Oh! Hello there! Welcome to Ragnarok Online! My name is Pix, and I'll be helping you create your brand new character for Ragnarok Online! But first, you're probably asking, what is Ragnarok?

Well! Ragnarok Online is a Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game - or MMORPG - That you help shape with your actions! A sprawling world lays out before you, laden with deserts, oceans, tundras, fields, and kingdoms! Built from the ground up by the players themselves! That's right! This world grows by, is supported by, and influenced by, the players themselves! Kingdoms rise and fall to player actions! Find ancient treasures long forgotten by old civilizations, and add to them, or claim them as their own! Make your mark on the world, and watch your legacy live on!

Now, first we're gonna need a

Name:

Self-explanatory! What do you want your character, or handle, to be called! It can be anything you can think of!

Next, we'll need a

Race/Appearance:

Ragnarok is home to several, countless Species, all at the creation of your fingertips! No longer do you need to play an Orc to be a warrior, or an Elf to be a ranger! In Ragnarok, anyone can be anything! With our character customization technology, you can be an orc, a robot, a dog-person, whatever you want! Don’t let your imagination be limited!

Once you have your character, we'll need

Stats:

When making your character in Ragnarok, you have 6 stats to focus on! As you level up, you’ll be able to increase them at your leisure, becoming more powerful, intelligent, and so on! Some items out there need more Strength to use, or some spells need more Intelligence to use! Here are the stats you’re going to focus on! When you create their character, you have 18 points to spend among the stats, with a soft limit, at this time, at 10!

Strength: Increase your damage! As you grow stronger, you'll be able to wield the mightiest weaponry!

Dexterity: Increase your movement speed, attack speed, and cooldown reduction on your abilities and skills!

Constitution: Measures your toughness! The more you have, the more damage you can shrug off!

Intelligence: Become smarter! The higher this stat is, the more spells you'll know, but you'll also be able to cast higher level, more powerful spells!

Charisma: A more social stat! The higher this is, the more persuasive to NPC's you'll be! Unlock special discounts, find hidden pathways, and even find secret missions!

Luck: Luck is how it sounds! The higher this stat is, the better chances you have of finding rare items! Not only that, but you have a chance of incoming a portion, or even the entirety, of damage aimed towards you!

And now, for my favorite part of the game, and the one that put us on the map! You're going to need to choose your

Class

Now, what makes Ragnarok so unique is the way it handles classes, namely, combining them! Why you could combine any amount of classes and become an absolute monster of a class! However, by choosing to combine classes, you may lock yourself out of the end game benefits a class may have! However, you could create your own end game magnificence with only a bit of effort! Will you be a Warrior, capable of cutting entire mountains with a flick of the wrist? Will you become a Spellblade, a Warrior/Wizard who can enhance his blade with the powers of the cosmos? Will You become a Thief, capable of sneaking through the darkness and stealing the riches from those undeserving? With enough time and patience, you can evolve into an assassin, and slay even the greatest monsters with a well-placed blow! The sky is the limit! Here are your class options!

Warrior: Master of weapons, this class can bring down the mightiest foes!

Wizard: Wield the mana of the cosmos, with destructive magic!

Thief: Sneak through the night, and steal what you desire!

Artificer: Create weapons, mechanized marvels, and other robotic friends!

Monk: Become one with the universe as you allow your Ki to flow through your body with devastating strikes!

Bard: Inspire people around you! Taunt the enemies, and become the jack of all trades!

Cleric: Keep your allies alive with the power of the holy words!

Paladin: Protect the weak and the downtrodden with mighty armor, unmatched defenses, and your pure determination!

Druid: Control nature around you! A beautiful mix of damage, and healing!

Ranger: Snipe from the back, and keep at a distance! Control animal companions to make your hunts easier!

Necromancer: Control legions of the undead! Bend the acts of life and death to your will!

(Authors Note: Literally, this is meant to give you true imaginative freedom. No two classes combined will be the same. Feel free to make any combination of classes, I assure you, however, YOU want to play will be unique to how YOU want to play it. Bard/Monk will be different from another Bard/Monk!)

