Name: Chris Lightning A.K.A Supersonic 2

Age: 15

Appearance: A young boy in a full torso, arm and leg track-like suit. Light blue in almost the whole spandex track suit except the center of the torso which has a yellow mark. Has short, spiked blond hair and a white domino mask that's stylized like angel wings.

Personality: Originally a fun loving, sunny teenage sidekick that works with his fellow sidekick and twin sister Kathy Lightning or Supersonic 1. But she has not transferred to this reality and that has left him disappointed and impulsive. Still loves beating up "bad guys" everywhere he goes, eating food off the ground, jumping and running.

Skills and Abilities: *Has the ability to run, punch, jump and kick at Supersonic speed, also had limited control over lightning. Has the ability to merge with his twin sister Supersonic 1 to power up and become Supersonic 3 which is twice as powerful, but without her around he cannot do that.

Equipment: *A Lightning Coin, a weird piece of "bonus" tech that allows him to unleash a lightning explosion on any "screen" he is on which somehow only hurts "enemies".

  • Super suit, a suit that is somehow immune from his own and his siblings friction and electricity that he wears.

Home Series: Velocity-Supersonic Rescue A 1994 video game adaption of late 80s comic series Velocity. In that comic book college hoverboarding champion Max Lightning gets hit by a strange energy ray during a hoverboard race and gets super speed and lightning powers, vowing to fight crime in the near futuristic, (and vaguely cyberpunkish) Neu Tech city. In said comic series Max has a little sister named Kathy who soon becomes his sidekick after a fight with a magical villain.

Supersonic Rescue was a spinoff title released before the second official Velocity beat-em-up superhero game, when the series and it's videogames were starting to fall out of favor with the public. A major feature of the game system at the time was co-op and the story of the game has Velocity being kidnapped by evil space aliens. So this game invented a canon foreigner in Supersonic 2, the twin brother of Supersonic, as a distaff counterpart so the marketing team wouldn't have the stigma of this being a "girl game". Also adding a feature where a single player could summon their twin if they get a good enough score at the end of the last level and merge, to become twice as powerful as their other canon foreigner creation Supersonic 3!

Backstory: The backstory is rather thinly sketched as he was basically a pallet swap of the light-red Supersonic 1 featured in the comic book and first video game. But it was established that he grew up admiring his athletic older brother, followed him around whenever they could and were his biggest fans. Trying to become as athletic and skilled as he was. In one of his many secret adventures after he became Velocity the twins got captured by an evil sorcerer who brainwashed them and gave them the same superpowers as their older brother. After defeating the sorcerer they became his sidekick and have been kicking butt ever since! When times are especially tough, the twins merge into Supersonic 3 to double their power! Now that he has been forced into this world from his own very limited world, he will have no idea what to do.

Etc:

  • Has never existed in the canon of Velocity as a comic book series, may have existential issues if he ever realizes that.
  • The game makers did not write him very much, and just made him so that he is a distaff counterpart to Velocity's sidekick, a move considered in universe to be a poor addition, and while not the most hated character he is considered insignificant or "a decent powerup" or even just "if mom makes me let him play, make him be Supersonic 2"
  • Very much misses his twin sister and older brother while he is away from them in this world.
  • Due to origins as a beat-em-up co-op character, thinks hitting things it the solution to all of life's problems.

