hasn’t changed much. He still lives as a bit of a hedonist, desiring good food, drink and fights, though he is also more than eager to share these experiences with others.
      • Sergei: A schemer by trade and user of Vanity Mantra, Sergei still retains his infuriating confidence of eons past. He’s just less…sadistic about it. In modern times, the God of Vanity moonlights as the famous pop star Sergei (no surname given), which suits him perfectly fine.
      • Wyzen: Wielder of Violence Mantra, Wyzen runs a restaurant in modern day. In times long past, Wyzen was known to be one of the more enthusiastic destroyers of Gohma among the demigods, even naming his signature attacks. In the modern world, Wyzen is still his old, boisterous self, but living as a human has given him perspective for the value of mortal life. That being said, he’ll still loudly announce his presence in battle as he dives in to punch a villain square in the face. Some things never change.
  • Source: Asura’s Wrath
  • Origin Story:
    • Countless eons ago, Earth (known as Gaia in this age) was at war. Impure beasts known as the Gohma rampaged across the world, killing indiscriminately and consuming human souls. The Gohma were spawned from a beast known as Vlitra, which resided within the planet’s core. To combat this threat, Emperor Strada of the Empire of Shinkoku gathered eight demigods to form his Eight Guardian Generals. Together, along with the aid of their Priestess Mithra and her ability to amplify the energy source known as “Mantra,” the Guardian Generals subdued Vlitra, but they awaited the beast’ inevitable return. Meanwhile, the Generals’ leader Deus concocted a plan to eliminate Vlitra and usher in a new age. Deus framed General Asura for the murder of Emperor Strada, kidnapping his daughter Mithra and murdering his wife. When Asura attempted to rescue his daughter, Deus murdered him as well by electrocuting his former ally before hurling him to Earth from orbit. Asura was no more, and the demigods began using Mithra to amplify the mantra they were now collecting from the souls of dead humans. 12,000 years later, Asura returned, having clawed himself back from the depths of the underworld. He waged a one-man war against the other demigods, now renamed the Seven Deities, killing Wyzen before being killed again by his brother in law Yasha. Asura takes another *500* years to climb out of the afterlife again, continuing his assault at the insistence of a mysterious golden spider…
    • Upon teaming up with a repentant Yasha and killing Deus, Asura felled Vlitra and believed that he had finally brought peace to the world…until the spider revealed its true nature. The Golden Spider was itself a god calling himself Chakravartin, the source of the very Mantra powering the demigods’ war and the creator of Vlitra and its Gohma hordes. The entire conflict had been a test to determine Chakravartin’s heir, and he had chosen Asura. Enraged at Chakravartin for orchestrating countless millennia of suffering, Asura took the god on to no avail. Yasha gave his own life to give Asura the strength necessary to challenge Chakravartin, destroying the manipulative deity once and for all. With the source of Mantra destroyed, the power began to fade, and Asura’s soul returned to the afterlife, his wrath finally quelled. Asura’s story was told by his daughter Mithra, and statues dedicated to the heroic demigod survive even this long after these events, 870 million years later…
    • In modern day, Mantra has begun to re-emerge. The deities of ages long since past have reincarnated into human identities, though retaining their demigod physiology. As their memories returned, the demigods steered clear of Asura until they believed he wouldn’t murder them on sight. Asura himself lives a peaceful life with his wife Durga and daughter Mithra, making a living as a professional fighter. While he prefers to stay anonymous, he has gained a reputation as a powerful warrior who intervenes to protect the innocent, earning him the popular moniker “God of Wrath.”

It's been about 3 months now since I posted my character sheet for Nimona, so I figure it's about time I got around to finally posting the sheet for a second character idea I've had brewing in my head for a while. A villain this time, though they may have a Heel–Face Turn eventually. Ladies and gentleman, I present...

  • Name: Mewtwo

  • Gender: Male

  • Age: Chronologically only a few years old, but in terms of mental development he's basically in his early 20s (even if he acts like an edgy teenager most of the time)

  • Appearance: "We dreamed of creating the strongest being in the world...and we succeeded."

