Checking twitter, I think you bit overly simplified what happened, either way majorly sucks

Suede is right though; if Youtube allowed every account to use Geoblocking, it wouldn't have been an issue. What he does IS fair use where he lives and in America. It's just Japan where it's not.

I've heard of Suede but I don't remember watching any of his stuff, even when I was into Channel Awesome. Maybe I saw him in one of those company-wide crossovers but I was mostly into Linkara, SF Debris, Nostalgia Chick, and "What The Fuck Is Wrong With You". Still, I'm sorry to hear that about him.

...What's the problem with reaction videos?

Oh, and Very? You still have the "THE Cool Old Guy" title.

[up][up]What's the less simplified version?

[up][up]No, I think that's Pierrot. They're also in charge of Bleach, Yu Yu Hakusho, Black Clover, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, and Tokyo Ghoul.

If you're thinking of the Naruto movies, then, yes.

Man, Woolie aired himself watching multiple episodes of Shippuden as actual parts of his Ultimate Ninja Storm playthroughs, and only one or two of those videos got blocked. This is nothing.

It's honestly surprising that geoblocking isn't available to everyone, not just big companies, the fact that Youtube had to manually geoblock Mark's videos in Japan is a bit ridiculous.

Also, the fact that Japanese copyright law doesn't recognize fair use is lunacy.

[up] The US and the rest of the Anglosphere are actually somewhat exceptions when it comes to fair use. First, in common-law countries, the system used by the UK and many of its former colonies, the deference to precedent makes it easier for judges to decide which breaches of copyright are reasonable and which are not. Second, in the US, exemptions are even easier to find since the First Amendment protection of free speech is generally held to apply to the use of copyrighted work without permission to comment on it.

Since Japan uses a civil law system, exemptions to copyright laws have to be clearly indicated in the law to be invoked. Japan and many other civil law countries also have the moral copyright provisions, in which the author retains the right to control how their work is used by others, even if the right to demand financial compensation has been waived.

All his thumbnails say is that it's a review of whatever series...unless the video is a character analysis (then it'll say that).

It tells you exactly what you're getting.

Clickbait is an unflattering image or headlining a quote that sounds off out of context.

The next couple weeks, in preparation for The Batman (2022), Mark will be covering all of Batman's theatrically released live action movies.

This week: Batman (1966) and the Batman Film Series.

Next week: Catwoman (2004) (oh sweet god that'll be painful), The Dark Knight Trilogy, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Joker (2019), and Zack Snyder's Justice League (by his Discord's request).

Change of plans. This week's video is just The Dark Knight Trilogy (and Catwoman (2004)).

Next week's video are all the other movies I mentioned as well as The Batman (2022).

Mark dives into the first couple of chapters of Chainsaw Man. So far, its atypical approach to the shonen battle genre, intriguing character dynamics, and author's background have enraptured Mark's time.

Synopsis:

Did the Bardock and Dragon Ball Super just ruin Dragon Ball? Ruined or not, this is delicate situation Dragon Ball is facing. I've loved Dragon Ball for about as long as I can remember but and I've always been able to look back on early Dragon Ball as something that will always be there. Remaining unaffected by the changing modern landscape of Toyotaro and Toriyama as they march into Dragon Ball Super's Granola arc.

But today... today it's different.