  • Name: Clara Sayre
  • Age: 25
  • Appearance:
    • She's a good old Flapper and thus dresses accordingly. She has her dark auburn hair bobbed into a Marcel Waves hairstyle, a deep blue dress that's mid-calf length with some fringe (not a lot; those are reserved for 1960s dresses trying to mimick flapper fashion), a fancy headband, a pearl necklace, a silver bracelet on her left arm and black t-strapped shoes.
    • She's 5'3" tall, white, has thin-lined eyebrows, greyish-blue eyes, and a cupid's bow.
  • Personality:
    • Clara is a rather sulty flapper, liking to flirt with anyone despite being married (albeit her husband isn't with her when she is brought to our world) and has a wry sense of humor. She is rather free spirited and charismatic, liking to do whatever she pleases.
    • She's also an alcoholic, often spending evenings drinking the living hell. When drunk, she's in an even more carefree mood, often speaks in a slurred speech and is slightly more likely to flirt more than usual. When she isn't able to drink in a while, she'll be easier to anger and getting alcohol becomes one of her main priorities.
    • Due to a traumatic childhood incident, she’s left an insomniac and thus struggles sleeping often. Not that she's too bothered by it, it means more opportunities for drinking which somehow helps her sleep.
    • However there's something within her, calling out to her to embrace what her husband often dismisses and limits. Perhaps this means that Clara's liveliness isn't what it seems and why she's going by her maiden name instead of her husband's...
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • It Girl's Charm: Clara also happens to be the designated Femme Fatale of the work she originates and is a flirter to begin with, so she has a mastery in charming others. She can charm anyone that can consent and is able to get information from them. It's not even weakened when she's really drunk.
    • Save Me the Waltz: Clara is a skilled dancer, being able to move swiftly and thus makes her decent at dodging things (can still get hit mind you, especially by super speedy things). She can also dance with others while fighting.
    • Hidden Creativity: Clara is also a writer, painter and actress. She's not bad at any of those things but they'd been hindered by her husband's insistence to not do any of them.
  • Equipment:
    • M1911 pistol: It's well, your run-a-mill pistol hidden in a secret pocket. While it technically has limited amno, it can reload itself with more amno within a hour or so. Must he a side effect from getting summoned by the Fictus Grimoire.
    • A flask: Also hidden in a secret pocket. It's for carrying alcohol to drink.
    • A pack of cigarettes: Hidden in same pocket as the flask. Clara also smokes.
  • Home Series: The Fallen Carraway, a 1946 detective noir novel that takes place in 1925. A millionaire named Jay Carraway was found drowned at his mansion's pool. However, the detective on the case, Hector Percole, figures out it's actually a murder and sets out to find whodunit. Clara and her husband, Henry Fitzroy, are some of the suspects and it's revealled Henry killed Carraway while Clara was unaware of it. Basically The Great Gatsby if it was an Agatha Christie mystery novel
  • Backstory:
    • Clara Sayre was born to a wealthy Alabamian lawyer and his wife in 1900. Clara's mother was sent to a mental institution when Clara was young due to an incident when the former woke up the latter and held a knife towards her neck. Said incident is why Clara's an insomniac and why her father exclusively had nannies and tutors to care for her.
    • When Clara was 17, she met Henry Fitzroy at a country club dance. They fallen in love and started dating. However, Clara refused to marry Henry, who happened to be poor, until he could find a way to finance her lifestyle. Henry scored it big with a novel he published, Other Side of Paradise, becoming a best seller and thus they married when she was 20 and moved to New York City. A year later, Clara gave birth to their only child, Henrietta.
    • The Fitzroys were influential within the NYC center, often partying and drinking where they end up good friends with Jay Carraway. Henry's job was to write and publish stories while Clara exemplified the local flappers and flirted with people. However, Clara wanted to write like her husband alongside painting, dancing and acting. Henry only begrudgingly paid for her ballet classes while dismissing her other talents, stating that they’re amateurish (especially the writing) and that they're only accepted by others because of his name.
    • In the next few years, their marriage became tense and shaky, as they often get into arguments and both were stunted in their creative endeavors as a result. It didn't help both had affairs. Shortly before the book's events begin, Clara auditioned for a film Carraway was directing (he wanted to give films a shot) and got the role as the film's female lead, a plucky shopkeeper girl who fell in love with a wealthy man and ends up in a love triangle with his friend. She acted behind Henry's back and the film eventually released, becoming a surprise hit.
    • Unsurprisingly, Henry learned of the news and become infuriated at both Clara and Carraway. After a screaming match with Clara and a ton of drinking, he went to confront Carraway about letting Clara act in his film. Carraway defended Clara, stating that she was a fine actress and it was too late to do anything regardless as the film was released. In a drunken heat of rage, Henry beat up Carraway and drowned him in the pool.
    • During the events of the book, Clara often flirted with Hector and got out some personal secrets from him. After Hector realizes what she has done, he orders her to flirt with every male suspect to see if she could get any damning info from them. It was naturally difficult with Henry but she managed to charm him into spilling the confession that he killed Carraway. This led to a breakout where Henry attempted to harm Clara and Hector. Clara grabbed for a pistol and aimed it at Henry. Hector was able to calm the situation down, get Henry arrested and the novel ended.
    • ...Then she gets summoned to the real world thanks to the Ficitus Grimoire. Completely different from the time period the book takes place in, Clara was very confused at first but she takes it all in stride. She'll flirt and seduce her way out after all.
  • Etc:
    • Clara's character archtype is a Flapper-Femme Fatale.
    • Clara Sayre was named after and inspired by two notable flappers, Clara Bow and Zelda Fitzgerald (her maiden name was Sayre). I confess to taking more from Zelda as I'm hyperfixated on her atm. Clara and Henry's marriage is basically a flanderized version of the Fitzgeralds' marriage with a crime twist (F. Scott didn't drown anyone lol)
    • Clara speaks with a Southern accent in a sultry voice. Her dialogue text will be blue.
    • Clara's preferred music is jazz and refuses to willingly listen to other genres.

