Part 2 on youtube: the Death of Nortel
Who knew just making up numbers didnt magically make your company profitable?
I'm about halfway through the video.
I remember mentioning in the first part how investors always want more. But, I have to admit, I didn't anticipate just HOW far Nortel's stocks would crater. The price of using fake numbers
And somehow, I'm only halfway through. How many other ways will Nortel shit the bed before the end of the story?
Finished the video.
I'm saddened but not necessarily surprised that this story ended in "The commonman are the ones facing the consequences."
"No one broke the rules" is one of the closing statements. But they sure exploited the hell out of loopholes
Kudos to Bobby for being objective where its warranted, as it certainly seems to striker a deeper nerve then past scandals he's covered (understandably so)
New video. Not on a science topic, but a behind the scenes of his video making process.
He has done a similar video to this before, but that was more of a tutorial to video making with Google Earth (which he says in the intro isn't even what he does anymore). And this isn't intended so much as a tutorial.

I mean, it really bears repeating what he said in the video; stock prices are linked to a company's value only in theory.