  • Alignment: Anti-Villain (of the Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds variety)

  • Generation: Fourth Generation

  • Personality: Mewtwo is angry and spiteful towards humans for creating him as a weapon of war and trying to use him as a tool to achieve their own petty goals, considering all humans to be loathsome scum who must be eradicated at the most convenient opportunity. However, he’s still very capable of empathy, and is sympathetic towards all non-human beings, especially those who have been abused by humanity. His ultimate goal is to create a paradise where all non-humans can live in peace without humanity attempting to control or hurt them, but believes this is only possible by somehow eliminating every human that currently exists. He hasn’t quite figured out exactly how he wants to do that yet, but he has a few ideas. He knows it won’t be easy, and he knows he has to be careful if he wants to only wipe out humanity while keeping every other species intact, but he’s a clever planner who's not to be underestimated, and he’s determined to see this through, no matter what it takes…short of harming any non-humans, anyway. All in all, while he has a good heart deep down, it’s been buried in hatred and spite, and getting him off the warpath he’s on is going to be an uphill battle even at the best of times. But that’s no reason to give up trying.

  • Powers and Abilities: Mewtwo wields incredible psychic power, which he can channel in a variety of ways. These include:

    • Telekinesis: Mewtwo can lift objects and even people into the air and move them around using only his mind. It requires a great deal less effort to lift objects with this ability than it would take to do so physically, though it still exerts a toll on Mewtwo, requiring more effort the heavier the thing he’s trying to lift is. It also requires more focus the more things he attempts to lift at a time, limiting his ability to multitask and utilize his other skills.

    • Flight: Mewtwo can also use his telekinesis to levitate and fly through the air, an ability he utilizes frequently to quickly get around.

    • Telepathy: Mewtwo communicates primarily telepathically, psychically projecting messages into people’s heads which they perceive as being in their native language and typically spoken by a strong, commanding masculine voice.

    • Shadow Ball: One of Mewtwo’s most common forms of attack, he summons a shadowy orb of pure darkness and flings it at his opponent as a projectile. This attack can either be quickly spammed to attack with a barrage of small shadow balls, or charged up for a larger, more powerful shadow ball. Just how large and strong the ball can get depends on how long it's charged for, but focusing on charging it up leaves Mewtwo vulnerable to attack, so he usually can’t afford to charge it for very long.

    • Psystrike: Mewtwo can also blast his enemies with psychic force, doing large damage and knocking foes backwards. This attack’s range is significantly shorter than his Shadow Ball technique however, so he usually uses it only when enemies get close enough to risk harming him. When he’s particularly angry or surrounded on all sides, he can also unleash it as a powerful explosion of energy with him at its epicenter, though this takes more energy than is normally required to utilize the technique.

    • Barrier: Mewtwo is capable of manifesting a highly durable wall of psychic energy in front of him or a bubble-like shield around him (though the latter takes a bit more energy), which can be used to block attacks. It can endure a lot, but it requires a significant amount of concentration to maintain for more than a second or two, meaning if Mewtwo is faced with a relentless prolonged onslaught that requires the barrier to protect himself from, he must focus solely on maintaining the barrier and cannot move very much or utilize any attacks. In addition, while extremely strong, the barrier is not invincible, and can be shattered if it suffers enough damage, destroying it and staggering Mewtwo, leaving him open to attack.

    • Teleport: Mewtwo is able to teleport himself very quickly, but this ability is fairly short-range, and requires Mewtwo to be able to see the location he’s planning on teleporting to. He mainly uses it to dodge attacks and quickly escape if things are going badly for him.

