With a brief moment, the magical shook her rift in the fabric of reality and it snapped closed. Looking absolutely enthralled by the fight she just participated in (no matter how easily sorted) she turned to look at the business person apporaching the class.
"Ooh, we get to protect a nation, neat! Yeah I think that'll be cool and hero and fun!"
She wobbled her head side to side and then skipped off to seek out a classmate to talk to near the pink lady who was going to escort the group to some kind of barrack.
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.

Kiba took a moment to stretch as the fighting ended. Man, that was crazy. A sudden attack wasn't how he expected to introduce himself, but at least he showed what the armor could do. As if he was locking a door, the Key went back to the KibaRaiser and turned the other direction, making the armor disappear and revealing Tsurugi again.
Looking at Hondo, he gave a fierce glare. Yeah, they weren't gonna get along... at all.
But for now, he looked at the others, getting a good look at the others. The mutant scientist weirded him out and that other magical girl... She hit all the wrong notes to him. Like all his senses yell at him to attack her or run away.
"Pretty interesting form, little lady" He noted. And looked at Mason, giving a shrug "Didn't know what to expect from another Henshin Hero, Brainy"

Felicity Shepherd
With all the students hustled and bustled in the auditorium together, it was easy even for Felicity to get lost in the shuffle - even moreso when a handful of small kaiju decided to pop into the room mid-speech in plain view of crime fighters both new and veteran. One particular upstart monster saw it fit to target their class specifically but nearly all of them sprang into action promptly demolished it under a barrage of acid, projectiles, flaming blades, and at least one giant hammer. With so much flying at it, Fluffy thought it prudent to spin her heel and help out the other classes with their struggles instead.
The battle was practically over before it began, piles of goop left behind where the invaders were seconds ago, so Fluffy hopped back over to Class 1 just in time for the various spiels from Red, Pink, and Sunglasses-Indoors. Lots to process, lots to process... Felicity wished she had brought a notebook, she didn't think she'd have this much trouble keeping track of all these new faces and things.
"Oh, that was an actual attack? Not a holographic combat simulator to test our mettle? Well, maybe whoever sent them was testing us anyway, seeing as the enemies were so weak, they got splatted faster than eggs in a bull shop," Felicity mused, unclear whether she knew she was speaking out loud. "Oh well, all's well that ends well - or close enough. De-stressing at the dorms sounds perfect, thanks Pink-san, Hondo-san!"
With the auditorium now thinning out, Felicity looked over her classmates, turning over in her head who she wanted to interact with now that things had settled. Let's see, there's her and there's her and there's him and there's her and there's him and then him and then her- No, no, one at a time, one at a time...
Felicity decided to start with someone she already talked to, folding her hands behind herself and leaning forward to look up at Dinah. "Well, there was the action you wanted! I figured sooooooooomething like this would happen - it can't be a first day at superhero school without some excitement. It's, like, a cosmic rule or something. It's almost a shame it was over so quickly..." Felicity coughed as she caught herself saying something troublesome. "Anyway, I forgot to introduce myself, I probably should've done that after you gave me a look like I was from outer space, sorry about that! Name's Felicity, Felicity Shepherd, superhero name Fluffy! Sheep theming because I fight like a storm cloud - I punch with lightning, ice, and wind - and, well, clouds and sheep are both fluffy right? Ehe~ Plus the serendipity of my last name~"
With Dinah's (and Kimiko's) votes of approval for Yui's costume, Felicity spun around to greet a certain magical girl. "Also you were great! 'Change Pink! Pretty cutie on!'" Felicity spun around in a near perfect facsimile of Yui's transformation sequence, complete with sparks for sparkles and mist for smoke, before striking a pose, smiling 100% in earnest. Which perhaps made it even more painful for the delinquent mahou shoujo. "'Pretty Pink Hellcrash!' When I first got a look at you, I definitely wouldn't have taken you for a Pretty Pink fan, isn't it great you get to go to the same school she teaches at? It's adorable how you named your signature move after her~ Now then, I'd say you've got plenty of Cuteness but if you need more Love I can help you with that later~"
Beat. "Hey, I've been to hell before! It wasn't that bad. I wonder how Mikey's doing..."

