Kinda shocks me how little crap other Worker Drones give about their own dying. Like, i know it supposed to be a black comedy, but still.
they're teenagers(-coded) and an apathetic teacher, what did you expect?

I kinda interpretted it as a mix of being scarred and having seen it before, followed by the later and the drones coming of as friendly.
He/HimIt's kind of hard to take things seriously when the characters themselves don't bat an eye witnessing murder. Why should I care what happens to them if they don't. The show would be more interesting if Uzi, V and N's cravings and acts of violence were taken had actual consequences
Edit: accidental repeat.

Yep been following this for a while this should be good.
Hello worldWatched every episode so far last night, then watched it all again this morning. I really enjoy how much is recontextualized in the wake of the newest episode. Makes sense that V would be cagey about sharing her memories with N considering that she was used as a puppet during Cyn's initial murder spree and had to sit back and watch her boyfriend get his memory wiped. Probably doesn't like to think about that. Also interesting to learn that the J in the first two episodes was really Cyn.
The story is ramping up quite a bit, so I'm looking forward to the next episode. I wonder how Doll learned about Tessa and established that partnership.
I figured that the second ep one was Cyn but assumed that J was well J in the first ep.
by all accounts the ending feels like the moment where all the heroes of the tale finally meet, or the moment where the heroes meet the antagonists. I'm leaning towards the former however unless it is established that Tessa's parents have stronger hold on her since childhood. Regardless the next ep is gonna be very interesting
Yeah, you're probably right on J.
I mean, Tessa is still working for the company. With the reveals regarding Cyn, it really begs the question what role they played in all of this, and how they ended up using Cyn's "creations?" Notably, during the second epsisode Cyn says her directive is to "repair that host", namely J, which makes me think that maybe JC Jensen ended up getting their hands on Cyn after her initial massacre, covering it up, and attempting to weaponize AS in the long tradition of the catastrophically stupid Scifi MegaCorp. What role Tessa is playing in that is the big question.

My theory is that Cyn was taken captive and dismantled, while her programming was forced into submission by the company.
He/HimNew episode. 8/18/2023
I just finished watching episode 6, this gives me Jurassic Park vibes, and oh boy I did not expect that it ends with the huge cliffhanger as V is seemly committing Heroic Sacrifices while Cyn slowing take over Uzi soft of. Edit: Correcting my post.

“Boom! Boomboom! Boomboomboom! Bakuage Tire! Gogogo!"Man, V's death was really sad. And the fact Uzi just got to truly starting a relationship with N, and is either gonna die to the Solver or to Tessa.
He/Himwell...that escalated quickly.
We've 2 more episodes to go right?

Well, we not sure if they are really dead. We have to wait for two more episodes to see.
“Boom! Boomboom! Boomboomboom! Bakuage Tire! Gogogo!"All I can say without spoilers is that episode 6 was BRUTAL.
@Purgatoryisof2: There's a ray of hope for Uzi, namely that Nori apparently came to her senses at some point after being possessed by the Solver and probably causing the core collapse. My for the remainder of the season is that whatever they find in the basement of the lab gives Tessa a reason to spare Uzi, however it turns out to be too late for Doll, who is fully consumed by the solver, and becomes the final boss of the season, which will end off with Tessa, N, Uzi, and J leaving the planet in search of answers.

V was surrounded, unwilling to fight, and the Sentinels pounced on her. There's merchandise of her depicted as an angelic figure fighting a Sentinel "to the death". Her being revealed to be alive would ruin the emotional moment. And while J did say useful drones would be cloned, given Cyn seems to be in charge of making them, I'm not sure she'd find a rebellious underling with eye problems useful enough to have clones of her. I feel it's about a 99% that V is dead, and the only reason I don't say functionally 100% is because we never see her body.
Wasn't Nori implied to still be infected when she died, and insane either way? I don't think Uzi having to struggle to control herself for the rest of her life (which could be extremely long given she's a drone) and going insane is good.
Also, a thought did pop into my head. How did humanity spread into several star systems, and establish seemingly stable populations, in only a few decades at most?

He/Himmagic
Also honelsy plausible sicne sentient robots are also a thing in the same amount of time (I doubt AI would ever be that advanced for a few centuries)
I'm not talking about technological ability, more so the fact a seemingly tiny amount of Earth's population somehow managed to spread itself across several systems and establish large, functioning societies. Given how sudden Cyn's takeover was made out to be, I doubt anything over 1% could have fled, and they split themselves up between three systems and who knows how many planets. Yet Copper 9 has an enormous city and infrastructure already, and it's the farthest of the human planets.
EDIT: Wait, checked due to someone pointing it out, Tessa simply said the colonists saw what was happening at home. Seems they were there before.

He/HimApparently there's going to be three of those heavenly stands (you can see Uzi's purple wing on the right side of V's), so I'm not sure that's the most accurate gage. Unless all three main characters wind up dying by the end.