    • Hyper Beam: Mewtwo’s ultimate move is to unleash a devastating beam of pure energy, doing massive amounts of damage to anything caught in its path. While this attack is undeniably incredibly powerful, it takes a MASSIVE amount of Mewtwo’s stamina, and once the move has concluded Mewtwo is tired out and must spend a significant amount of time recovering his energy. As a result, this attack is almost always used as a finisher or a desperation attack, and if it doesn’t succeed in finishing the fight Mewtwo is pretty much screwed, rendering it Awesome, but Impractical.

  • Weapons and Equipment:

    • Mewtwonite X: A small, glimmering stone with a special pattern that was given to Mewtwo as a good luck charm by a beloved friend a long time ago. As far as he knows, it has no special properties beyond looking pretty, but he keeps it around as a reminder of everything humanity has taken away from him. In actuality, the stone is what is known as a Mega Stone, a stone irradiated by the power of the Life Entity, a being of pure energy representing all life in the universe. When Mewtwo is filled with an intense, overpowering desire to protect others (a rare occasion considering how consumed by hatred he is), the stone’s energy will resonate with him and transform him into Mega Mewtwo X, a form where his physical strength is on par with his psychic abilities, allowing him to hit as hard as Earth’s mightiest heroes. He also has significantly more stamina in this state, allowing him to be much more reckless with his more draining attacks. However, he cannot maintain this state indefinitely, the transformation only lasting an hour or two at most even if he’s being very careful to conserve his energy, and as mentioned before, he has no idea whatsoever that he’s even capable of this transformation or how to trigger it.

  • Assets: Mewtwo’s lair is a moderately sized island hidden somewhere off the coast of New York, where he resides when he’s not out causing trouble. It’s very wild and overgrown and has almost no human architecture on it aside from the crumbling ruins of a few long abandoned buildings, and provides sanctuary to Mewtwo and anyone who he considers an ally.

  • Source: Pokémon

  • Origin Story:

    • Years ago, when they were still struggling to recover from a calamity of infinite proportions, The Institute began a highly classified project to create a living weapon designed for mutant eradication, which they dubbed Project M2. Using DNA believed to have been obtained from a cryptid known to the public as Mew, they artificially created a being with incredible psychic powers, which they named Mewtwo.

    • Mewtwo was also housed with four other genetically created beings, three other attempts at creating the ultimate lifeform, and one human child who was cloned by a single scientist without the knowledge of the others in an attempt to save his daughter. Mewtwo, while still in his infancy, psychically reached out to the other four lifeforms, communicating with them telepathically and forming a close bond with each, especially the human child. It was her that gave him the special stone he now cherishes today, for safekeeping and to bring him good luck.

    • However, this couldn’t last. Mewtwo was the only one of the five with a strong enough life force to survive in the harsh conditions that they had been placed in in the lab, and the other four tearfully said their goodbyes to Mewtwo as they perished. Furious at having the only people he’d ever loved taken away from him, Mewtwo blamed the Institute scientists for their deaths, developing a deep grudge.

    • Eventually, Mewtwo’s incredible psychic powers were enough to allow him to escape from where he was kept contained, and as he explored the rest of the lab, he quickly learned of the purpose of his creation. The knowledge that he was made by humanity to be a tool of prejudiced destruction pushed Mewtwo’s already boiling rage to its breaking point, and he destroyed the laboratory where it was created in a massive explosion.

    • After the smoke faded, and he ensured there were no scientists left alive, he began to explore the world, searching for a purpose in this strange land he was born into beyond what he was originally made for. It didn’t take long before he was reached out to by agents of an organization known as Team Rocket who were in opposition to The Institute, and after meeting Team Rocket’s leader Giovanni, Mewtwo was successfully convinced to aid the Team’s operations, wanting to fight evil and get revenge against The Institute for their sins.

