Growing up, the idea of micronations was a big joy to a lot of people I knew. Like Petoria from Family Guy or the titular Terabithia from Bridge to Terabithia, there were a lot of people, including those I stayed with for a while in my childhood, who were passionate about the idea of going around saying their home or some small area of land was a nation that declared its independence. A while ago I got my own place and suddenly I began to feel it. I today understand the joy of a United Unrecognized Nations and wanted to know how many other micronationalists were here on TV Tropes.
