I'm really loving how the Imposter Syndrome had a twist to the classic Sonic rival as Surge and Kit actually being cyborgs that were kidnapped by Starline to be really interesting! I can't wait to see where Surge and Kit goes after this!
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!The Game Apologist looks at the controversy surrounding as an artist accusing IDW of ripping of their comic, Boing Kid, to make the IDW Sonic character Belle. Game Apologist himself looks at the first two issues of Boing Kid to see if there is any truth to these claims. Video is 25 minutes. He concludes that Belle is not a ripoff and ironically points out that the comic itself is the one doing ripoffs, particularly of Disney properties.

Just saw the video and I agree with everything he said. It's sad that the creator of Boing Kid was willing to stoop so low to blame IDW for copying his creation when that wasn't the case at all and I'm not surprised at how the Sonic fanbase reacted to these claims. I probably would have read these Boing Kid comics if it wasn't for the creator's actions.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Its fairly difficult to find information on this 'Boing Kid' comic through Google for some reason
New theme music also a boxHave you typed in Niv Entertainment? That might narrow things down a bit.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Trying that now, that seems to work
New theme music also a boxFound anymore information about the Boing Kid comics?
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Hmmm,I've found a few images and a facebook page, but not a lot of detailed information that would be useful as research
New theme music also a boxHow can Niv Entertainment expect us to read their material if they don't put enough effort into promoting their products instead of spending all of their time on taking down other popular properties?

Ah yes, the Hydrocity issue. Can't believe that is a thing!

I really enjoyed this video. I like how Game Apologist took apart the philosophies of each character and actually tackled the debacle about Sonic's portrayal in this issue. Honestly, while I do get a bit annoyed with some Sonic fans constantly complaining about this comic book series, I do get some of their frustrations, especially if some of them grew up with a different take on Sonic. Like for example, I grew up with the 90s and Adventure era portrayals of Sonic, so I do tend to think of Sonic as being characterized like in those eras. However, I'm mostly okay with how Sonic is being portrayed in IDW because at least there's some depth to his character, which was something we haven't seen in the recent games for years. Only time will tell if Sonic Frontiers will change all that.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Game Apologist has recently reviewed issue 51 of the IDW Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series and he seems to really enjoy this issue. I do like the fact that we are getting call backs to Sonic Satam and it's interesting that Sonic gets injured in this issue as it's rare that we see Sonic get injured anytime during the series.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Game Apologist just made a video on the many mangas of Klonoa. He talks about how each manga were very different from the source material and they were all pretty interesting because of it. As someone who has never played the Klonoa games, I am interested in seeing how these mangas pan out.

I really enjoyed the Eggman/Robotnik video. As someone who grew up with the name Robotnik, I always associated Sonic's greatest foe with Robotnik. However, over the years, I started to accept the name Eggman as well and I loved the fact that SEGA managed to compromise between the two names and have them relevant to the Mad Doctor's character.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Game Apologist discusses about the obscure Sonic the Hedgehog spinoff Tails' Skypatrol and the weird history behind it. I was actually surprised that he tackled this game because it is one of those Sonic games that's not that well known due to having a limited release.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Game Apologist discusses about the latest Tails 30th Anniversary comic. I was surprised that the comic brought back Witchcart, since she hasn't been seen in the franchise since Tails' Sky Patrol. I hope that IDW continues to bring in more obscure characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Game Apologist finally tackles Archie Comics' first introduction of Knuckles the Echidna into the series. I remembered I used to read the Archie Sonic the Hedgehog comics all the time as a kid and I was curious about how they would translate Sonic 3 and Knuckles into the comics.