    • Unfortunately for Giovanni, after enough time spent working for him, Mewtwo eventually discovered the truth. Team Rocket was not an underground vigilante organization like Mewtwo had previously believed, but a criminal syndicate that was only in opposition to The Institute because it had previously attempted to foil their villainous plans, and not out of any desire to stop them from persecuting mutants. They only wanted Mewtwo for their own personal gain, and didn’t give a damn about anyone else. Once again enraged, Mewtwo made a violent escape from Team Rocket, and swore vengeance against humanity, deciding all humans to be evil monsters incapable of compassion. He quickly made a new goal for himself to create a paradise for downtrodden non-humans in the only way he knew how: by destroying their oppressors. Every. Last. One of them.
  • Additional Notes: As alluded to earlier in this signup, I’m doing a bit of canon welding with DC lore, specifically that of the Lantern Corps, which I talked over with RtU2. Xerneas has been replaced with the Life Entity, and thus the Life Entity was used to power the Ultimate Weapon 3000 years ago and as a result brought about Mega Stones and Mega Evolution. Not the most relevant detail ever, but definitely still worth noting.

Something's Fishy Here...
Ore-O Unbroken Bond from Alrest (Troper Knight) Relationship Status: Drift compatible
#70: Jan 26th 2024 at 11:43:25 AM

I've had a passing interest in a superhero setting and given my renewed interest in a certain show, I'd want to see how these two can mesh together. So, without further ado:

