Probably because they're just sitting there in the back unnoticed and not taking up a ton of space. There's really no standards when it comes to project threads for when something is considered unrevivable- anyone who wants to put effort into a project is allowed to necro.

The moment War Jay 77 said there are no standards as to which project thread is considered unrevivable (I'll never understand why there aren't any) is the moment I lost faith in this community. I will therefore be deleting this account after this is posted. Never in a million years did I ever expect this to happen, but I guess life gives you unexpected things every now and then. Goodbye.

Man, all I meant was is that unlike the TLP discard project, there's no specific way to tell if something can never be revived or fixed and is better off cut. I even said at the beginning of this thread that I'm down to take part in the project, but I also said that we could use this time to revive things as well, because some of these threads are legit projects that are better off revived, and it's better to take it slowly and assess things individually rather than just slash and burn everything.
We don't have a specific metric for when a thread needs to be locked, so we need to discuss things rather than make a (pretty arbitrary) cut off where everything older than the cut off date is locked. (Plus that's just a lot of work for the mods.)

I meant the latter. I already know the threads purpose. I was just trying to say that working on old thread (if you are able to) is more productive than setting an expiration date on threads. Some old threads here do need to be locked but it's not a high priority thing. Sorry, if that wasn't clear.
