And here's the teaser.
I checked this out a while after watching the fan-made Helluva Boss crossover animation, and only watched the pilot so far. I'm a little mixed. The premise seems interesting and I really like the style of it, and I'm curious as to where the story is going... but the humor is really not my sort of thing. I'm already not the biggest fan of meta jokes to begin with, but the pilot really relied on them to the point where lampshading made up most of the humor and even got thrown in to otherwise dramatic moments. Looking at the start of the thread that seems to be the common opinion. I got a slight kick out of "Ew, it didn't even kill her" and Khan sipping a "#1 Dad" mug immediately after Uzi called him out, but there's otherwise a little too much "Hey look we're doing a trope but we're pointing it out" to my liking. Almost to Gag Series levels to be honest, when I know it's not one.
Do the later episodes dial down on the meta humor? Right now that's the biggest reason why I'm not in a big hurry to binge the series.
I write stories about naked people beating demons, gods, and eldritch horrors.I'd say the series finds its footing with episodes 2 and 3. Sets up a lot of intrigue and mystery that follows theough the rest of the series.
Yeah, meta humor (and to a lesser extent, humor in general) gets dialed down as the episodes progress, even in Episode 2 (which, I should note, does kinda flip the script in regards to the plot).

He/Himand That's good to hear, I'll give Episode 2 a shot soon then.
I write stories about naked people beating demons, gods, and eldritch horrors.Murder drones is my favourite show and I hope it get's a season 2, but with the success of TADC I think glitch is going to try to wrap it up this.season
The success of the one doesn't mean the end of the other, especially when they have different creative teams and several other shows.
Vegeta: I'm back bitches!Make senses.
Absolute RainbowWell, it was bound to happen. I have here some tweets announcing brutal working conditions at Glitch Productions.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. While I feel for the workers, I don't believe this belongs on the Murder Drones forum. Specifically because this refers more to general treatment under Kevin Lerdwichagul, and doesn't specifically pertain to the production of Murder Drones which is specifically under Liam Vickers. There may be some overlap, particularly if the production teams share members, but unless that is actually provable, then its only speculation and only tangentially related to the thread.
Reminder, while Murder Drones is a "Glitch Productions" IP, its not necessarily under the same head, and have different production teams. So unless Kevin's actions are directly affecting the production of Murder Drones, then this belongs more on a "Glitch Productions" Forum Thread.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.EPISODE 7 BUMP:
Lets get the biggest one out of the way: Tessa has been Dead All Along, and was really the Solver puppeteering her corpse. I thought it was weird that a human kid like her could have survived for so long, but it makes a lot more sense that she was just a dead body. Though that does raise with it a plethora of questions:
- If she needed a new host as implied, why was she trying to convince N to put Uzi down? Was it just to drive a wedge between them and make Uzi run off?
- Is she the main body for the Solver and "killing" Tessa would kill her, or is this just a remote host and the actual Solver is elsewhere, cause if its the former, this very well could be a one season show if they manage to eliminate her here.
- Does J actually know that Tessa is dead? Or is she being kept in the dark too?
They seem to have deliberately kept the fate of V unknown right now, so I wonder if this is furthering the idea she could be back, maybe pull a Big Damn Heroes moment.
I won't lie when I say that Doll's end was kinda anticlimatic. I get that she had to be taken out of the way to make room for the Solver being the sole enemy, but after all the buildup, the way she's just taken out feels a tad disappointing. And considering the Solver in Tessa's body ate Doll's corpse, unless she failed to eat that flesh brain thing, I think Doll is gone for good.
Lizzie and Thad are back, hit J with a bus, and are armed with Uzi's railgun, so they'll get to do some cool stuff hopefully, and, provided he doesn't try blasting N, maybe my opinion of Khan will improve, especially if he ends up learning Nori actually is alive still.
Why was that intern pretending to be a doctor? And why did the entire team seem prepared to release Yeva when it looked like Nori was fully subsumed by the Solver, was there something about Yeva that made her unable to be corrupted even without the anti-virus?
And yeesh, poor Uzi and N. The two of them are being absolutely put through the ringer in all this. I will say props to N being willing to decapitate who he thought was Tessa if it meant protecting Uzi, she means that much to him, and Uzi in turn willing to give up her life to protect N. But good lord, someone help these two, Uzi is now stuck floating in a freaking black hole, and that's twice now N has had to watch someone he loved sacrifice themselves to save him.

Vegeta: I'm back bitches!I think it's vague if a season 2 will happen. Judging by how this episode went, I'm 50/50.
Speaking of 50/50...man what an episode. Doll is dead, Tessa was a meat puppet, JC Jenson might also be gone, Uzi is floating in space, Nori probably is to, the Solver begun its rampage, and Lizzy, Thad, and Khan are definitely planning something.

He/HimYeah now that was a creepy episode in my opinion right there. Doll is dead, Tessa turns out to be dead the entire time (Or just got killed by N when she tried to murder Uzi) and is a puppet if anything and now freaking Uzi is in a void after the solver dragged her while N barely gets out. That was an intense episode. It's going to be a coaster once the final episode comes out.

I don't want to brag or anything but when it comes to being the worst, I'm always at the top!So is Earth destroyed and all humans dead? Or was it Solver's lies? I'm confused about why solver wants to destroy a planet full of Drones and no humans, if it's beefs seems to be with humans only?
I don't think it ever had beef with humans, that was just the Drones who had issues with us. The Solver seems to want one thing and one thing only: to eat. The Solver kept making references of being "hungry" this episode, and considering the black hole abilities could be analogues to a bottomless stomach, the Solver is more accurately a "demon" that humans tried controlling but had no idea what they were fucking with, and now that its been unleashed will continue to eat and eat.
Vegeta: I'm back bitches!Imagine if the absolute solver is like, the literal devil. And that's what the church stuff this episode was hinting at.
Also...regarding Tessa, for an extra fucked up point? It's wearing Tessa's bow from the flashbacks. Suggesting it might have killed her around that time, when she was a child.
The First manAlso a question, did humans had colonies on other worlds or Copper 9 was humanity's only colony? Since the show indicates that all humans are dead now, since we only see in details the massacre of humanity on Earth and Copper 9.
Depends on what the writers want. If they want to do a plotline with some remaining humans, they will write it so some got out.
The First manThat could be a way to do season 2.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.@ Rebel, regarding the intern, my interpretation is that he grabbed the wrong coat by mistake, him looking back at his jacket made him realise he screwed up.
So, for anyone who hasn't watched the stream, good news and bad news.
Good news, we know when episode 7 and 8 will be coming out, and it's slightly implied it'll be a back-to-back two-parter finale.
Not so good news, "when" means Spring 2024. This does make sense, given they're apparently enormous and seemingly made back to back as mentioned before, but it does sting there's 3 2/3-7 1/3 months left until they come out.