  • Name: N (he couldn’t come up with some sort of snazzy super-hero name, at least not yet)
  • Real Name: Serial Designation "N-0X0010010"
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: Unknown, but is around late-teens to early 20’s
  • Appearance: “I love doing anything!”
  • Alignment: Neutral Good (although working with someone with less-than pure intentions)
  • Generation: Fourth Age
  • Personality: Despite him being labeled as a “Murder Drone”, N doesn’t have a mean bolt in his body. N has a chipper attitude that rarely falters even in the face of great adversity or horror. He only does his job out of a want to be useful and never once holds grudges against anyone. Even if he’s faced with opponents that are more than willing to kill him, he still is willing to forgive them, though this does come off as a bit naive and dimwitted as a result. However, he still does have a sense of self-preservation, so it’s not likely he’s going to allow himself to be killed. Originally, he wanted to kiss up to his superiors, but after a chance encounter with a certain Worker Drone, he started to have a spine and have opinions that went against the grain. He also serves as his friends’ moral compass but considering one’s an edgy and angsty teenager and the other being violent and psychotic, it’s kinda hard not being that. Also, he loves dogs!
  • Powers and Abilities:
    • Disassembly Drone: Essentially, he’s a robot vampire with him being able to sustain himself on oil and having a weakness to sunlight/high heat. The trade-off is that he’s much stronger than regular drones and people and has regeneration should he ever get damaged, though if enough of the body is destroyed, the regen won’t work. He has eyes on top of his head that allow him to see in all kinds of visions (thermal, infrared, ultraviolet, that sort of deal). His body is also very hot, akin to a hot stove. His powers are weakened in the sunlight or through high-enough heat. They’re also vulnerable to strong magnets and EMPs, acting as a sedative and leaving them unable to use their powers or knock them out respectively.
    • Corrosive Nanite Tail: His stinger tail can inject corrosive nanites to eat through inorganic with ease, but it can also melt organic stuff.
    • Healing Saliva: His saliva can neutralize the nanites and heal whatever’s melted by them (so long as it’s metal).
  • Weapons and Equipment:
    • Bladed Wings: Allows him to fly and also serve as a weapon to cut and slash at things.
    • Interchangeable Hands: His hands can turn into all sorts of weapons like claws, swords, guns, rockets, lasers, chainsaws, bubble blowers, and flags. Essentially, they’re swiss army knives but with hands!
    • Weapon Proficiency: Even without his arm weapons, he still has skill with using all kinds of weapons.
  • Assets:
    • Uzi Doorman: A Worker Drone that has the personality of an angsty teenage edgelord with a giant chip off her shoulder for humanity. Thinking that humanity should be wiped out, she sets forth to do so… only that she can’t really do it alone, especially with the supers around. She also has a little surprise inside her but that won’t be relevant for later. Also, she likes Anime.
    • V: A fellow Disassembly Drone that is much more energetic and into the killing than her partner. Although she would much rather kill humans (and sometimes Uzi), she realizes that she’s hosed as soon as she does so. Despite her murderous tendencies, she still cares about N, like an old friend (and sometimes Uzi, it’s complicated). Also, she knows more about her and N’s past than she lets on, obviously trying to hide it from them. She shares the same abilities and weaknesses as N.
  • Source: Murder Drones
  • Origin Story:
    • Before, N was just a simple, but defective drone, living with a young girl named Tessa, though this semi-idyllic life would soon be cut short when a friend of his, a certain drone named Cyn, had begun to act strange. But everything after that became a digital blur for N. Now, he finds himself on a snowy urban ruin with two other drones with a mission to kill Worker Drones.
    • In the distant exoplanet of Copper 9, all organic life had been wiped out and the planet was stuck on an endless winter. The Worker Drones that previously lived on the planet as well, workers (though some would say they’re slaves), began to pick up from where humanity left off. The drones would create societies in bunkers and shelters, with one being Uzi’s home, Outpost 3. Uzi Doorman, the daughter of the head of Worker Defence Force and door enthusiast Kahn, wanted to find a way to eliminate the Murder Drones butchering their kind, but after an argument and an excuse, she left the outpost and encountered one such Drone. After a tense fight, the Drone recovers from his injury and introduces himself as N. N, thinking Uzi is one of the Disassembly Drones, introduces her to their situation: namely the other two drones V and J, why they kill drones, and how they’re on the planet. After an escape, a reboot from N, and an action sequence of dead drones, a face turn, V being incapacitated, and J being blasted to hell, the unlikely duo emerged victorious. But as a result of her father not helping her when she needed the most, Uzi has banished herself and the trio left for whiter pastures.
    • That is, until they had to return after a string of disappearances from the Outpost, had to deal with some mechanical abomination, a reconciliation between daughter and father, a prom night gone wrong, and another drone with a similar affliction as Uzi dealt with, they decided to find some way off the planet. Thankfully, they spot a still functioning and conveniently empty ship that bore faded out sigil namely, that of a stylized H, the sigil of the company who made them. They used it to take off, their destination: Earth.
    • After a while, they crash-land off the coast of New York and find themselves deep within human territory. With some quick thinking, they came up with a story that their home planet was destroyed and that they’re staying here as refugees. When the human’s trust was bought, Uzi began to realize that wiping out humanity (as well as a certain side goal she has) would be far more complicated with all their defenders. It wasn’t until V came up with a devious plan: infiltrate the superhero society and tear them apart from within! Though, with both of their personalities clashing with the general superhero mold, they decided N would fit the best. And thus began the career of N, the most heroic murder machine ever to grace the skies of New York! Though unbeknownst to them, something else tagged along, something deep within the Worker Drone’s conscious.
  • Additional Notes:
    • I had to do a bit of Canon Welding to change the company of JC Jensen (in SPAAAAAAACE) to Hyperion. I like the pun, but it wouldn't fit for the setting.
    • Absolute Solver/Cyn is still inside Uzi, but for now, it's lying dormant and likely will be until after Season 1 of MD ends and I can find a good time to do so.

As of now, Kikko is being retired to NPC status (she will still be available for the Highrise scene with Red), and I am replacing her character slot with a new PC (pending signup approval):

