Do you consider yourself to be a Yuppie? Read the trope description for what the subculture entails. If yes, then this thread may be for you!

To be clear, I was born in the Gen Z date range, but I always preferred the company of boomers and kinda see myself as one more than the generation I was born in (IMO, you can be a boomer no matter what time you were born in if you believe you are one). And I'm not a true yuppie in that I don't like spending my money on expensive frivolous things all that much and am more of a tea drinker than coffee, but I am still a dude in the early twenties, do yoga, plan to get a high-end computer and a better smartphone, enjoy working a lot more than anything else while intending to improve my skills and position, and am overall quite materialistic.

Speaking of a better smartphone, I finally bought it. I'd say its specs are pretty good (and it even has a laser, in case that's ever needed for presentations).

And this work week was probably the hardest one that happened in the summer, not helped by the very high temperature (but I can wear a blouse even when it's this hot and live fine). Of course, this means there was a thunderstorm this evening.

I've got a haircut today. It's very short and practical, and the barber was very snappy. Especially happy since I haven't had my hair cut for months. Long hair is just bothersome anyway, IMO.

Anyone interested in the RTX 4000 series? I personally believe the RTX 3070 is more than good enough (it can reach even 1440p 160FPS in some situations), but if it ever starts going below 1440p 60FPS at the lowest settings, I'll probably replace it... But that's not happening for a while. Still, that Racer RTX demo looks kickass, really wish they'd make it into a full game with 16+ tracks and a Grand Prix mode!

This is the last post I'm making here until someone else shows up. It's kind of sad to use a forum for a group when you're the only one who fits (but I still believe in it).