Wonderful! Now that we got that out of the way, I think your character is just about ready! But, before we do that…I think I only have one more question. Why don’t you tell me about

Your history:

Your character is nice and all, but it's just another face of you! Why don't you tell me a bit about yourself? Hopes, dreams, family! We can get to know you a bit better, and help cater to your experience accordingly!

Well! I think that's everything! I hope you all have fun! And welcome, to the bright and wonderful world of RAGNAROK!!!!!!!

  • Name: Kyren Du'Bias

  • Race: Human, in game and out of it.

  • Appearance: Kyren Du'bias is a black haired, normal looking guy - plain and kind of chilly looking. He seems withdrawn going by how he conducts himself, his eyes are dark - the iris seeming larger and roughly the same hue of black as his hair. He seems pale and dresses in game in a red and blue mechanically constructed wizard's robe, the shoulder plates seeming to be constructed with various cables in mind. He carries a long staff with a trio of gears at the end, which function as one form of control for his primary offensive / defensive capability.

  • Stats:

  • Strength: 0

  • Dexterity: 3

  • Constitution: 5

  • Intelligence: 8

  • Charisma: 1

  • Luck: 1

  • Class: Wizard / Artificer
    • Mekna-Suit 04: His chief method of fighting and movement is the powerful Mekna-Suit 04, which is a 15 foot tall magitech monstrosity armed with numerous magitech weapons. It can channel his spells through it via either the various weapons in the suit, or through outright punches - which due to a quirk of design use INT rather than STR as one might assume. The damage calculations use both INT and CON as far as him taking damage.
    • Support Array: Once he has someone carrying a disc of his design, he can use this ability of his to enhance their abilities.
    • Frost Capture: A combination of spellwork and machines - he can deploy "freeze discs" that deploy ice magic, after a target is frozen he can then capture it.
    • Blaze Discs: Much like Frost Capture, except these discs contain Fire Magic, and utilize directionalized explosions.
    • Shock Spears: Fired magitech lances that emit a powerful thunder element shock after connecting. They fire in a straight line however, so the target must either be slow or distracted.

  • Your history: Kyren is a normal guy who has a mother, a father, two older brothers and two younger brothers who lived a completely normal if remarkably privileged upbringing with his family. He took an interest in the game due to a lack of things going on in his life, due to what he alleges is parental favoritism. He has ambitions to be the highest ranked player with the largest guild in Ragnarok, which may well lead into other things. He is deliberately evasive about any details about his life outside the game, and shares almost nothing of himself or what his life is like on the outside.

