I think I'm more hype for a Shang-Chi sequel than for any other Marvel project in the last year or upcoming (well, besides Ant-Man 2), so the fact that the next few years are freaking stuffed with all sorts of things just brings on the resignation.
Actually, with them being the characters currently in the MCU who work best in an urban environment, I'd dig a Shang-Chi / Kamala crossover story. It'd make a nice take on the Spidey / Shang-Chi companionship in the comics.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Well, we got Marvel Zombies comin' up.
Trust no one.Watched some interviews with Iman Vellani. She is so fantastic. She is to Marvel what David Tennant was to Doctor Who. Just a massive Ascended Fan who miracled into a dream role, and loves talking to people about it and nerding out about it.

She does have an incredibly wholesome energy to her, and I'm glad that her genuine love of the franchise and its fandom means that she's good at keeping secrets, but still dangling the meat string in front of us.
Trust no one.Her energy gives me energy. It's infectious.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"In interviews at D23 this weekend about The Marvels, Iman Vellani very carefully did not confirm that there will be a second season. Very carefully.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"She is precious and must be protected.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonI agree;
also that's a great news^^ maybe we'll finally get more actual Ms Marvel stuff in this season 2^^
We're now getting multiple outlets (CBR), (The Direct) reporting that Ms. Marvel has been greenlit for a second season. Note that the source for all of these articles is a "scooper" and may not be reliable. I'm not saying it's happening, but a lot of other people seem to be.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Really wishing they saved the Karachi arc now, but I am optimistic that the second season will be better.
Here's hoping they get some fun villains for the second season
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."If they do do it, I wonder how quickly they'll get to dilm it and how plausible the young actors will look as young people by then.
It wouldn't be the first time that mid-twenties actors have had to play characters who are still teenagers. It helps that Iman Vellani looks ridiculously young for her age, and I wouldn't be surprised to see the writers do a brief Time Skip anyway.
What concerns me (slightly) is that they can't keep her stuck in Comic-Book Time and be in high school forever, since the MCU as a whole has to keep moving along. So is she going to play out the same tropes but in college? Have to deal with getting a job as well as being a superhero?
We don't get to see too many characters doing this: even the Tom Holland Spider-Man films keep him in high school, but the Blip is (ironically) super convenient for that.
There is one saving grace: the MCU has skipped ahead in real time to 2025. This means they can compress their timeline and let the real world catch up.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"As an ex-teen girl, I think she looks very much her age and Dawson Casting has already taken root in your brain
Y'know, it's ironic how Ms. Marvel and Spider-Man kind of have the opposite problems at the moment. Spidey has the issue of constantly being stuck at the high school / college phase of his life since the early 60s, and despite people clamoring for him to properly age up into being an adult, the people in charge just never seem to do it.
Meanwhile, Kamala is much younger and so everybody's so used to her still being a kid that we have no idea how to process her actually becoming an adult, even when it's inevitable as seen here.
Trust no one.Peter’s had 60 years of material, Kamala’s had less than a decade.
Yeah, Kamala becoming an "adult" is still a long way off.
Amusingly Spider-Man did use to grow up in real life time before One More Day happened. I wonder if they will let Khamala grow up similarly.
I'm not sure how Marvel could possibly pull a One More Day on Kamala Khan, but I can almost guarantee that fans would want Feige's head if that happened.
Trust no one.I recall jokes being made about how Marvel are never gonna let Miles and Kamala grow up
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The only alternative is to have them die young, which would be a bold choice. And not one I think people would agree with.
Trust no one.I think being a younger Legacy Character just makes it difficult to "grow up", because their older predecessors are already doing the Adult(tm) things they could be doing.
eg. Jubilee and Tim Drake were a Marvel/DC Crossover Ship in the 90s but Jubilee has since become a parent, which is not likely to happen to Tim because he's got at least two Batman sidekicks ahead of him.
Kamala in college might be cute though and sufficiently separate from Carol's military space adventures. There are way more high school sitcoms than college sitcoms so more of the latter would be fun.

Tim is a pretty evident case as he's stuck in a perpetual limbo of growing up/getting younger cause he's effectively the middle child of the Batfam
Connor Kent has a weirder case where Jon Kent who came after him is now an idiot while Con is being drawn to look even younger than him
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."He’s an idiot?
Forever liveblogging the Avengers
We're gonna get Shang-Chi 2 in 2027, I just know it!