"...I like you," Dinah said bluntly to Fluffy, pretty sure she'd said those exact words in the exact same way moments before but not caring either way. "You've got marketable energy. Not that that's important. People'll remember you though, you make a real impression. I wonder if it's the uh..."
She squinted, looking Fluffy up and down before nonchalantly poking her stomach. She then backed off, stroking her chin thoughtfully as she shifted her weight to her other foot.
"It could also be the fluffy part. Crop-tops go a long way, though. I know from experience. Not because I didn't have enough material to finish my suit. That'd be super contrived, right?"
She paused, flicking her eyes between Fluffy and Yui before pointing at the latter.
"She might actually kill you by the way, so if that starts happening just scream and I'll put my neck between yours and her. You're welcome, by the way."

"Hey, I'd prefer to do this with the thing in one piece," Takuro said to Dinah. "But sometimes, you just have to work with what you got." With that, he clipped the container with his new sample onto his costume and with a tap to the back of his neck, instantly changed back into his street clothes. He then noticed Kimiko had dropped down near the Kaiju remains.
"So, think my powers would be able to keep up with your ninja skills?" he asked her.
Yui
Yui was ready to tear the others a new one. She meant what she said. She knew what she was supposed to be, but that only made her more pissed. She had already raised her staff when Dinah intervened.
"Oh..." She stammered, lost for words. "...o-of course it is! This shit's my ass kicking outfit, glamgams! Just wish it wasn't so stupid..."
She was starting to calm down. She wasn't thrilled about her situation, but they had a point. She shouldn't have been so hard on slugface. Little aashole was doing his job. Maybe she should start doing hers.
She was about to offer an apology when Fluffy opened her big mouth.
She was speechless. She didn't know whether to be embarrassed, flattered or pissed. She opened her mouth, but not a single intelligeble word She grumbled and mumbled, blushing red as a beet, nearly breaking her stick in two.
Purupuru attempted to intervene. She gave Kimiko a quick nuzzle before jumping off, inching closer to Yui's feet.
"My apologies, Mistress Yui, but you appear to be filled with unprecedented levels of aggression. It is not in the interests of your career or your health to let such negative emotions fester. Might I would indulging in certain stress-relieving activities? According to my calculations, Miss Fluffy's proposal would be an adequate solution—"
That was the last straw. She screamed at the top of her lungs, lunging for Fluffy's throat. Somewhere in the back of her head, she knew this was wrong, but she could ask for forgiveness later.

Ba Ke Nook
The tanuki saw the scene unfold. He didn't entirely know these people, but Yui's sudden aggression towards Fluffy unnerved him. Weren't we all supposed to be on the same team? He didn't entirely "get" why some people needed to change into an elaborate outfit in order to use their powers, but he didn't raise this, instead, the Tanuki tried to grab Yui by the waist and stop her from choking Felicity.
"Please stop, um, you!"

"I'm FULFILLING my PROMISE!" Dinah exclaimed as she threw herself between Fluffy and Yui, doing exactly as she said she would and putting her neck in prime grabbing position. The tanuki-boy thankfully intervened, so Dinah promptly toppled over when she misjudged how fast Yui was actually coming—but her momentum abruptly halted mid-fall as she nonchalantly straightened back up again as if ignoring the laws of physics entirely.
"None of you saw that," she said quickly, trying to play it off cool as she leant forward and flicked Yui's nose with her index finger. "Temper. Tantrum. Yeesh, girl. If that's how you take a damn compliment I'd hate to see what an insult is to you. Cool it, or I'll put you through the ceiling. Capiche?"
That was a promise, judging by her firm tone. She was already on the verge of hovering, so she was prepared to follow it up. Dinah didn't look particularly angry though, more stern than anything, so at least she was sensible enough not to do anything reckless under a clouded mind unlike her contender. Though if she was still willing to do what she said while in a sober mood it was still rather concerning overall.