  • Name: Sera
  • Age: 38
  • Appearance: A white-haired woman who looks too young to be in her late thirties, dressed in black. A pair of black metal gauntlets cover her hands and forearms.
  • Personality:
    • Sera is a confident, easygoing person. Little to nothing seeming to phase or surprise her. Sera prefers to enjoy comfortable silence over noise and music. She is also not one to back down from a challenge. Beyond that, however, things get... messy.
    • More than most characters, Sera is heavily influenced by fan theories and perceptions- to the extent that their perception of alternate versions of her has bled through. Should her Creator interact with her long enough, they would be able to see these changes immediately, as if Sera was some Frankenstein's Monster made up of other prominent characters from her home series. The way this manifests is quite complex, but for simplicity's sake, one can think of it as a few Archetypes of Sera that exist in her psyche:
      • Adventurer Sera loves to fight and have adventures; she's the sort of person who would run in the direction of the screaming. If there is a fight, she's there to take part in it. If there is a quest, she'll be the first to take it. If a Demon King is up and about, she'll drag her husband to its castle and slay it.
      • Loyal Sera cares for her friends and loved ones and nobody else. As far as she is concerned, there are two kinds of people: People close to her and people who can eat shit if it's convenient for the former and does not exist beyond that.
      • Saint Sera is a kind and generous person. Unrealistically so. She's such a nice person that the first thought out of most people's heads when dealing with her is, "she's trying to scam me/sell me something." Those with more naive outlooks would take this kindness for what it is, but any shred of worldliness would make Saint Sera's kindness come off as creepy.
      • Nihilist Sera is the part of her that accepts everything outside of her control as "it is what it is." Cold and cynical, Sera would never try to change the world, no matter how terrible it is. While her confidence is unchanged, she now sees all of humanity as 'worthless lumps of greed' and has interest in neither their continued survival nor their inevitable destruction.
    • Most of the time, Sera will fulfill all of the Archetypes at the same time. Should the Archetypes conflict with each other, one will win out depending on the current trend of her fans, where a YouTuber is in their readthrough of her home series right now, and which popular piece of fan work featuring her is updating this week. The Archetypes never conflict with Sera's core personality, but anything beyond that is a roulette spun by the whims of the fans.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Orichalcum-Rank Adventurer: As an Orichalcum-Ranked Adventurer, Sera's physical attributes are superhuman in every aspect. She's strong enough to leave craters wherever she strikes, durable enough to be thrown through several walls without flinching, and fast enough to cut spells and bullets out of the air.
    • Weapon Master: Sera is a master at wielding various weapons, from swords to lances to gauntlets to crossbows. Her skill is not supernatural, but her sheer versatility and physical might make her a formidable opponent.
  • Equipment:
    • Dimensional Storage Gauntlets: Sera's gauntlets aren't really there for protection. Instead, the gauntlets have an enchantment that allows them to stow anything Sera can lift into Dimensional Storage. Items in dimensional storage don't seem to decay and can be summoned to the wearer's hand at will.
      • Arsenal: Sera uses the gauntlets to store a wide variety of weapons that she can summon to her hand. The weapons stored in Sera's gauntlets are diverse, from scimitars to hammers to tridents to throwing knives. Sera is a master of every weapon she keeps in her arsenal. These weapons also sport enchantments to keep them sharp and make them durable enough to survive being wielded by an Orichalcum-Ranked Adventurer and some minor abilities like being able to set themselves on fire for brief periods.
      • Memento: Memento is a blade that mimics the powers of those it has defeated. It's the personal weapon of Sera's husband, Reynard, and it has been deposited into her Dimensional Storage due to her... unique circumstances. This version of Memento seems to have been taken from the end of Sera's home story, having the power of all those who fell in the Tower locked inside it. Memento is noted to be quite picky with its wielders, which in Sera's case means that whether or not it responds to her call is a complete coin flip. The more conviction Sera has, the more likely it is that Memento would heed her.
      • Oblivione: Oblivione is a scythe that negates any power it comes into contact with. It's the personal weapon of Sera's brother, Hubert, and it has been deposited into her Dimensional Storage due to her... unique circumstances. This version of Oblivione seems to have been taken from the end of Sera's home story, allowing it to cut through anything by destroying any substance its edge touches. Oblivione is not as picky with its wielders as Memento, but using it for prolonged periods tends to slowly erode the wielder's sanity.
