Fixing Hip-Hop

Hey there,

I've been a fan of this site for years but have never posted or edited. I particularly like the Useful Notes pages and other "meta" pages explaining concepts or history behind types of media, creators etc. I'm also a massive fan of hip-hop and rap music.

I'm disappointed at the state of the Hip-Hop page. It's in a poor state, filled with insignificant artists and lacking pages on essential sub-genres. I've also noticed that some pages include self-promotion from amateur artists.

My goal is to make a series of pages that properly document and describe hip-hop in a manner deserving of the genre. The example that I will be working from is The Ages Of Superhero Comics; a detailed yet readable account of the most important works and creators from each period of time.

If anyone has any advice, suggestions or general tips I'd be more than happy to hear them.
