Got my 3 yo niece on this show. She loves dancing to the intro so a burst of 9 min episodes is good to burn energy before bedtime. It's fun to watch with her unlike a lot of other show aimed at kids. The plots and characters are endearing and Bandit is the best TV dad ever.

I haven't really heard of this show until Saberspark reviewed it. He gave it the highest praise, watching it as a comfort show even though he's a thirty-something adult without kids of his own.
I went down the Bluey rabbitdog hole and I'm obsessed with it. Currently midway season 2 and loving the eps here more.
I love all the fanart people are making
New theme music also a boxYeah I'm about midway through Season 2 myself. I'm tempted to buy the DVD set since I hear it has the episodes that aren't on Disney+. Anyone know if that's true?
If Disney and BBC are involved in distribution then I reckon they're the censored edition.
This series is like, "What if Yotsuba, but with dogs" and I'm all for that.
I never thought about that before, but yeah, it kinda is.
The key difference (besides the obvious ones) is probably that Bluey actually works in an animated medium.
Azuma plz change your mind and let us have an anime

I'm glad he's stood his ground,at least he's in a position to say 'No'
New theme music also a boxWhy are mum and dad doing mostly laundry when they don't wear clothes?
they wear to look nice occasionally
New theme music also a boxCuppy came out.
That is one really wide and spread-out "playing house", when I was a kid I could only do two rooms at most lmao
Latest episode apparently caused some controversy.
omg why?
edit:OK,its not actually that bad the episode is called ' Exercise' and it involves exercise and apparently that's..fatphobic?
yeah no

New theme music also a boxThat's a complete nontroversy.
its from manufactured outrage from twitter
New theme music also a boxIt's not even from twitter, but some australian variety news?
Hey, I've been bingeing this show and it's actually really great. Just finished the Barky Boats episode and very sneaky of them dedicating an episode of puberty without actually using that word, right?
I love this show.

It does that a lot, there's veiled references to all sort of things, even some genuinely heavy subjects (e.g. infertility and possibly even miscarriage), that never get openly talked about and treated seriously without changing the overall tone.
It's legitimately some very clever writing that goes into the show

"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel."OMG, I'm not at the part about the former but I still can't believe they were able to sneak the latter in. And that the creator revealed in a book that, yeah, Chili really did have a miscarriage.
Speaking into other areas of the writing, one thing I legit didn't expect from Bluey are the heartwarming time-skips. Like, when Bluey meets up with Jean-Luc again when they're teenagers or when it shows how Bingo and Lila stay friends even as they grow up.
Like, most if not all preschool shows hold off on canonical time-skips until the very last episode, but Bluey does it just to make the endings all the sweeter.
In even cooler news, the show is getting an art book!
Yeah. We're doing an Art of Bluey book, and I thought it might be [fun to do] a little chapter on all of the changes and the things that couldn't get through. So, the other day I wrote them all down and had a good laugh going through them all again.
This is actually a big deal because preschool shows don't usually get art books. Like, the last time that happened was MLP:FiM and that was literally 10 years ago.
The latest ep also features a timeskip so it's all really cool.
Also I heard this is it for the episodes? All that's left are shorts and the special. Shame about the lack of season 4.
yes a thread for this show
'An overenthusiastic and imaginative Blue Heeler puppy, Bluey, goes on adventures with her younger sister, Bingo, which unfolds in hilarious ways.