  • Name: VoR0N (often simplified to just ‘Voron’)
  • Race: Chirrupnote
  • Appearance: Voron's avatar is that of a young chirrup woman of a short and nimble stature, usually clad from head to toe in thievery gear and an accompanying hood that makes their face difficult to make out. What little can be spotted of the avatar's features include fair skin and braided raven black hair; likely inspiration from the player's username (or vice-versa). As a chirrup, Voron possesses black draconic scales arranged in two parallel dotted lines from the tip of her foot all the way up to her chest; curving up her legs and twisting around her body and up her back before finally joining together at her collarbone. This detail is typically hidden beneath her thieves’ attire, however, making her seem human to a casual observer.
  • Stats:
    • Strength: 5
    • Dexterity: 7
    • Constitution: 0
    • Intelligence: 0
    • Charisma: 1
    • Luck: 5
  • Class: Thief/Monk
    • Vocal Mimicry: Chirrups have highly flexible vocal folds beyond that of the more common human race, and as such they can imitate other voices and sounds that they hear with relative ease given enough practice. This allows Voron to deceive her enemies and distract those in her way, and even pacify guard animals to some extent.
    • Hidden Shadow: Voron’s stealth build allows her to be almost undetectable in the dark thanks to her near-silent movement, and her high DEX enables her to move swiftly and nimbly even while sneaking. Voron wears gear that give her the best stats for stealth and speed at the cost of health and defence, meaning that her build is difficult to detect and outmanoeuvre but quick to take down in only a couple of solid hits.
    • Backstab: Voron is able to use stealth takedowns thanks to her sneak-focused build, and successful sneak attacks add a 2x multiplier to initial damage dealt to any given opponent so long as she’s undetected. As a penalty, however, a failed backstab attempt will render her initial attack 2x less effective in terms of damage, meaning that if she gets detected at the last moment or fumbles the angle she’ll leave herself wide open for a counterattack. Voron uses backstabs at any opportunity she can, and has a personal goal to try and sneak attack every possible enemy type in Ragnarok.
    • Martial Arts: Although Voron is a stealth character, it is unreasonable to assume that stealth will be viable in any and all quests or areas of Ragnarok Online. As such, her player has taken the Monk class as a backup, and though her strength is relatively low it is useful enough for Voron to hold her own in a straight up battle. Plus, Voron’s high dexterity and attack speed gives her a high dodge rate and DPS, and if things start to go wrong she is quick enough to flee and hide from her opponents. Voron uses her ki through either barehanded strikes or kicks, but she can also use it to bolster her attacks using her knife if need be (albeit to a lesser extent).
  • History: Voron’s account is set to private, and her registered history is as such only revealed to those who she trusts in-game enough to permit viewing it. Voron describes themselves as living with their two siblings and single mother, using exclusively female pronouns while in-game but never confirming or denying if they are also female IRL. Their given reasons for their interest in Ragnarok is that of stress from events in their life, turning to gaming and television as a source of escape. They state themselves to be introverted and hesitant to trust others, hence their reluctance to open up to others so easily over the Internet, but they hope that their use of VR will help bolster their confidence enough to eventually talk with other people more comfortably in real life. Voron has never revealed their real name to anybody, and shows no intention of ever doing so.

  • Name: Zypher Heiron
  • Race: Aileon. Aileon are similar to Harpies, winged humanoid creatures that can soar through the air with ease. They live in the Airie, a mountainous region that's difficult for humans to traverse. Small villages and settlements are scattered throughout the region, built on craggy cliffs or in secluded caverns. Frequent storms and gusty winds make living in such places difficult, but the Aeilon have learned to endure.
  • Appearance: A picture perfect Aileon. Without their feathers, they stand at 5'0, but their bent legs make them look even shorter.
  • Stats:
    • Strength: 7
    • Dexterity: 7
    • Constitution: 0
    • Intelligence: 4
    • Charisma: 0
    • Luck: 0
  • Class: Monk/Ranger/Druid
    • Flight: As an Aileon, Zypher can fly through the air without the use of magic or technology. She has a built in compass and can make sharp turns on a dime, and her strength lets her push through storms or gales with little trouble.
    • Aileon Senses: As an Aileon, Zypher has the eyes of a hawk. She has keen eyesight and can clearly see her targets from several yards away. By tapping into her high DEX and harnessing her ki, she can expand her senses, seeing up to several kilometres and able to sense nearby targets without so much as turning her head.
    • Talon Fury: As both a monk and an Aileon, Zypher has considerable strength and skill. She can tear through enemies with her sharp talons and lean muscles, and her speed and high dexterity allow her to swiftly dodge and retaliate. With enough concentration, she can tap into her moderate INT and harness the power of wind, channelling it into her strikes and ripping her foes apart with tornadic fury.
    • Power of Nature: Zypher is a monk first and foremost, but she's a secondary ranger and has dabbled in druidry. Her mage raft is mediocre at best, but she has a connection to nature and the wind, and can expand her control with enough focus. By narrowing her focus and channeling moderate INT & DEX, she can summon bolts of wind and snipe her opponents from afar. She can flap her wings and create gusts of wind for crowd control, and even a small whirlwind in the right circumstances.
    • Bird Whisperer: As an Aileon ranger and druid, Zephyr can commune with birds or other avian wildlife. She can speak with them and ask for help or information. One bird on its own isn't very threatening, but she can call up a flock to swarm her foes and produce a chance of Blind in the proper circumstances.
    • Wind Barrier Can create a barrier of wind for defence. Doesn't take many hits, but it's useful in a pinch.
  • History: Zypher keeps her personal history close to the vest. She's stated she's a girl, both in and out of the game, but hasn't said much else. She used to live alone, but moved back in her with parents after a traumatic incident. Since then, she's used MMO's and virtual reality as a means to cope, but refuses to talk about it in detail. Underneath their abrasive exterior, there's a thin aura of bitterness and loss, but the truth remains ever elusive.

