Hi. So I normally don't follow this thread, mainly because Magnificent Bastard is a trope I don't fully understand. However, I found an entry that I think needs slight adjusting.

From Grand Theft Auto IV:

• Phil Bell is a prominent member of the Pegorino Family and one of its most skilled members, rising up through the ranks despite not sharing the Italian heritage of his peers and being one of the few people keeping the organization afloat. Bell initially has Niko carry out missions on behalf of the Pegorinos, even linking him up with a fixer to carry out assassinations, and personally assists him in stealing a shipment from Dimitri Rascalov. In the Deal Ending, Bell assists Niko in surviving a drug deal botched by Dimitri, escaping with him and netting a huge profit for his crime family. In both endings, Bell chooses to leave the criminal life behind, cutting his losses and wishing Niko well. Shrewd, competent, and genial, Bell is one of the few characters in the organization to not only avoid being arrested or killed, but also parts on good terms with the protagonist in a setting filled with backstabbing and betrayal.

So, the use of "member" twice in succession is already redundant. But the main issue is that Phil was never an official member of the family, as it's mentioned mutliple times that his Irish heritage means he can't become a made man, and so he's just an associate. Here's a slight tweak with this in mind.

"William Shakespeare is a famous English playwright who learns that his rivals, The Bottom Brothers, have used a Soothsayer to copy a play he would write in the future. Shakespeare would infiltrate the Bottom Brothers' acting troupe and encourage the brothers to continue making "Omelette", while convincing Nigel Bottom to give him Nigel's written work. After exposing the Bottom Brothers of using a Soothsayer to steal his work, Shakespeare will have their sentence reduce from execution to banishment to the Americas and Shakespeare would use Nigel's work to create the universally acclaimed Hamlet."

So this writeup isn't exactly accurate; Nigel isn't aware that Nick is trying to steal Shakespeare's work or that Nick hired a soothsayer. So I made a new writeup to fix this error.

William Shakespeare is a famous playwright with "a knack for stealing anything he can", as well as Nick Bottom's rival. After trying to steal the poetry of Nick's brother Nigel to pass it off as his own, he learns that Nick has soothsayer Thomas Nostradamus to see Shakespeare's next hit so he can steal it, and responds by joining Nick and Nigel's acting troupe with a disguise in order to steal it back. Tricking Nigel into giving him his work, Shakespeare reveals during Nick's production of Omelette: The Musical that Nick used a soothsayer to steal his next hit, and helps reduce Nick and Nigel's sentence from execution to banishment to America despite having nothing to gain from it. Shakespeare ends up using Nigel's work to create Hamlet, gaining more praise as a result.

On a related note, Jafar was merged back into Aladdin – Antagonists. Lean and Mean work for his name? I'd suggest Evil Sorceror or Evil Chancellor, but they're already potholed in his entry.

The Metal Gear character pages will be merged back. Do what you will, but here's what I'm proposing for Armstrong.

• The Big Bad Senator Steven Armstrong seeks to get elected US President using war as a business so he can end war as a business. Having manipulated the political system to give his company more power in his state of Colorado and getting elected, Armstrong forms the group Desperado Enforcement LLC to initiate more conflicts so he can raise his approval ratings. Armstrong decides to have the President assassinated in Pakistan to capitalize and start a war to restart the war economy to pull America from its economic slump. When Raiden interferes, Armstrong just works his involvement into his plans and decides the damage already done is enough for his plans. While defeated by Raiden, Armstrong reveals that he truly believes in creating a world of the strong surviving for the sake of freedom and happily acknowledges Raiden as his successor, telling him to carve his own path while letting nothing stand in his way.

Change that to:

Okay since I just gave my thougts on Bad Batch on CM proposal thread, here are two Star Wars MB’s that could use some updates. Asajj I don’t think does anything worth noting in her apperance in Bad Batch, but I feel her entry could be moved to general under Western Animation on Star Wars page.

• Cad Bane is one of the top Bounty Hunters of the galaxy following the death of Jango Fett. In one of his first appearances, Bane is hired by Darth Sidious to steal a holocron from the Jedi Temple. Bane succeeds in this goal using Cato Parasitti and Todo 360 as distractions. Needing a Jedi to unlock the holocron, Bane forces Anakin Skywalker to assist him by threatening his Padawan, Ahsoka. Later on, Bane flawlessly infiltrates the Galactic Senate to force Chancellor Palpatine to free Ziro the Hutt, and during a mission to recapture Ziro on behalf of the Hutt Council holds his own in a fight against Obi-Wan Kenobi and Quinlan Vos. Bane also displays a noble side when he saves Obi-Wan, disguised as "Rako Hardeen", from a rigged challenge in the Box, before proceeding to take over Dooku's mission to kidnap Chancellor Palpatine from the incompetent Moralo Eval. After rise of the Empire, Bane is hired by the Kaminoans to capture young clone Omega, before working for Empire by kidnaping Force-Sensitive children for it. Ruthless and methodical, Bane returns decades later to confront his former mentee Boba Fett on behalf of the Pyke cartel, coming close to killing Fett and dismantling his fledgling criminal empire in his quest to see once and for all who truly is the best.
• Asajj Ventress was a Dathomirian Nightsister who was enslaved. She eventually came into the care of a Jedi who trained her until his death. Seeking vengeance for the Order's perceived abandonment of him, Ventress would come to be an elite assassin for Count Dooku. When betrayed by Dooku, Ventress returned to her home of Dathomir, allying with Mother Talzin and plotting against Dooku, becoming cold yet not without heroic traits. When her people were massacred on Dooku's orders, she found work as a bounty hunter, allying with Boba Fett on a cargo mission. Upon learning the target they were transporting was a tyrant's forced bride, Ventress saved the girl and kept her share of the payment with quick thinking. As a freelancer, Ventress cleverly saved the life of Obi-Wan Kenobi from Maul and his brother Savage. On Coruscant, Ventress would ally with fugitive Jedi Ahsoka Tano, aiding her and pointing out her mistreatment to her master. Later in life, Ventress would ally and fall for the Jedi Quinlan Vos, training him in the Dark Side and saving him when he was captured, temporarily giving her life to save Quinlan and saving the Jedi Order from corruption.

Good with the Armstrong rewrite and the Star Wars additions.

For Big Boss, his name could be potholed with Fallen Hero, and World's Best Warrior to Snake's.

I've added Armstrong's rewrite to the YMMV, Drafts, and MG Sandbox, and added said Sandbox to the swap list. For Raiden, BB, and Solid, you can do as you wish.

Alright thinking on it I feel we should cut King Schultz . I've long come around to him being bastardly enough (killing a man in front of his son is cold no matter how bad that man is). And he is definitely charming. And he does have cunning. However he has a liking for overly complicated plans. While in another film I might forgive that its hinted and confirmed by Word of God that if he had just been upfront they wouldve gotten hildie no problem. Furthermore (and far more damning) when his whole scheme is exposed it's Candie stepping on his pride that causes him to snap and shoot him. I could forgive an overly complicated plan not working out but his pride getting himself killed and nearly leading Django to get castrated? Thats a huge black mark. This is also backed up by Word of God. Fundamentally with his pride that much of an issue, I think he can't really be seen as magnificent.

Normally I would say "Auf wiedersehen," but since what "auf wiedersehen" actually means is "'till I see you again", and since I never wish to see him on MB again, to him, sir, I say cut Schultz.