  • Name: Gatchaman G-101
  • Real Name: Hajime Ichinose
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: 19
  • Appearance: "When you think about it that way, don't you feel like they had a valid reason? Don't you feel less angry?"
  • Alignment: Good/Heroine
  • Generation: Fourth
  • Personality: Hajime is an eccentric, mischievous, and overpoweringly cheerful young woman possessed of an inexorable will and unshakeable optimism. She cares very little for formalities, often addressing people she's just met with a familiarity that might be considered rude, and she gives not a single whit about appearances or labels. In resolving a conflict, she would much prefer to talk things over and see the other side's perspective than resort to violence. Her quirky demeanor and her general difficulty in articulating her thoughts through words might be mistaken by some for air-headedness or stupidity, but in truth, her bright personality obscures both a deep well of intellect and wisdom and the deliberate thought and planning behind many of her words and actions. She is also more than a little nutty about arts and crafts, and particularly notebooks.
  • Powers and Abilities:
    • Art: Although the quality of art is largely subjective, Hajime is highly creative and very well-versed in illustration, interior and exterior design, papercraft, fashion, and many other kinds of arts and crafts.
    • Book Learnin': Hajime has been well-educated by the Japanese public education system, and excels in all school subjects to the level of a recently-graduated high school senior who has taken advanced classes. She is fluent in both Japanese and English.
    • Cha(risma): Hajime's sheer enthusiasm and amicability plus her penchant for the bold and unexpected lend her a certain aura of personal magnetism that makes her both the heart of her Gatchaman team and their de facto leader and PR manager. She is also a popular public figure of global renown (or at least known to anybody who keeps up with major events happening in Japan).
    • Cooking: At least in terms of human food, Hajime is an excellent cook. Her methods of preparation may seem odd, and the product may look a little weird at first glance, but you can guarantee that it'll be delicious (to a humanoid palate).
    • Dex(terity): Hajime is very dexterous, quick, and surefooted, able to perform a wide variety of acrobatic stunts and accurately hit moving targets with both thrown and other ranged weapons, though she has no formal training in marksmanship. Her physical abilities are not superhuman, however, and her strength and endurance are merely average.
    • Wis(dom): Hajime has a very broad-minded way of seeing the world, and she is unusually observant for a human, noticing details and patterns that others might miss and easily able to pick up on the feelings and intentions of others.
  • Weapons and Equipment:
    • Backpack: Great for carrying things! Super-convenient! Amazing utility in the shape of a cute squiggly face! Full of high-quality arts and crafts materials! Wow!
    • NOTE of the Designer: A notebook bonded to the user's soul, used to don a suit of personality-tailored power armor called a G-Suit by striking a certain pose and uttering the phrase "Bird, go!" to trigger a brief transformation sequence. As a NOTE is bound to a person's soul, it's somewhat like a phylactery, and damaging the NOTE or the glowing weak point that it manifests as on the G-Suit can result in severe injury to the bonded, including coma or death in extreme cases. Members of Hajime's Gatchaman team can communicate with each other via writing or speaking into their NOTEs, can manifest their thoughts onto its pages, and can do all this simply by telepathy while transformed. NOTEs also have an optional function called the "Amnesia Effect" that, when toggled on, hides the user and any nearby superhuman phenomena from the perception of ordinary people, which includes electronic recording devices (However, all NOTE-users and superhumans, as well as those with a sufficiently strong sixth-sense, are immune to the Effect). This does not mean the wielder is a ghost, however, so impacts against objects and lifeforms will still be apparent, though not heard.

Aside from the above standard functions, the NOTE of the Designer allows Hajime to transmute any concentrated gathering of energy or consciousness she cuts with her Suit's scissors into a definite physical form of her choice, with functions of her choice, though it must be of a size proportionate to the energy transmuted. This does not apply to regular living things, but rather to "loose" energy external to one's body, such as someone's beam attack or a disembodied soul. She can summon and dismiss one pair of small, hand-held scissors for this or any other purpose at will without transforming. Transmuting very high volumes or concentrations of either type requires larger scissors, which she can only access while in her armor.
      • G-Suit: A suit of powered armor that Hajime can transform into using her NOTE. It offers plenty of protection, standing up to superhuman strength and the likes of small arms fire and small explosives with nary a scratch, but there is a sizable, glowing weak point on the back, between her shoulder-blades: her NOTE. If the NOTE is pierced or pulled out of the socket in which it is secured, Hajime will immediately be knocked out of her transformation and incur a grievous wound at approximately the spot where the NOTE is located, probably being knocked unconscious in the process.