Name: Siora

Race: A very strange blend of human, dragon, and elf.

Appearance: Siora has thick chocolate brown hair that she keeps cut short, dark blue eyes, and pale skin. Two large, black dragon wings protrude from her back, and her ears end in points. She often wears a light brown cloak (with slits in the back for her wings), dark brown pants, and a white shirt. Never any shoes.

Stats:

  • Strength: 3
  • Dexterity: 3
  • Constitution: 1
  • Intelligence: 5
  • Charisma: 0
  • Luck: 2

Class: Wizard-Thief

Backstory: Siora was born to and dragon dad and a elven-human mom. She was raised in her mom’s small village, but was shunned because of her mixed blood. As a result, she spent most of her time quietly locked in her room, studying magic. When she was barely 12, a band of outlaws pillaged her village and left the girl homeless, but she picked herself up and kept moving forward, no goals or aspirations but to keep living.

  • Name: MarchHare
  • Race: Leporigant
  • Appearance: March's Avatar look mostly human except for the pair of large rabbit ears sticking out from the top of her head. She has deathly pale skin, hair as white as snow, and red eyes that seem to glow in the dark. If asked, March would say that she had wanted to make her Avatar a Vampire but since she couldn't deal with the mandatory drawbacks, she just recolored a different race instead. March's Avatar also has a cosmetic overlay for her equipment, making her look like she's wearing a formal suit and tie at all times no matter what she actually has equipped. March always carries around a gold pocket watch to serve as her Divine casting focus and mostly uses her voice for Barding casting.
  • Stats:
    • Strength: 1
    • Dexterity: 10
    • Constitution: 1
    • Intelligence: 4
    • Charisma: 1
    • Luck: 1
  • Class: Bard/Cleric
    • Jack of All Trades: As a Bard, March has a lot of skill points, enough to get some points in pretty much every basic skill Ragnarok had to offer on Character Creation.
    • Sagas: March's build uses a variant of Barding Casting called Sagacasting. Sagas are complicated and powerful spells that are based on famous stories and historical moments in the world of Ragnarok. Sagas often recreate some factor from the tale it's based on. For example, the Saga of the Twelve Labours can be used to bind a target to a certain Quest and empower them when undertaking it, while the Saga of the Shadow's Rise can be used to raise the dead to blight the world and do your bidding. New Sagas can be created as the world of Ragnarok develops and new legends arise, making it one of the more flavorful systems in Ragnarok. Sagas are pretty slow to cast and have much longer cooldowns than regular spells to make up for their complexity and power. March's build somewhat makes up for this with her high DEX, but her below-average INT for a spellcaster means she doesn't know all that many Sagas.
    • Divine Domain - Time: The March Hare is capable of using the most basic of the Time Domain's abilities: The power to speed up or slow down movement. March can use this to speed up allies by up to twice their normal speed or slow down enemy movements to half their normal rate. These are usually single-target effects, but March can use an AoE version of either effect as a sort of Ultimate.
    • Time Heals All Wounds: Instead of normal healing, Diana's specific Cleric Build relies on granting Regeneration Status Effects to her allies for healing. Diana is of the opinion that the minimum amount of HP a character should have is 1, so don't expect her to heal you if she thinks you'll survive the next attack.
  • History: MarchHare is pretty new to not just Ragnarok or MMOs, but to RPGs in general. Before this, most of the games she played were rhythm and music-based games rather than combat-based ones. Still, one of her online friends had recommended Ragnarok to her and she decided to give it a go. March can come off as fairly naive when it comes to MMOs, what with having no experience with it beforehand. She had designed her character to play more of a support-type role rather than direct combat one, and about half of her build choices were driven more by flavor than mechanical optimization.

