I hope Cad Bane shows up, despite having been seemingly killed off in a deleted episode of Clone Wars, reappearing in Bad Batch, and having his ultimate fate at the end of Bad Batch not revealed yet.
The climactic finish to the season becomes another epic showdown duel between Boba and Bane, this time in an actual published work. Boba finally kills Bane once and for all.
Then season two of Rebels comes out, and Boba Fett and Cad Bane also have an epic showdown duel in that series. Boba Fett kills Cad Bane once and for all, which seems to screw up the continuity of the show with this series.
Then season two of Book of Boba Fett comes out. Cad Bane shows up, totally unfazed from the previous duel. Around mid-seasons, Boba and Bane have yet another final duel, ending Cad Bane for good.
Then Cad Bane shows up inexplicably in season three. It just goes on like this. Cad Bane is like Kenny from South Park. He just keeps dying, and then keeps showing up. By season four, he's dying in every episode.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Somehow Cad Bane returned.
If we could finally kill Bane, I'd be more than down with that
And Hondo too please, while we're at it.

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.I'd be down for Bane showing up as, like, the elderly retired gunslinger type. Sitting in a seedy ghost town, lamenting about how he used to be the greatest, desperate for one last opportunity to prove how big he is.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Ha so Boba has been using hot springs to recuperate.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I find it interesting that he seems to be wearing a damaged version of his OT flightsuit in one scene.
Which makes me think we'll actually see how he survived.
The Bacta tank scene might be after he took Jabba's Palace because he seemed to be less scarred in the first trailer than he was in The Mandalorian.

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.Elderly Cad Bane meeting this older Boba as the sort of last remnant of his past (Jango is dead and Kamino is a crater, but Bane knew Jango and they seemeed to be a Friendly Enemy type relationship). He's the only significant character you can do a Bill Munny-esque Dented Iron Retired Monster routine. Every other bounty hunter is either some variation of a dashing rogue (Boba included) or dead, Cad Bane's the only one who has actually done enough monstrous things for that storyarc to ring true.
Once Upon a Time in the West also has a great character in the form of Frank, the ruthless, monstrous and sadistic gunslinger who's trying to retire and live a comfortable life as a businessman, but who realizes he can't really fit in the civilized world (a realization that almost makes him pitiable) and thus throws himself in one final duel with his arch-enemy in the hopes of going out as a true gunslinger. That arc is fantastic and also works great for a elderly Cad Bane.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Cad Bane is also a genuinely cooler bounty hunter than Boba Fett.
That voice. He and Plo Koon should start an ASMR channel.
I do think Cad Bane is a much cooler and much better character than Boba Fett ever was (or will be in all likelihood) and I still see very little reason to have resurrected Boba other than masturbatory fanservice, but that boat has long sailed. It's the book of boba, what ya gonna do.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Well, they did manage to do pretty well with Maul, so at least there is some cautious optimism.
Wake me up at your own risk. That's the main reason I'm giving this a shot. Though I did feel Maul got a better start out of the gate (with Savage and his introduction as a babbling lunatic shell of himself), while Boba basically just showed up in Mandalorian to be a fanboy's fantasy version of himself and not much else. The trailers don't particularly enthuse me either.
Still, Filoni has a lot of credit with me, so I'm here to see where this goes.

"All you Fascists bound to lose."Will Boba betray you like Loki? Who knows...
But a Bounty Hunter's heart...can be full of treachery and death...
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Bounty hunting is a complicated profession. Wouldn't you agree?
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Ay, especially when people keep requesting "no disintegrations".
Motherkriffer, you said you wanted them alive or dead! You didn't say how they should be delivered to you! Now pony up or your family won't be able to recognize your remains, either!

@Gaon:
Ah, a fellow man of culture.
I see you too prefer Cad Bane over Boba Fett.
Does Boba know what a book is? Aren’t those incredibly rare and ancient in the galaxy far far away?
The sacred texts!
It's not like we know for sure.
I mean, there's always the Outer Rim and other regions of the galaxy where they may be (relatively) plentiful compared to other places.
I don't see, for example, Coruscant having many books beyond what you'd find in a museum.
Hi, there's an IP thread going on for Characters.Star Wars Boba Fett going on right now that needs more participation. Pop by if interested.
An IP thread?
Image Picking
With it's release rapidly approaching and this new trailer airing, I thought the time might be right for the show to receive it's own thread
So, what are your hopes, what are your fears?