While fully clad in her G-Suit, Hajime is enclosed in a sort of subspace soul-bubble from which she pilots the suit, which in turn means she is protected from toxins and environmental hazards while in the suit and can breathe indefinitely. However, blows to the suit while in the soul-bubble will be registered as corresponding pain and injuries on her body, though lesser injuries than the damage (for example, if her suit's arm were cut off, she would begin bleeding heavily from the arm, but her own arm would not be cleaved from her actual body). She can choose to remove any part of or the whole suit at will, in which case her whole body returns to real space until she re-dons the full armor. Her G-Suit also enables her to stand on or traverse ceilings, walls, and other such surfaces, features rocket-boosted roller-skates that can be instinctively brought down or retracted from the backs of her ankles, and the entire thing glows in the dark! So cool!

Lastly, her G-suit provides her with the following weapons and tools:
        • Balles Patsels: Fired from a launcher on the back of Hajime's left hand. Infinitely-replenished projectiles in every color of the rainbow that explode into harmless clouds of colored vapor on impact.
        • Blanc et Noir: Twin blades holstered in the boots of Hajime's armor that can combine into a giant pair of scissors. The scissors can also be used as a large sword when closed. Sharp enough to cut through steel.
        • Gran Ciseaux: A secondary pair of scissors formed when the Wings de l'Avenir detach from Hajime's armor and combine. The Grand Ciseaux is smaller than the Blanc et Noir and is used as a short sword when closed. Sharp enough to cut through steel.
        • Maste: Gigantic strips of colored tape that Hajime can whip outward from her right hand in limitless supply. Not painful unless you try to pull it off your bare skin too fast, but very sticky and adhesive. Useful for holding things in place.
        • Petits Ciseaux: An infinitely-replenishing supply of small blue scissors that have a bird head and a blue G logo on them, stored in compartments in the Wings de l'Avenir. Used as throwing daggers, and sharp enough to cut through or embed an inch or two into steel. Hajime can cause them to drop away from whatever they are embedded in by snapping her fingers. She is also able to summon and dismiss one pair at will while untransformed.
        • Wings de l'Avenir: A pair of retractable wings resembling swan heads that grant Hajime the power of flight.
    • NOTE of Schadenfreude: Berg Katze's NOTE, which Hajime sealed inside herself along with Katze. Although its full powers are inaccessible, she can allow Katze to take control of her body while in her G-suit, which allows him to use his NOTE's main power: by lip-locking with a target, he can transform Hajime "completely into that person", shape-shifting to their appearance, obtaining all of their abilities, perfectly mimicking their voice and mannerisms, and learning of all their insecurities and darkest feelings (these effects may be resisted by other PCs and entities of sufficient will). While so transformed, Hajime remains within the sub-space soul bubble as mentioned in the description of her G-suit, and all the limitations and benefits thereof still apply, but she cannot use any of her own NOTE's abilities. If de-transformed, any transformations and abilities conferred via the NOTE of Schadenfreude are not retained and must be re-obtained via Katze-piloted-Hajime kissing if they are to be used again.
  • Assets: Some amount of money from a part-time job, a full scholarship to NYU, and an apartment somewhere in NYC. She could also technically call upon the rest of her Gatchaman team in the case of a major emergency, but she's unlikely to due to the high concentration of other heroes in NYC and the fact that her team members are usually busy. In the event that they were asked to come, however, they'd be able to arrive quite fast, as one of them is capable of teleporting across the planet and would be able to open portals for the others.
    • Berg Katze: An unwilling alien prisoner in Hajime's mind/soul, Katze nonetheless likes her (not that he would ever admit it), and sometimes helps her by uitizing his vast knowledge of the cosmos to give her advice in the form of riddles. Other times he gives her "useful advice" like "LOLOLOLOLOL! Just kill these guys already, Hajime-tan! Why are you trying to take them alive?!" and "Wouldn't it be funny if you told this snot-nosed brat Santa doesn't exist? ROFLMAO!" Oftentimes he'll just harass her for attention or out of boredom or because he can't stand how much of a goodie two-shoes she is. When Hajime is in her G-Suit, the two of them can directly interact in the soul-bubble, and he can even briefly wrest control of her body from her if he really makes an effort, but it's clear that between the two of them, she's the one who metaphorically wears the pants, and she can punt him back into the depths of her mind if she feels like it. Lastly, when he speaks outside of the G-Suit, his voice is projected from Hajime's chest.
  • Source: Gatchaman Crowds
  • Origin Story: Once upon a time, there was a bright and sunny-natured girl at a Japanese high school, whose quirkiness made her a bit of a loner among her peers, though she got along exceedingly well with younger children and with adults. And so, taking her lunch to eat alone outside, she overheard a couple of boys talking: "Aliens I can believe, but Gatchaman? What? This is a panda, haha!"