  • Name: Star (the Bloodlord)
  • Race: Vampire
  • Appearance: Star is 6'6, thin, and wears a black, fancy suit under a suit of armor made out of the bones of his mortal enemies (some piles of bone that were sticking out of a graveyard), which is then covered by two layers of thick cloth to protect from sunlight, making him look like a large bedsheet ghost. His ruby red eyes are hidden by a pair of shades, and his "hair as black as the night" (a dark blue) is constantly frazzled from being under sheets all the time, yet somehow still looks good. During the night, he prefers to turn his protection against the sun into a cape. By his side is a large dragon bone hammer with a massive ruby acting as the crushing piece (just a paid-for illusion, it's actually made of wood and steel.)
  • Stats:
    • Str: 5
    • Dex: 4
    • Con: 2
    • Int: 3
    • Cha: 0
    • Luck: 4
  • Classes: Paladin/Necromancer
    • Help Yourself: Drawing upon his blood arts, Star hits his targets with lifesteal, turning his enemies into pinatas that provide minor healing for anyone.
    • Hammer Toss: His hammer is deceptively light, and he is deceptively dexterous. He enjoys throwing his hammer at people who think he could never hit them, and then having his hammer return to him with a bit of paladin magic. Fliers beware.
    • Charm of the (annoying) vampire: Star's low charisma and general antics have translated into an odd skill that occasionally causes enemies to go berserk, obey him, or leave him alone because they don't want to hear him speak anymore. It's like nails on a chalkboard, and they'll do anything to make him stop.
    • Skeleton Shield: His paladin class has mixed with his necromancy in an odd way, allowing him to reinforce bones and blood into much more solid constructs...though he just prefers to reinforce his or his allies bones, seeing it as a support skill.
    • Sewing Survivor: Due to his history, he's spent a lot of time sewing his protection, making him rather handy with some needles and thread. He enjoys knitting in his spare time.
  • History: Star found out about Ragnarok through an online ad, looked into it, thought it seemed neat, and decided to play it. He decided he'd play as a badass vampiric knight, capable of doing anything...and then he spawned, caught on fire, died, and respawned all until the sun went down. By then, he had a sizable pile of ash surrounding him. Thankfully, he was able to procure a sewing kit and some cloth after selling the ash to a local alchemist, fashioning his protective gear from them. Now he travels the lands, searching for glory...and something to cure his sun problem permanently.

  • Name: Dzordzeanote  Velks

  • Race: Formerly human, now effectively a lich

  • Appearance: Always pale and thin, Dzordzea has only become even more so in the wake of her resurrection. Her blonde hair, once well-groomed, is now matted, unkempt and uneven. The lower half of her face is always concealed by a thick metal mask, and for good reason. Just above the mask, her current state has drained her eyes of colour; they're now a dull, lifeless grey, with little distinction between the sclerae, irises and pupils. Her current clothing consists of tattered dark robes cobbled together from whatever fabric she could find - all her fancy tailored outfits were left behind in a previous life.

  • Stats:

    • Strength: 1
    • Dexterity: 1
    • Constitution: 5
    • Intelligence: 9
    • Charisma: 0
    • Luck: 2

  • Class: Necromancer

    • Undead: Given her current lich-like state, Dzordzea qualifies as undead. She does not count as "alive" for the purposes of anything that checks as much, is affected by abilities that affect undead monsters and, in true D&D undead fashion, she is healed by death magic while also being damaged by the life magic that heals living creatures. Keep the clerics a safe distance from this one.

    • Summon Zombie: Dzordzea once commanded one of the strongest and most varied undead hordes in all of Ragnarok. Having lost most of her power, she's reduced to only being able to summon a few basic zombies at a time, which can follow simple orders and lunge clumsily for the brains of her enemies, but not much else. She hopes to regain most of her lost reanimation spells with time, but for now, this will have to do.