    • Enchanted Clothing: It's briefly mentioned in the source material that the clothes high-Rank Adventurers wear are enchanted to survive the sort of forces they can dish out. A common example is an enchantment to negate air friction and compression so that the Adventurers wearing them can move faster than sound without accidentally setting themselves or their clothes on fire. It can be assumed that Sera's clothes can survive the sorts of things she can.
  • Home Series: Tales of Drea, a long-running Korean webcomic that's found a cult following in other countries. The world of Drea is a Bermuda Triangle-like interdimensional dumping ground for strange beings and phenomena. The world is almost constantly under threat, with things like apocalyptic threats and entire cities disappearing overnight happening regularly. Each Arc of the Tales comic follows a different group of characters as they are invariably drawn to the mysterious Tower, which appeared after the death of the Demon King Isengrim.
    • The overarching plot of the comic follows the tale of the Witch-Queen Seraphina, the ruler of the Tower, and her servant Reynard. The two seek to reclaim the Witch-Queen's Divinity, which had been scattered across the world and embedded in the souls of the people of Drea following her fall from the heavens. To do this, they draw people from across the world, promising them a single wish should they only pass an Ordeal given by the Witch-Queen with their lives as collateral.
    • Needless to say, no group that has entered the Tower had ever passed the Ordeals. A few of these 'guests' may find a way to escape, but they are inevitably drawn back to the Tower in time and die there so that the Witch-Queen can reclaim her Divinity.
    • As more and more guests fall to the Witch-Queen's Ordeals, Seraphina and Reynard's pasts are steadily revealed. The Witch-Queen Seraphina had fought against the other gods, an event which caused beings like the Demon King Isengrim and his minions to be released from their prisons and wreak havoc upon Drea. She was cast out of the heavens for her rebellion, and thus Seraphina seeks to reclaim her lost Divinity to ascend back up there and wreak bloody vengeance. Reynard was recruited by the Witch-Queen in the earliest days of the Tower. Although he claims to be a Bronze-Ranked Adventurer and to support her for his own reasons, Reynard holds skills, connections, and experience far beyond what a rookie Adventurer should have. The two steadily become close friends as the plot moves forward.
    • Reynard and Seraphina watch the stories of every guest drawn to the Tower as a sort of framing device for the story. This allows the readers to become familiar with the new group of characters introduced in each Arc before they inevitably journey to the Tower and are slain in their Ordeals. While most guests' stories are only vaguely connected, a recurring figure soon appeared in the former Orichalcum-Ranked Adventurer and fledgling Demon King Hubert, who had taken Isengrim's power and authority after his death. Hubert had been making moves to drive others into the Tower for his own reasons, even as he gathered more and more Demons under his banner for a sinister purpose.
    • The plot comes to a head when Demon King Hubert and his followers invade the Tower. The new Demon King reveals that he knows Reynard personally, as the Adventurer had married his sister and allowed her to die when the three of them fought against Isengrim. Reynard wasn't a Bronze-Ranked Adventurer but an Orichalcum-Rank like Hubert and his sister. Hubert's goal is to claim the Witch-Queen's Divinity for himself and use its power in order to enlighten everyone and turn them into Demons. That he also partially blames Seraphina for killing his sister and gets to kill her and ruin her plans as he does this is just a bonus.
    • The battle was long and hard, but in the end, Demon King Hubert and his forces were defeated by the Witch-Queen and Reynard, who was no longer holding back his abilities. With Hubert and his generals dead, Seraphina finally reclaimed enough of her lost Divinity to ascend. Seraphina genuinely thanked Reynard, her closest and most trusted friend, for she could not have done this without his help.
    • And in a move that everyone but Seraphina had seen coming from a mile away, Reynard immediately betrayed her right then and there.
    • Reynard reveals that after the death of his wife, he went on a rampage in order to avenge. Although the Demon king Isengrim had been slain by Reynard's hand, it was not enough. Reynard went off across the world, destroying any Cult or group he suspected had anything to do with Isengrim. Anyone that who tried to stop him met the same fate. Eventually, the path of death he carved led him to Seraphina, whose rebellion in heaven had allowed the Demon King to run rampant in Drea.