"Gatchaman, huh?" she mused. "Sounds kinda cute!"

Then a super tall alien appeared, shoved his hand through her chest to withdraw a notebook, and said:

    "Wings, thy name is... Gatchaman!"

Subsequently, she met the rest of her Gatchaman team and visited their secret base, marveling at the exciting new experiences but always questioning things she thought were odd, especially the rules and the assumptions surrounding her new role as a superhero. Over time, she even evolved into the clear heart of her team and became their de facto leader, revealed the existence of Gatchamen to the public, started an official Gatchaman livestream called Gatchannel, and defeated the nefarious plots of an alien menace by the name of Berg Katze, sealing him within herself. Some time later, a naive alien by the name of Gelsadra arrived on Earth, and it was the Gatchamen's duty to be the welcoming committee and to protect him. Quite soon, Gelsadra endeared himself to the public, and even campaigned and won the seat of Prime Minister! Through his overwhelming public support and ability to absorb and reflect public opinion, he transformed Japanese society in many ways.

However, soon enough, the reason that even Berg Katze feared Gelsadra revealed itself: the latter involuntarily created creatures whom the public named "Kuus", after the "Kuu" sound they made. Kuus were intelligent and friendly... at first. Then Kuus began devouring people and created an oppressive atmosphere of fear throughout Japan. The Gatchamen fought them, but they seemed to be endless, one for every single person in Japan. Finally, after determining the Kuus' true nature, Hajime and her team enacted a desperate gamble of a plan that succeeded in neutralizing the Kuus, but left Hajime comatose for months. Finally, she emerged from her long sleep, refreshed, and greeted the tearful faces of her Gatchaman friends.

Following this, Hajime made up for lost time and graduated from her high school a bit late, then travelled overseas to NYC to major in Psychology at New York University. As her scholarship only covered tuition and basic needs, she got a part-time job in order to buy anything extra she might want, particularly arts and crafts supplies. And now, being the social butterfly that she is, she's active in creative efforts and volunteering throughout the city, and doing some occasional superheroing when the situation calls for it!
  • Misc. Notes: The GALAX social networking service exists by extension of Hajime's canon being incorporated. Created by the human Rui Ninomiya, it is administrated by a friendly, sapient AI named X created by Rui, with X handling all content moderation and so on as well as acting as a digital assistant to all users. The interface for GALAX is similar to the now-defunct Nintendo Miiverse - users have a small, chibi avatar and can customize their own personal room, which their friended users can visit, and there are also public and private chatrooms where users and their avatars can mingle. One of the main draws of GALAX is the ability of X to quickly connect users in real life - for example, connecting a lawyer with a nearby potential client who tells X they want to file a noise complaint against a neighbor, or alerting nearby on- or off-duty medical personnel about an emergency where someone has been injured and asking them to help.

IMPORTANT: if anyone wants more detail on the events of Hajime's origin story, let me know and I can DM the answers to your questions in private.

Very good. Shouldn't be a problem, considering Ballister's powers are paltry compared to Nimona, and what game-breaking possibilities he does have are manageable by GM fiat if need be