Felicity Shepherd - The Merits of Marketing
"Well if you wanna win over the public, marketing and PR are very important for keeping that positive first impression!" Felicity remarked with a grin, before giggling at Dinah's tummy touch, giving her a playful wink. "Better to be adored than feared~"
Felicity was this close to returning the belly poke when Yui suddenly rushed her screaming like a banshee. Thankfully the tanuki and her new friend Dinah interfered before her neck was actually on the line. Well there was every possibility Yui would break out of Nook's grip and get around Dinah (or try), so Felicity thought she should neutralize her momentum, just in case.
"Pocket fluff!" Felicity tossed a small capsule at Yui (and by extension, Nook) which on contact with a surface would explode into a sudden mass of fluff, either encompassing the magical girl and yokai in a big ball of fuzz or creating a floofy pillow in front of her with which to crash into. Either way it would calm things down... she hoped.
Poking her head from behind Dinah, Felicity clasped her hands together in apology. "Sorry, I said too much! I don't mean to tease-" Felicity paused when she realized no she definitely did. "Scratch that- I didn't mean to piss you off. You were genuinely awesome there and I wish I did more to help. Since we're stuck together - on the same team and in the same barracks - let's try to get along, okay?"
Yui
She was moments away from foaming at the mouth. Even with the Tanuki restraining her, even with Dyna threatening to knock her into next Tuesday, she wasn't any less livid. If they kept this up, they'd be next on her hit list.
She was ready to kick Nook in the balls when Fluffy made her next move. She was covered in fluff, almost like a big ball of cotton. She wobbled back and forth, gnawing at the ball of fluff, desperate to break free. But it was no good. If she wasn't so pissed, maybe she could bust loose, but there was no escape. She started to calm down, but there wasn't much else she could do.
It was only with Fluffy's apology that she listened. She wasn't happy, but she wasn't about to strangle her. "Pssh. Whatever." She made another attempt to break free. She rolled closer to Fluffy, grumbling and cursing, but she wasn't going anywhere. Pururu approached the big fall of fluff, giving it a good sniff. It wanted to help, but there wasn't much they could do.
"Mistress Yui. I do not wish to overstep my bounds, but I believe it would be in your best interests to make a formal apology. Miss Fluffy may not be a Magical Girl, but she could be most helpful in raising your L/C to maximum capacity. I understand if such an arrangement makes you uncomfortable, but you will not be able to operate at peak efficiency in your current state."
"Fine! I'm sorry, okay?! All this schmaltzy bullshit makes me feel uncomfortable..."
She should have left it there, but she couldn't help but blush. "...but it ain't like I wasn't interested or anything..."
Ba Ke Nook
Ba Ke was dazed by the sudden fluff, which he was now covered in.
"Quite... soft..."
The tanuki quickly returned to his senses, and turned the fluff that was surrounding him into a leaf to get free.
"This may be great for my bedding when we get to the dorms."

"...Okay! So Fluffy's in charge of our bedding now. I agree with Nook," Dinah stated with a clap of her hands, witnessing the entire... process with a look of morbid intrigue. "Now we're all even, perfect. That pocket fluff stuff is pretty cool. Looks useful. Imagine being a gunman and the next thing you know your rifle's clogged with cotton and all you can do is roll around like a beachball Sheesh."
She yawned widely, stretching a little before nonchalantly lifting her feet off of the ground and crossing her legs beneath her in midair. She didn't come down, hovering as if it were entirely normal and very slowly rotating sideways like a particularly lazy planetoid.
"I'm curious now how we'd be up against each other. Then again, I don't bet, so I don't wanna say. I know that that..." Dinah said, pointing to the fluff encasing Yui before she casually ripped it off with one hand; it somehow all being removed in one giant piece as if it were a solid object instead of packed cotton. "...doesn't mean too much to me. I don't think anything anyone's shown so far would do much either, but I know you guys are hiding things. So I'm... interested."
She shrugged.
"I also don't know what I can do. Not everything, anyway. So this'll be... this'll be a fun school, I think."