    • For months, Reynard acted as the Witch-Queen's servant, aiding her in reclaiming her Divinity and even killing Adventurers he once knew in order to grasp at vengeance and cast down Seraphina at the very last step of her plans. Growing close to Seraphina was never a part of the plan, but Reynard was too committed to his vengeance to back out now. Not when he was this close. Not when he's gone this far and sacrificed so much already.
    • The Tower shook under Reynard's fury. Memento allowed him to use the techniques of those he had slain, and now he had the power of two Demon Kings and countless Adventurers on his side. Still, when the dust settled, the Witch-Queen stood, wounded but victorious. And Reynard lay dead at her feet, the shard of Divinity within his soul merging with her own. Seraphina was finally free of the mortal realm. And all she had to do was slay her first and only friend. Reynard, the only person whose suffering she could feel as keenly as her own.
    • With Reynard's cooling body at her feet, Seraphina fully realized the weight of her actions. She could not bear that she had taken Reynard's life, and so she sought to undo what she had done. Seraphina broke her Divinity once more, chaining herself to the mortal world but allowing those killed within the Tower to wake in their homes and live again.
    • Reynard awoke in the Tower, with Seraphina watching over him. The two had a conversation about Seraphina's choice, with Reynard wondering why she would sacrifice her goals for someone who tried to kill her. Seraphina said that she hadn't given up on returning to the heavens and fighting the gods, she just decided she couldn't bear taking any more lives. If Reynard is any indication she'd just be trapped in a cycle of killing more and more people if she kept doing things the way she did. "Finding another path to ascend without reclaiming my scattered Divinity would be difficult, but maybe it'd be bearable with my friend by my side."
    • The story ends on a somewhat bittersweet note, with Reynard and Seraphina starting all over again and most people killed during the story living in Drea once more.
  • Backstory:
    • By the time Tales of Drea began, Sera was already dead. Her death shaped most of the story that followed, as it set the protagonist and the antagonist against each other and motivated them to do what they did.
    • Sera was the wife of Reynard and the sister of Hubert, who would become the protagonist and antagonist of the series, respectively. Sera was the heart of their group, but even she couldn't stop her husband and brother from bickering all the time. Reynard deeply loved his wife, enough that he went on a world-shaking rampage in order to find what had killed her, enough to kill his friends, even his newest and closest friend, for a chance to avenger what he had lost. Hubert also loved his sister, and though they don't always get along, there was no doubt that the siblings would die for each other. After Sera died, the part of her that popped out the most to Reynard and Hubert was her kindness, for reaching out to Reynard even when he was so caught up in his disgust of humanity, for taking care of Hubert when they were young, and for all the little things she did.
    • And that's it. That's everything there is to know about Sera from the canon of Tales of Drea.
    • Of course, a lack of canon information doesn't necessarily mean a lack of fans. Though only shown in a limited number of flashbacks, Sera's design was as striking as any other character in the series. It stuck with them, whether or not they prefered her dead to make way for the inevitable Seraphina/Reynard ship. So, as fans do, they imagined and told stories about Sera. The stories written about Sera were as varied as the fans themselves.
    • Some stories just depicted the days that Sera, Reynard, and Hubert spent together as they lived their daily lives. They told the tale of Sera the Saint, who loved and was loved in return.
    • Some stories told tales of the Adventures that Sera had, with Reynard and Hubert in tow. The world of Drea was vast and strange, and many wanted to see them overcome the obstacles this would throw at the Adventurers. These stories told the tale of Sera the Adventurer, who knew there was always more on the horizon.
    • Some stories told the tale of Sera's childhood, trying to survive alongside Hubert on the streets. The two orphans had no one but each other to rely on, and everyone they met seemed like nothing but lumps of greed trying to squeeze them for their blood. These stories told the tale of Sera the Nihilist, who saw humans as the lumps of greed they were.
    • Some stories stray a bit further, to those possibilities where it wasn't Sera who died against Isengrim but her husband or her brother. There, she would take up the fallen ones' weapons and walk the path that they would have walked. These stories told the tale of Sera the Loyal, who lived the life that she should've had if things were a little different.
    • For better or worse, Sera changed from a character from Tales of Drea into a product of the fans who loved her.

