This is so weird. I know of this movie but I thought I knew about it because it as already covered in the Kill Count. So imagine my surprise seeing it being the latest episode.
What are some of your favorite episodes? I'm gonna post some of mine up top to liven up the opening post.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).He probably mentioned it in his Tournament of Champions review.
My posts make considerably more sense read in the voice of John Ratzenberger.I liked his George Romero Zombie movie trilogy(Night, Dawn, and Day). Especially the behind the scenes stuff he mentions(Like how for the Dawn shooting they only were allowed to shoot during the off hours, or how they screwed up a explosion).
In fact I like a lot of the behind the scenes stuff he mentions in the kill counts.
"How can I bring joy when I now know we are bringing misery to thousands of innocent people?"Same here; I really like it when YouTubers talk about behind-the-scenes stuff. I liked his episode on Sleepaway Camp a lot because the included clips of cast member interviews were really interesting to see.
It's also rather nice to hear when filming a horror movie turned out to be a great time for the people involved.
My favorites tend to be the really obscure ones that I never heard of before. For example, this upcoming one, Wolf Creek, or that terrifying one from a few weeks back, Pontypool.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.I can only agree, I originally started watching him just for the kills, but now I'm absolutely in it for a bunch of neat making off info and to learn about some hidden gem horror movies.
James begins a re-count of the Chucky franchise with its first movie, Child's Play.
I actually don't have a lot of nostalgia for the first movie, though. I started with Bride, and then saw 2 and 3 later, so those are the three that really stick out to me. Still, these re-counts are always a lot of fun, so I enjoyed this.
James recently released a Kill Count for The Wolfman (2010). He definitely does a lot of delving into the behind-the-scenes stuff on the effects, and it's always nice seeing him appreciate the work put into a movie even if he himself didn't enjoy it all that much.
I quite like that James has never been tempted to go Caustic Critic and always treats films fairly even if he doesn't care for it.
"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel."Check out his reviews for the sequels to I Know What You Did Last Summer.
legit the most angry I have ever seen him
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).The few times he actually is a Caustic Critic, he's very funny.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.I’ve always liked how, while James clearly prefers practical effects to CGI, he still nerds out and goes well into loving detail and respect on how computer generated effects are made and all the work that goes into making them look the way they do. It’s refreshing given that most reviewers in his position would just stop the sentence at “CGI bad.”
I don’t watch a lot of horror movies and am finicky about most horror genres, but I love Kill Count as a means of reviewing the content and what’s great about them and their production. before I actually watch them.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. After finishing the Childs Play recounts (in spite of the copyright fuckery), James covers some new content with the first season of the Chucky tv series.
So this isn't quite a bump, because I do have something to say, but it is because it's nonsense. I'm currently in a place that has me reminded of a particular film that's a rather conspicuous omission from Janisse's oeuvre, I assume in part since there are so few kills. (The Golden Chainsaw would be a gimme, and it'd have to be a "no machete," since giving it to the other kill would be sacrilege.)
(Also, am I the only one who thinks it'd be a fun April Fool's gag to do a Kill Count on Poltergeist?)
My posts make considerably more sense read in the voice of John Ratzenberger.Okay, this one is a bump.
I only posted this because at 18:39 I forgot I'm not physically capable of laughing.

My posts make considerably more sense read in the voice of John Ratzenberger. Also, "two shoulder stabs wouldn't kill anyone?" Uh, pretty sure there are a lot of arteries up there, Zoren.
(Sorry, this probably should've been an edit, but too late now.)

My posts make considerably more sense read in the voice of John Ratzenberger.Anyone else looking forward to that movie called Pre-Game they're making? I loved that teaser.
Not even stars last forever.Reviving this thread because holy shit we got fucking Danganronpa on the Kill Count.
Branching out into different mediums then films sure is taking us to some unexpected places.
Also Chelsea's cosplay game is on point.
I've fallen out with the channel. Fun that they're doing video games now though. I saw a Mortal Kombat X thumbnail a while ago.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Yeah, they've decided to branch and try new things, since with the recent strikes, they want to be careful what they cover.
Oof. Makes sense.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Gotta respect that. I've been wanting them to do Jeepers Creepers for years, but Janice makes a very convincing argument on why he won't.
#IceBearForPresidentTo those curious as to why he won't cover Jeepers Creepers: its director, Victor Salva, is a kid diddler, and thus he won't cover any of his movies until he dies.