She was going to intervene when Yui suddenly lunged, but Dinah beat her to it. Kimiko settled for stepping closer to Fluffy in case the fluff grenade wasn't enough, but the situation seemed to settle as quickly as it sparked.
"You're pretty strong, supergirl." Kimiko remarked, eying Dinah after her displays of speed and strength. "But I'm guessing you're not as practiced in hand-to-hand. Then again, I've been training since I was old enough to walk, so I'm probably not the best barometer for that sort of thing."
She shrugged, putting her arms behind her head in a stretch. This had the side effect of pushing her exposed stomach out slightly, ripe for the petting if anyone was brave enough. A faint gleam in her eye suggested she was doing it on purpose.
"Anyway, Yui, if you like fuzzy girls, I can always help in the 'love' department too. Just sayin'."
What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?
Rachel - Auditorium
When all was said and done, what remained of the kaiju was a bloody green paste on the floor, and the Escarlata came to a halt, Rachel looking around at her sensors and camera feeds for any more enemies that might try their luck. With the attack over, she mounted the rifle on the back of the mech, the cockpit hatch popping open.
And then there was somebody asking her something about if she was in the military.
Tch, good one Rachel. Should've seen this coming. And if he knows what this mech is, then he's probably from the colonies too.
She poked her head out of the cockpit, staring him down through the glass of her visor.
"No, I'm not with any military. My parents found this thing in a scrapyard and refurbished it. We were going to sell it for scrap, but then I figured I could put it to better use fighting off kaiju on Earth. Would probably pay better in the long run."
That story would have to do. It sounded believable, or so she thought. And the best way to avoid any more prying was to change the topic. Make a scene. She pulled off the helmet, letting her golden locks tumble out in a mess of helmet hair, a look of distaste on her face, marching in front of everyone else in the class to confront Honda, raising her voice for all to hear.
"What was that? How could you let something like that happen on not just the first day, but the actual welcoming ceremony?! Do they not take precautions against incursions here? Not all of us are capable of doing things against kaiju on foot!"
Right, that served it's purpose. Distract any attention away from the fact she was piloting a Khazum, and hopefully establishing herself as someone strong and confident.
Yui
Yui scoffed, turning up her nose at the offer. "As if, fuzzface..." Getting freed from that ball of fluff made her relieved, but she was still stuck in that ridiculous outfit. Maybe it wasn't so bad, but she was getting way too much attention.
But she couldn't resist. She was about to storm off, but she caught Kimiko's tummy out of the corner of her eye. It was so soft and fuzzy and cute! Before she knew it, she was reaching towards it, caught in a hypotonic trance. She brushed the tips of her fur with her hands, a hair's breath away from full contact.
Kawaii...
Her staff began to glow. The orb shimmered pink, twinkling with a splash of sparkles. Purupuru was taking notes, nodding in approval.
Auditoreum
Hondo didn't budge. He pushed up his glasses, barely giving Rachel the time of day. He spoke with cold detachment, though his words were chosen catefully.
"My apologies. This dreadful assault seems to have frayed your nerves. I would suggest going ahead to the dorms and getting some much needed rest. Lest both of us say things we may regret. I trust we understand each other?"
He glanced at Rachel, his steely gaze staring into her soul. Beneath his gracious platitudes, there was the vaguest hint of a threat. What he was threatening her with was hard to say, but Rachel knew all too well.

Hiroto looks up at the Khazum for a second. "Refurbished, huh?" was his only thought before she took off her helmet and went to confront Hondo about the apparent lack of security.
He walks up beside Tress while Hondo gives his obvious non-answer. "He's got a point. Come on, let's go."
It sounded like to Hiroto that Tress was implying there was a deliberate leak in security. Not to mention Tress had the nerve to mouth off to the head of the Kosmos Conglomerate. Was she actually looking for trouble?
"We can worry about that later. Staff have already got their hands full as it is."
Spelunking through a Halo Ring is something else...