Name: Sarah Valentine, aka Number Five, preferred name and callsign Ace.

Age: Early-to-mid 20s.

Appearance: Pink anthropomorphic serval (art mine) with blue hair in a tomboyish undercut falling down over one eye, dressed in a purple flightsuit with armored boots and a bomber jacket overtop, emblazoned with the number 5 on the back and her squadron emblem as a patch on the right arm. The pupils of her blue eyes are rimmed with a distinctly artificial glow, indicating cybernetic augmentation even to the untrained eye. Stands at about 5'3.

Personality: Confident and headstrong with an acerbic wit. Brave and morally resolute but aggressive and impatient, as befitting a hotshot ace pilot who's never been shot down or lost a major fight, disregarding non-canon player-inflicted gameplay deaths—her series' story doesn't have much in the way of twists and turns, with her opponents thus far being straightforwardly unambiguous planet-conquering imperialists and terrorists, while she and her team are unstoppable action movie badasses who thwart them at every turn.

Skills and Abilities: Ace is not only an adept fighter pilot and soldier, but as part of the top-secret Super Dragon project she has received extensive cybernetic augmentation to both increase her tolerance to high G-forces and boost her effectiveness in ground combat.

  • Superhuman strength and speed: Being of comic book-y 'peak human' physique, Ace can lift upwards of 500 lbs. to a theoretical (dangerous) maximum of 1000, and sprint up to 60 mph, capable of sustaining this for around 2 minutes thanks to stamina and lung capacity on par with practiced free-divers.
  • Superhuman senses and reflexes: Heightened hearing, smell, and sight, the latter allowing her to see and navigate in near-total darkness but making her vulnerable to bright light, requiring her to wear her sunshades pretty much constantly (think Riddick), while her hearing is likewise sensitive and susceptible to sudden loud noises. Her reflexes are on a hair-trigger, allowing her to react with lightning speed to whatever her senses pick up.
  • Superhuman durability: As a video game protagonist, she may not be indestructible but she is a few notches more durable than a baseline human. Part of this is due to explicit augmentation, though her canon never gets into much detail about the particulars.
    • As a realistic side effect, though, some injuries may be more difficult to treat. It's implied, for instance, that her skeleton is reinforced—setting breaks whenever they do occur may thus prove difficult.
    • Can weather exposure to hard vacuum, taking longer to pass out from lack of air.
  • Generalized combat skill: She's an unerring crack shot with her blaster pistol and is formidable in hand-to-hand combat, wherein she forgoes formal martial arts and takes a two-fisted brawler's approach, using whatever weapon is available, improvised or otherwise.
  • Good at strategizing on the fly, if impatient and prone to taking an often excessively direct approach whenever she thinks she can get away with it—as far as she's concerned, the best way out is through.
  • Piloting skill: Preternaturally talented at operating any kind of flying vehicle, especially fighter craft, and isn't half-bad on wheels either.

