Created, written and illustrated by Sarah Jolley, it follows the story of a television-headed monster named RGB and a young girl known only as Hero.

Another webcomic Tumblr showed me,I started reading yesterday and I'm now on chapter 3

Its neat. Cool characters but kinda pretentious writing. Pacing is annoying, especially with the repetitive plot beats. Even at nine years, it feels like we’ve barely encountered the plot.

Feels heavily inspired by The Phantom Tollbooth with our hero wandering from a conceptual pun made manifest to another conceptual pun made manifest, with a somewhat rushed guide. Though this heightens the metafiction.

I'm surprised that a web comic that's been running for nine years and I've only now just heard of it,it feels its waiting for the right moment for comic to emerge in mainstream awareness

The Homestuck thread is discussing how webcomics have been on the downswing for something of a decade, and this one, while beautiful, doesn’t seem especially poised to revitalize the medium and bring it barreling into the fore.

I’d like it to receive mainstream attention though, it might galvanize the talented Ms Jolley.

It is a very nice comic, though it is awfully heavy on metaphor. A great read when you can keep turning the pages, but not something that you can follow one page every week or so.

Like, wake me up when it is finished, and I'll gladly read the whole thing.

Comparing it to Tiger,Tiger another beautiful webcomic I started reading recently I was able to read through it enough that I caught up the with artist,I don't think I'd be able to manage that with this webcomic though unless I was really dedicated

No sex, no violence, no sale. Also, the plot is really slow, and the character development is even slower.

Sex and violence aren't always necessary in a story, unless that's what you're looking for specially...

Finished! Not bad at all: the art is beautiful, even rising to awesome on occasion (such as the market scenes). And character development did occur: we now know more about RGB than we did in the first, oh, 200 pages. And "Hero" is also developing as she learns more about her own motivations and the people around her. But it is indeed so very, very, very slow.

Also, the plot could be described as "excessively simple." They travel, something attacks them, there is character exposition, repeat. We haven't even met the main antagonist yet.

Still, it had me engaged to the end. I recommend for people into this sort of thing.

I really feel that the current chapter (Casting) is going to be an interesting look into the past heroes, not to mention that Hate will be getting more prominence due to her role in the story.

Joke? Why are you calling it a joke? You drew a picture of two dudes hugging and wrote "I love hugs!" on it.

The latest chapter Casting has a lot of revelations to take in: Click was the second hero after RGB himself but wasn't murdered, just left to die. RGB's plans involved giving up his own memories and recruiting new heroes to keep the world alive to prevent it from ending and that this is his last chance.

It's possible that we might actually get to see Hate in person unless Click himself is the next Arc Villain in the story.

This might be (definitely is) a bit off topic, but I thought it was funny enough to link:

(Incidentally, in followup posts she claims that no, this wasn't a bit.)

My posts make considerably more sense read in the voice of John Ratzenberger.

[up] It's things like this that keep me sane among the various absurdities I've seen over the last few days.

As of now, Hero and RGB must face the fact that the world is ending. How will they get out of this one?
