I’d say the action and the animation are impressive, but the humor feels like it was designed for a different series altogether, if that makes sense. It just doesn’t feel completely at home in the series.
“Now! Let us engage in the art of deduction!”Yeah, the humor is definitely the weakest point, though the jokes that do land aren't half bad. That's been the most consistent criticism of the pilot, so hopefully they'll dial back the meta stuff (like lampshading the Heel–Face Turn trope by name) going forwards.
Meta jokes seem to be a stable of Liam Vickers as his other two works both have them but I think they were a bit less prominent in them.
Meanwhile, the Yandere Murder Waifu dynamic is a lot less prominent here compared to his earlier work, at least so far, with V haivng no interest in N (or anything besides killing), and the pilot focusing more on company woman J and punch clock vampire/xenomorph/terminator Husbando N.
Speaking of which, Uzi is totally infected with Disassembly Drone nanites, and V is going to join the team after the company desinates their entire squad as traitors.

I never really saw any yandere characters in Liam's older works, the closest would have been Cordie in Cliffside but that seemed more like a harmless crush than anything.
I more meant, the "childish, Cute and Psycho" girl with a crush on the main character, so Cordie from Cliffside and Ic0n (and possibly also Kirie) from InternecionCube, so far V has really only shown the "psycho" part of that.

I've been interested in the concept of this. It does feel like it should go in a horror direction, and I'm fine with the teaser giving us that vibe. It also feels like a bit of a parody at the same time (give that the murder drones have a lot of vampire/harpy tropes to them). That said, I agree the humour is a bit weak right now. But the concept, animation and special effects definitely appeal.
Just a small personal observation that tickled me about the teaser. They synch'd "this is all new territory for us" to Uzi telling her Dad to get out of the way so she could shoot N. I'm not sure why that tickles me so much, but it's been a weird day for me.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.New trailer for episode 2 which will be released November 18.
Really leaning into the horror.
Not sure the dialogue was the best for a trailer, but the visuals are looking very good.

Liam really seems to have a talent for horror.

Yeah wow. That threw a lot of what we thought we knew out the window. What even...Where to start.
SO yeah, that dream from N seems to confirm the Murder Drones were Once Worker Drones. Based on the dialogue of the shadow people, it seems like this "Tessa" kid was going to the dump, retrieving worker drones (N, J, V, and one other unnamed worker drone), and repurposing them as servants. How they were converted into Disassembly Drones has yet to be even hinted at, but it probably involves "Absolute Solver." The moon we see in the sky above that mansion is Earth's moon, so I assume that was taking place on Earth. That raises the question of whether the other stuff in the trailer that show that location are just more flashbacks, or if Uzi and co actually make it to Earth.
The rest of the trailer, including Uzi in a dress, seems to come from that "party" Thad invited Uzi and N to.

Here's something interesting, Kevin Temmer, former Bluesky animator, will be a lead animator in Murder Drones.
Was real suprised when that showed up in my notifications. I was literally thinking of that show on the same day as well!
Literally every problem with Capitalism is Inherent in the SystemNew video talking about the future of Glitch and the next episode, which airs the 17th of next month
Pic from the upcoming episode. Dressed to kill.
Episode 3: The Promening!
Well I'm hooked.
I have a feeling Doll would become a neutral figure in the future, and that she knows a lot more about the Solver program than Uzi and the audience (which granted makes sense, she is more experienced with the abilities)
Also I kinda think like there is some influence from The Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer, as both works deal with a female protagonist seeking to destroy the earth due to personal problems AFAIK.
Ayyy, episode 3! So far every episode they've done has been fire.
I love how the fact of J being alive again has been totally overshadowed by the appearence of a flesh and blood human character from the company.
This Josses a lot of theories floating around about whether the state of affairs off of Copper 9 was really the way Uzi described it in her opening exposition, and whether JC Jenson was really behind the Murder Drones.

New trailer. Episode 4 drops 4/7.
That was fast.
Episode 4 is out. And booooy is it a doozy.
A new 3D animated series by Glitch Productions and Liam Vickers about "cute little robots that murder eachother for reasons", to quote creator Liam Vickers of Cliffside and InternecionCube fame.
All I have to say is color me impressed. The art direction, animation, and overall quaity of this pilot is Vastly Better than anything else Glitch has on their channel. It honestly blows Monty era RWBY out of the water in terms of the production value of non-action scenes, despite Glitch being significantly smaller than Rooster Teeth was back then. This is one to watch carefully, IMO, there's some huge potential here.