    • Deathly Disc: Dzordzea emits a ~20ft circular blast of death energy, centred on her position when cast. Living creatures caught in the circle take necrosis-based damage, while undead, excluding Dzordzea herself, are healed at the same rate. Inanimate organic matter may also be damaged by the blast. The necrosis does not discriminate between friend and foe, only between dead and alive; allies who see this spell coming should duck and cover.

    • Death's Touch: Similar necrotic effects to Deathly Disc, except cast through contact with Dzordzea's hands. More damaging/healing on an individual basis, but lacks the range and multi-targeting capabilities of its counterpart.

    • Mask: Dzordzea's mask contains what, if she still needed working lungs, would have functioned as a breathing apparatus. Now that she doesn't, said apparatus serves as a means for administering various non-oxygen gases, usually ones with some kind of buffing property. Painkilling gas that reduces the damage she takes is one of the more common ones. Dzordzea needs to have a supply of a gas on hand before she can use it, naturally.

Your history: Dzordzea's player was an early adopter of Ragnarok, joining all the way back when the game was in semi-open beta. Initially, she'd intended mostly to marvel at the game's technical accomplishments, but by sheer coincidence she ended up in the orbit of fellow beta tester Fosca, who had ambitions of becoming Ragnarok's first player-guild kingpin. Through a mixture of opportunistic political brokering and relentless grinding, Fosca achieved his dream - by the time the game reached a stable release, "Triple F", a name with origins lost to time, had amassed sizeable territory. Now, they are the de facto rulers of a vast heartland, plus numerous scattered enclaves.

Unfortunately, with great power comes a great big ego. The more influence Fosca amassed, the colder and more megalomaniacal he became. Many in Triple F were quite willing to play along with the boss's growing malevolence if it meant more power for them, but not Dzordzea. She confronted him one-on-one in a fateful duel to decide the guild's future... and lost. Really, really badly. "Assumed permadead" badly.

Life went on. The slaughter of one of his own long-time teammates was apparently the push off the slippery slope Fosca needed; he has fully embraced his role as the aspiring Evil Overlord of Ragnarok, and eagerly awaits the arrival of every doomed wannabe hero who thinks they can stop him. But he's forgotten one important thing, which is that you can't keep a master necromancer down that easily.

Dzordzea Velks is back. It took a long time, and it wasn't without cost. Her body is a brutalised, decayed husk practically hanging together with duct tape, and most of her power has been lost, but she's not going to let little details like that stop her. She will not rest until she's once again powerful enough to take on Fosca, and this time, she intends to win.

I have a few questions before I actually write a signup.

  • Any relation to the real-life Ragnarok Online?
  • Some people have mentioned VR in their signups; is RO a VR game or played on a normal computer? If VR, is it fully immersive?
  • You mention that our characters should have 18 stat points, yet it's obvious when totaling the stats on some signups that some people have totals other than 18 points. Why is this?

1. No relation whatsoever.

2. Fully immersive VR. Think SAO.

3. Likely a mistake I'll ask people to fix before the game starts properly.

Is it selfish that I'm happy as we pass the setting sun?

Well, here we go! Let me know if anything needs changing; I'm open to any edits necessary!

Edit: Originally meant to include the ability to breathe underwater as a racial trait of Aquaphids, but forgot, so now I have added it.

