A Korean zombie horror coming-of-age series directed by Lee Jae-kyoo and Kim Nam-su. The show was adapted from a 2009 webcomic of the same name by Joo Dong-geun.

On the same day exams begin for students at Hyosan High School, a zombie virus concocted by the school's biology teacher is unleashed with the campus being ground zero for the outbreak. Because most students had been forced to give their phones to staff at the start of the day, their ability to contact the outside world is limited. The remaining students must band together to survive, but unbeknownst to them the outbreak reaches the city very early on.

A second season is currently in development.

I am currently addicted to this. Train to Busnan, Squid Game, Million Yen Women. Korean dramas are fascinating.

My favorite thing is that the characters are badass Action Survivor's. You have never seen a high school student make a zombie work this hard. So many creative action sequences and camera angles. Despite the presence of school uniforms I haven't caught a single Panty Shot in the entire show. The romantic drama between the teenagers has Narm Charm. Multiple characters weave in and out of the plot. And of course, Anyone Can Die.

My favorite character flip flops between Su-Hyeok (this guy is a BAMF and loyal to the end), On-jo (her interactions with Cheong-san), Dae-su, Nam-ra, Ha-Ri, Mi-Jin.

The whole cast is likable in some capacity. Even Gwi-nam, piece of filth he is, and Na-yeon, the show does so much with the two of them and all the obvious moments where you'd off an antagonist like this are evaded to do something more interesting later.

The gore isn't too extreme but the show doesn't shy away from it either.

Nothing. Na-da. If you like zombie stories but want something a little more meaningful and Genre Savvy then this is the show for you. I have nothing bad to say except that the first episode has a lot of expected setup and it feels slow, but it ramps up quickly and all of that basic character setup creates interesting dynamics once shit hits the fan.
