Mandela Catalogue

Never saw any thread for this series, so decided to make one. Mandela Catalogue is an Analog Horror Web Video series created by Alex Kister in 2021.

The series takes place in an alternate Earth overrun by the Alternates, shapeshifting demons that take on the form of humans. Society has become a Crapsack World thanks to the existence of these entities, and humanity lives in fear of the Alternates coming for them. The medium of which these videos are presented differs, ranging from a police training video, a phone recording coupled with surveillance footage, a Public Service Announcement for adults on how to protect their children from "graphic content," and even an edit of a cartoon about the bible.

What do you think the Intruder is? Sense Word of God is that he is not an Alternate

I think definitely servant of Satan, aka creator of the Alternates, since he seems to assist them and serve their cause (terrify and torture humanity).

Found footage is usually my least favorite genre of horror but analog horror, especially The Backrooms, is definitely working to turn that around.

I personally think the Intruder is some kind of Antichrist equivalent, thanks to his name being '6' and the whole '333' thing. Not hard to get a Number of the Beast parallel there.

I personally am liking analogue horror webseries as well, mainly when it has a bigger story.

The Mandela Catalogue Vol.4 was released.

That was such a heavy lore drop! Holy hell.

I enjoyed Satan's new voice. And confirmation that the Intruder is Stanley.

Interesting tidbit of lore from the official Gabriel plushie.

The harbinger of evil, Gabriel, was the first Alternate. The hivemind leader that doomed Mandela County from the very beginning. Why not have him on display?

The term 'hivemind leader' is interesting. It indicates that the alternates are not necessarily a race of beings created by Satan. Rather it's more like Satan himself spread about a bunch of different bodies.

This also explains why Adam can't remember what he is. He was disconnected from the hive mind. And the reason he is so awful is that he's quite literally a piece of the devil that broke off.