Hyotoshi - Ruins-I mean-Auditorium
Hyotoshi had long-since left his Transformed State. The monster wasn't much of a challenge. Then again, it was rather the equivalent of taking a chainsaw to a paper-cut. The Hyoto people had only fought one Kaiju during their long tenure and from what he'd heard of the stories, it was nowhere near this simple.
The emotional vibe of the room was mostly what he expected it to be: A mix of light green and tan. Slight anxiety, confusion. The only exceptions were the super-weird chick he'd felt earlier and that man again.
With a sigh, Hyo realized there wasn't anything else to do here. He begins walking up to the person yelling at the CEO-dude and taps her shoulder.
"Whining won't change what's done. Might as well chill out and worry about it later. Let it go, yeah?"
That CEO gave off the same vibes as his ex-queen. Rigid, unfeeling, disinterested. He was like raw coffee if it had legs and a face.
"Doctor, I did say look for the Spymaster. Or should I say Spy....Master?"
Barracks
Once the smoke was cleared, the students were ushered off to the barracks. It was exactly as they pictured it, several long buildings stacked next to each other in a row, each the same as the last. They were part of a larger complex, a training field on one end and a hanger on the other, but it wasn't exactly welcoming.
The class was led into the first building. It was a long open hall, rows of bunkbeds adorning each silver wall. It wasn't without modern conveniences. There were ports and plug-ins for electronics, hallways and walkways that led to other areas. There was everything from a rec room to a workout room to even a small lab. But apart from the changing rooms and restrooms, there weren't any doors. Everything was interconnected. There were no secrets here, even if that proved inconvenient.
"Here we are!" Pretty Pink twirled into the room, stopping as she neared the beds. "The best beds money can buy! Trust me, they're super comfy!" She giggled, patting one of the bunks like a pet.
"I know, it's not exactly homey. I tried to talk them into something more fancy, but I'm afraid it was out of my hands. But it's not too different from what you'll see on the field. There's not much sense in building spiffy bases with separate rooms if they'll all get crushed. None of you are soldiers, but they'll expect the same sort of discipline."
She took a deep breath, shaking her head. It was clear she didn't care for this sort of attitude, but there wasn't much she could do about it.
"But you don't need to worry about that stuff today! Relax, take a breather! Get yourself settled! If there's anything you want to know, don't be afraid to ask!"
Ba Ke Nook - Barracks
The Tanuki looked around, taking the Barracks all in. They were still mainly used to living in the woods back then, and haven't entirely gotten used to where humans lived yet. Ba Ke jumped on top of one of the beds, immediately lying down.
"Oh, you're not kidding, this is quite soft! I could definitely get used to this! So, all of us get this entire building?"
Rachel - Auditorium
"Tch...!" was all that Rachel could get out, sensing the veiled threat in Honda's words. Two of her other classmates told her to let it lie, Rachel shaking off Hyotoshi's tap on her shoulder, watching the CEO walk off. Inside, the smallest inkling of fury simmered, her face creasing into a frown. That man was not to be trusted, especially with how nonchalant he'd been about the attack.
"Is it whining to think that a place like this would do a better job against kaiju incursions? But fine, let's get going then. Assuming the barracks haven't been overrun either." She snorted, turning and heading towards the barracks via the Khazum.
Rachel - Barracks
As soon as Rachel had finished getting the Khazum sorted into the hangars, she had made her way to the barracks, seeping in thought as lightly as the suitcases she carried with her clothes and pilot suits. As soon as she entered the dorms, she sized it up, head drifting over it all.
Well, it's no bedroom at Zablane manor, but it'll do. I'll probably be too busy to be here most of the time anyways.
"Mine." She dumped her stuff on one of the beds near the hall's entrance, scowling as she sat down on it, taking off her sunglasses to leave it beside her and having a moment to breathe. Her fierce blue eyes dimmed a bit. She wasn't quite used to the gravity on Earth just yet, and it was weird and tiring to feel so...heavy.
"It's not easy living on Earth, is it...?"

