• Race: Talking Dog (specifically a Golden Saint)
• Position: Ship's dog. Mainly in charge of catching rats and occasionally serving as a guard dog when the situation requires it.
• Appearance: Looks like your typical Golden Saint dog; big, shaggy and yellow-furred.
• Personality: Bucky, in many ways, is like your average dog. He's not the brightest bulb in the drawer, he loves playing catch, killing squirrels and barking when he sees other dogs. How he differs from other dogs is that he's always had a bit of an adventurous streak in him. Well, that's a nice way of putting it. Others might say he has a bit of a self-destructive, bloodthirsty streak in him. The truth is somewhere in between - Bucky does love going on adventures and fights and relishes the thought of collecting more gold to spend on gambling or booze or fine cigars. A true canine, he won't hesitate to leap into the fray if he feels his friends are being threatened, even if they aren't. He likes to think of himself as a dog of exceptionally good breeding and that he makes a damn good pirate. He's also constantly looking for ways to extend his shorter lifespan.
• History: Born an ordinary dog, Bucky was purchased by a pirate captain to accompany him on a voyage, to help keep the ship's rat population at bay. Bucky served loyally abord the crew, racking up an impressive rodent body count and endearing himself to the pirates. However, one day, Bucky ended up eating a couple or three things he shouldn't have when the pirate crew stopped by a witch's hut. Since then, he's gained the ability to talk and reason critically, endearing him to the pirates even more. However, this endearment was not enough to prevent the enterprising pirate crew from selling Bucky to the same witch on their next visit, as the magic-user saw Bucky as a curiosity, worthy of study. Since then, Bucky has resigned himself to the role of the witch's science experiment/guinea pig, longing for the days he can be a pirate again.
• Abilities:
  • Dogspeak: Bucky has the ability to communicate with other dogs.
  • Claws and Fangs: A giant dog already, Bucky is a formidable enough fighter without taking into account his fangs and claws that really give him an edge.
  • Keen Sniffer: His nose lets him sniff out prey across great distances, whether that prey is a simple shiprat or an enemy pirate.