  • Name: Minami (Real Name: Minami Kanagawa)
  • Race: Aquaphid. Aquaphids are humanoid nature spirits originating from water. They are a matriarchal society, ruled by a Queen who makes her home in an Atlantis-like civilization in RO's sea.
  • Appearance: Minami's Avatar
  • Stats:
    • STR: 2
    • DEX: 2
    • CON: 4
    • INT: 0
    • CHA: 10
    • LCK: 0
  • Class: Monk
    • Blessing of the Aquamarine: Racial traits common to all Aquaphids, including increased swim speed, ability to breathe underwater, taking decreased damage from water-based attacks, the ability to converse with aquatic wildlife, and the ability to optionally imbue their attacks with a water element.
    • Charm Creature: An ability of all player characters with high CHA that may - with a low probability of success - temporarily cause a hostile mob creature to become friendly and subsequently use beneficial abilities on the charmer and the charmer's allies, and even attack its former allies. The charm effect has a chance to break if the charmed mob takes damage, and some mobs are immune.
    • High-Speed Movement: Abilities of a pure Monk class (all with cooldowns) which allow her to traverse quickly across short or medium distances by moving extremely fast in short bursts (think of the similar ability from Dragonball), or quickly across longer distances via powerful leaps. Also includes a Matrix-style bullet-time ability to catch solid projectiles or dodge attacks which, in combination with her equipment-enhanced CON (and therefore high HP), enables her to serve as a reasonably good tank.
    • Intimidate and Taunt: The other reason she makes a reasonably good tank. Her high CHA enables her to be highly successful in using Taunt abilities to draw enemy aggro to herself, as well as crowd-controlling Intimidate abilities.
    • Ki Manipulation: Allows her to sense beings which possess Ki from a great distance, as well as grasp their powerlevel. In combination with her nature as an Aquaphid, grants her the ability to extend any or all of her senses a great distance through nearby bodies of water or rain. Also includes a weak, first-aid-like healing ability that can be used on oneself or others (and harms undead), and of course enables enhanced non-elemental physical blows and Hadoken and Shoryuken-like attacks.
    • Ocean Queen's Legacy: A gift from the RO devs in recognition of her accomplishments during the game's beta, with each member of her group getting one unique piece of equipment of varied effects. The Ocean Queen's Legacy is a ring marking her character as descendant of the Queen of Aquaphids, which on rare occasion provides special dialogue or secret, high-difficulty, high-reward quests. Furthermore, adds 40% of her CHA as bonus to her physical attributes (STR/DEX/CON).
  • Your History: Minami originally joined RO during the beta, with a character simply named "Minami", an Aquaphid. Although she never joined a proper guild, she was personally magnetic and cobbled together an on-again, off-again, ad-hoc party / friend group that proved to be very effective at rooting out game bugs, testing the game world, and beating content, taking home a number of the community's world firsts. By the end of the beta period, however, they disbanded for certain real-life related reasons. In recognition of their contributions and accomplishments, RO's devs provided each of them with a unique piece of equipment, and incorporated the old characters of those who were willing to retire their toons and/or reroll a new toon into the game's lore as people of significance. Minami's character, "Minami" thus became the Queen of the Aquaphids, and the player likes to RP as if her new "Minami" toon is a few generations descended from the old "Minami" toon. However, jealousy, rumor, and disbelief later cast doubt on even the existence of Minami's original group of beta players, so most people would probably assume that she is a new player who named her character after the Queen (or her own given name, which she is fairly open about sharing). In contrast to some other players, Minami does not play RO to escape some real-life difficulty, but simply because she finds it a fun passtime and hobby.