Equipment:

  • Blade Buster: A plasma-based energy weapon that can switch modes between a blaster pistol and a lightsaber-like beam sword. Blaster mode is capable of melting divets in structural steel and punching clean through if it's thin enough, while the blade mode can cut through it.
    • Runs on a magazine-like battery with limited capacity, with every blaster shot draining it little by little, while blade mode drains it at a steady clip. Battery can be recharged, but must obviously be swapped out for a fresh one if she wishes to keep firing in the meantime.
      • A full charge lasts long enough for 30 shots, or 30 seconds of continuous blade use.
  • Sunshades: A pair of polarized sunshades she wears to protect her sensitive vision and reduce glare.
  • Flight suit: A form-fitting jumpsuit made of durable futuristic fibers and totally not spandex why do you ask. Stab and heat-resistant, comparable to kevlar.
  • Bomber jacket: Likewise, also insulates against the cold and includes pockets containing two spare blaster batteries.
  • Wrist communicator: A wrist-mounted device with a screen and keypad that allows her to communicate using a broad spectrum of frequencies and access wireless networks.
  • Boots: A pair of durable armored boots that can adhere magnetically to ferrous metallic surfaces.
    • Can also reverse polarity to push off of said surfaces, effectively a boosted jump.

Home Series: Super Dragon, a 90s arcade rail shooter produced by now-defunct Intertec Games for their Super CD System game console. Somewhat akin to Star Fox with core gameplay alternating between flight to take out enemy defenses and on-foot combat to infiltrate bases. Spinoff to the Ultraman knockoff arcade brawler Jet Vanguard, which featured an identical playable cast widely believed by fandom to be the same characters until a developer later confusingly asserted that they were merely physically identical grandparents.

Backstory: Young delinquent granddaughter of the mech pilot Ace, one of several pilots of the giant alien robot Jet Vanguard who defended the Earth from aggressive kaiju for many years, Sarah Valentine was chosen as a last resort for the top-secret Super Dragon program wherein she and a team of four other young people were subject to extensive physical augmentation and training that enabled them to pilot a set of bleeding edge space-and-atmospheric fighter craft, known as the Super Dragons, in defense of the galaxy against the V.E.N.O.M Empire and its profiteering leader Maximillian 'Max' Albrecht IV. Quickly adapting to her new role, she was given her grandmother's old nickname as a callsign and took leadership of the team as the most confident and fastest-thinking of the five.

Etc:

  • The real world would be strange and unfamiliar to her, but this would be tempered somewhat by having been to a myriad strange alien planets before. Her primary issue would be how comparatively primitive it is compared to her Earth.
  • Theme song. Or, at least, a very similar take on it that likely would have gotten Intertec sued into the ground if they were big enough to end up on any record label's radar and/or lasted long enough.
  • Super Dragon has something of a cult following to this day.
    • The games are somewhat rare secondhand, but the Super CD System has been emulated by its most dedicated fans (albeit jankily, for having ass-backwards and nigh-incomprehensible system architecture, this being one of many factors that led to its downfall), and its small library dumped to various ROM sites and reproduction carts.
    • Had a limited-run dubiously canon manga.
      • An OVA has been rumored to exist, though the only evidence is a handful of blurry stills posted to an imageboard around 2005.
    • Certain subsets of this fandom would greatly perturb Ace.
  • The head of Intertec, Takuya Furukawa, is a certifiably insane tyrant who became a recluse after the company folded and remains despised by his former employees to this day, few of whom are open to talking about their time with the company or any of the work they did. The few who do talk to fans are fandom celebrities and at least one has published a book about his experiences.
