Like I said, recasting Xavier would mean they don't have to change whatever they're writing next that much if they do.
Steve Buscemi has been cast as the New Headmaster in Season 2.

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadI thought Anjelica Huston was playing the new Headmistress. Whatever role they got Steve Buscemi playing though, I'm definitely interested.
Can't lose when you cast Steve Buscemi! Looking forward to it.
You and I remember Budapest very differentlyThe new headmaster is Cousin It.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult....I would unironically love Headmaster Itt played by Steve Buscemi.
Hey, if Snoop Dogg can play him, why not?

Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonThey made a Wednesday themed edition of Clue.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadKind of surprised they didn't have Tyler as one of the playable characters since he's an actually killer. Haha.
I was shocked when it turned out that Tyler was the killer all along. I do wonder how they will tackle the romantic subplot in season 2, since that was something that most people didn't like about the show.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!What is certain is that they are going to abandon it.
Overall, romantic subplots don't work with a character like Wednesday.

I mean Jenna (who is a producer) said no more romance subplots (she is very vocal about thinking that it didn't fit with the character).
I think it was to keep the mystery of who it is clear each game.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. That is great additions.
Well, they released a cast photo on Instagram and Percy is not among the cast. So, I think it is safe to say that he will not be in season 2.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadMy guess is that Tyler escaped and killed him.
I made a folder on the show page for the cast.
I’m guessing we get the show late this year/early next year?

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Or Wednesday's stalker could've killed Xavier instead. Or they reveal he was her stalker and that's why he's not around anymore. That last one's probably a little too on the nose though. Haha.
I don't mind romantic subplots on principle—and yeah, the romances in the first season did admittedly feel obligatory. That said, if they want to try pulling back significantly on the romance aspects so as to keep the focus on both the characters and stories/mysteries, that's perfectly alright.
On a sadder note. Yoko appears to have also been dropped which is a shame as she was quite popular despite her limited screentime.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadI'm still surprised that she didn't end up being a bigger character to begin with given she was the vampire.
Deadline has an article in the departing cast members: https://deadline.com/2024/05/wednesday-percy-hynes-white-jamie-mcshane-naomi-j-ogawa-exit-series-regulars-season-2-1235906885/
You would think the fix for having a popular character who didn't get much screentime would be to give them more screentime and not just write them off.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadHow bad, I expected to see more from Yoko and Divina's relationship in the second season.
Eh, she was mostly just "that other character in the background".
The fact that she had less and less to do in the first season meant the writers weren't focusing on her. And given that season 2 seems to be shedding some of the school stuff for more Addams family stuff, suddenly pushing her into the spotlight would have been weird.
I mean like she is incredibly popular despite her short screen time which you would think would mean they would try to keep her.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadI mean, by what metric?
Cause she clearly wasn't that popular with the writers. Not to mention that just because fans really like a character doesnt actually mean they would like more of them.
There are countless examples of popular characters who had an unexpected fanbase, were given a bigger role and then turned out not to be quite fit for more screentime.
Half joking.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.