  • Name: Strun of the Black Flight
  • Race: Dark Elf
  • Appearance: Strun has barely altered the fourth Dark Elf female preset. Oh sure her hair's a nice white ponytail rather than the preset's normal and the eyes have been swapped to orange, but otherwise her player has done very little to change the mildly conventionally attractive preset.
  • Stats:
    • Strength: 3
    • Dexterity: 3
    • Constitution: 3
    • Intelligence: 3
    • Charisma: 3
    • Luck: 3
  • Class: Warrior/Wizard/Thief/Artificer/Monk/Bard/Cleric/Paladin/Druid/Ranger/Necromancer
    • That's... All of them: Strun has stacked together every single class in the game into a horrific mess of conflicting themes that theoretically could take any role in a party, undertake every quest that isn't tied to race and use any piece of equipment. However the requirements to do this level of multiclassing have left her with terrible stats across the board and a rough road to her next character advancement.
    • Deploy Clockwork Scaryacchi Band: A skill from the Artificer/Bard/Necromancer class trinity. When activated this skill summons four weak metal endoskeletons equipped with the first four Bard instruments in the user's bags. They are generally meant to be used as support backup and reaffirm that the combination is still a pet class. As normal for Necromancer pets, the Scaryacchi Band cannot be directly controlled and tend to congregate inside the melee DPS pack and perform buffing songs.
    • Tithing Palm: An early-game skill from the Thief/Monk/Cleric trinity that would be core to ability synergy and damage/healing rotations if it wasn't for the fact that Strun has no abilities that synergise with it. On its own, Tithing Palm is a combination of a basic attack that turns damage done into physical coins (not the currency of the realm, unfortunately) and an ability that channels those coins into healing.
    • Warcasting: The core skill of the Warrior/Wizard/Ranger trinity. With the right crafting skills, the player can create over-sized wands used as long-range arcane artillery and in a pinch can be used as bludgeoning weapons. To prevent abuse, the arcane attacks unleashed by these wands cause splash damage within the area of impact that can afflict the player and their summons (though not other player allies) just as hard as the enemy.
    • Earthwarden's Aegis: The main tanking stance of the Paladin/Druid pair. By drawing power from the stones beneath the player becomes much more resistant to damage and passively generates a lot of aggro in exchange for a heavily reduced movement speed.
  • Your history: Strun is a very new player to RO, having fled an as yet unresolved total server collapse of the competing MMO Destination Fantasy. Despite being a fresh player who has only just gotten out of tutorial, Strun has a deep and in-depth backstory formed over the course of several MMOs that completely conflicts with RO's lore; a tragic story about some kind of corrupted antagonist dragon who Strun is the daughter of (and a true dragon who just happens to have a more mortal 'disguise'), the culling of her 'Flight' and the painful purification of her corruption by things on some kind of Isle of the Makers that left her with scars and bolted-on metal plates including a full on jaw replacement (Strun has yet to find the armor pieces that work to display this disfigurement). Naturally, none of this backstory has any relevance to her actual player, who is a socially-awkward middle class gamer boy from Sydney who has hopped from game to game trying to implement an OC whose story just doesn't fit anywhere.

It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.

Name: Skuller_B0nes

Race: Skeleton

Appearance: Skuller_B0nes

Stats:

Strength: 7

Dexterity: 5

Constitution: 1

Intelligence: 5

Charisma: 0

Luck: 0

Class: Monk/Necromancer

Bones and Marrow: With her race being of a human skeleton, she is easily had to put back her body parts to take hard hits which are from her weak defense of being a skeleton, which can be used to pull off her arm and use it as an unarmed attack or to even toss it and pull it back with her magic, but as a skeleton, she has no Ki, can "breath" underwater, and healing and holy hurting her and unholy and poison healing her.

Fists of Fury: Just like any other monk she is beat at punching things hard and fast by using Ki if she had any, which without her strikes are more to a bit stronger punches.

Your Life is my Life: One of her many Necromancer skills is a weak leeching beam that can aim for enemies or allies which is where she can get her healing and Ki to let her send out blows of punches and kicks as she is leeching off her teammate, with the Ki being no the same for each body she leech's off making her monk skills unpredictable.

Summoning the Dead: Just like any other Necromancer, she can summon the dead from zombies to skeletons from fights to shielding by her size.

Darker Arts: With the unholy mix of a Monk and Necromancer will lead to her experimenting on both sides making fists poisoning people, or even leeching a lot more from the person if her attack hits making risk and reward with her leeching monk attacks

Your history: She is just your normal person gaming and stuff until getting into this new MMO after seeing how much people were playing it but more on how you can make her character, hearing this she got on and got the idea if a skeleton monk can use Ki even if they are undead, being inpatient she did not look it up and made her character where she was unable to use her Ki moves, forcing her to grind animals she can find until she leveled and seeing to learn a skill from her other class she picked Necromancer on a leeching move, her seeing that this build can be saved, learned the leech more and started to just be like any other undead monk.