A pleased chitter tumbled out of her throat as Yui pet her. She smiled teasingly at the magical girl.
"See, you're getting a handle on that cutie power already, Yui-chan." Kimiko all but giggled.
The moment was cut off by Pretty Pink ushering them towards the barracks. Which turned out to be military style, lines of bunkbeds and shared showers.
Kimiko swiftly claimed a top bunk, flipping herself onto it and plopping down to test the firmness of the mattress.
"Not the ritziest, but it'll do." She rolled over the side of the bed, catching her feet on the railing as she fell, and ended with her body upside-down dangling from her bunk, her hair falling down below her now inverted head.
Kimiko began a set of inverted sit-ups, lifting herself to a sitting position with impressive leg and core strength. "Shot in the dark," She said, clearly not winded in the slightest from the exercise, "But would there happen to be a hot spring nearby? Not that I mind showers, but I like a good soak from time to time."
And then she gave that familiar teasing grin, though this time it wasn't aimed at Yui specifically. "Great place for any budding yuri romance, too."
What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?

"I like your style, ratgal-" Dinah commented with a grin as she flew up onto the neighbouring top bunk to Kimiko, promptly settling into a lounging position with her hands pillowed beneath her head. "Not bad! Haven't seen worse, but it could be worse. I've tried sleeping in the air before. Doesn't work when I sleep, turns out. Broke my football trophy. Maybe shouldn't have tried it while flying over my display case, but whatever."
She suddenly perked up, flying out of the room with an accompanying nyooooom before flying back in just as quickly; a large travel case in hand.
"Told 'em to leave that outside! Whoops! My bad. I'll just... shove that... uh..."
She paused, smacking the bag against a wall and holding it in place with her pointer finger. It rigidly stayed in place, but as soon as she let go of it the bag dropped—prompting her to have to quickly catch it with her foot (again seeming to halt it despite her not actually gripping it) and resigning herself to simply tucking it under the lower bunk instead.
"Eh, at least there's SOME storage. So who wants to be my under-buddy? THAT sounds really uncomfortable actually so I'm never saying that again," she realised, letting out a disturbed 'brrr' as she thought about it more. "No but seriously who wants to take the other bunk? I don't mind so long as you don't snore too loud."

"I call top bunk!" Takuro shouted as he quickly climbed up to one of the unoccupied beds, leaving his bag on the floor next to it. He then pondered over his newest K-matter sample, still trying to come up with a name for the form it let him access. He glanced at Kimiko when he noticed the movement from her exercise, but tried to avoid staring. Evidently, she had her sights set on Yui.
"How does 'Poison Scalebear' sound as a form name?" he asked those in the room.

Tsurugi took a moment to see the room, whistling. At the very least, he won't get boxed in. The idea of him being a soldier would have made everyone back home laugh themselves sick, really. Looking at the others, he simply shrugged.
"Taking you up on that offer, Muscle Girl" He said to Dinah's offer, without giving it too much thought, pulling out one of his Keys, turning it once again.
"OKAMI" A silver, proud wolf came out this time, standing in front of Tsurugi, who kneeled to meet his partner eye to eye.
"We are gonna stay here for a while, Gin" He said, before their heads met for a second. The wolf let out a soft growl, but accepted the gesture.

She landed on the ground with practiced ease, her feet never touching the kaiju's remains as she moved. A testament to her awareness and training.
"I'd be pretty disappointed if this was the strongest enemy we ever encountered. Given how easily we beat the shit out of it." Kimiko mused, grinning cockily. She turned to Dinah with a glimmer of mirth in her eyes. "Don't worry about it. I think all of us attacking at once was overkill, anyway."
And then she glanced at Yui, who was very clearly embarrassed about her magical girl transformation. "You look fine, girlfriend." Her tail moved, swooping along the floor to scoop up the slug, lifting him gently to her own shoulder. He was genuinely kind of cute. "Don't worry about what others think. That's what rocking an outfit is all about."
Still smiling, Kimiko reached up to pet the slug. "And don't be too hard on the little guy. Sounds like he's just trying to be helpful."
