UsefulNotes/TheNewTwenties unnecessary detail cleanup

As the title says, The New Twenties is meant to be the Useful Notes page for the years 2020-2029.

However, it has drawn a lot of stuff like the following:

• Politically, Donald Trump had entered the new decade as the third United States president to be impeached, following accusations of soliciting foreign interference from Ukraine to influence the 2020 presidential election in his favor, and was the first to run for re-election regardless. As was the case in prior impeachment trials, Trump was acquitted on all charges. ^note The first impeachment of a US President occurred with Andrew Johnson in 1868 due to his violation of the Tenure of Office Act; the Senate trial failed to remove him from office by one vote, but he was so politically weakened that he didn't run for re-election. Richard Nixon faced a strong likelihood of being impeached and convicted due to his role in the 1972 Watergate Scandal, but resigned in 1974 before any vote had taken place and was pardoned by his successor shortly after. Bill Clinton was impeached in 1998 due to his role in the Jones v. Clinton sexual harassment case and the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal, was acquitted at the Senate trial in 1999, and was already in the middle of his second term, preventing him from seeking re-election as per the 22nd Amendment of the United States Constitution. The impeachment did, however, serve as a factor in the 2000 election of George W. Bush over Al Gore, Clinton's vice president. The vote was mostly along party lines, with Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) being the sole exception (and rather notably, the first member of any US political party to vote for the impeachment of a sitting President who was also a member of their own party).
• The Democratic Party's campaign for the 2020 elections began disastrously with the February 3 Iowa caucus, as the app that was supposed to tally the results encountered technical issues, leading to massive chaos in the assemblies and a 12-hour delay in the counting of results. In the end, former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg narrowly led Senator Bernie Sanders, with many Sanders supporters crying foul. Data slowly trickled out over a few days. Sanders was poised to overtake Buttigieg, when DNC Chairman Tom Perez ordered a recount and review of all proceedings and paperwork.
  • Sanders would go on to win the New Hampshire primary and the Nevada caucus, but would be overcome by a resurgent Joe Biden in South Carolina. Biden would take this momentum (as well as the endorsements of Buttigieg and Senator Amy Klobuchar, who subsequently dropped out of the race) to walk away the big winner on Super Tuesday. Biden would continue to push ahead, ultimately leading to Sanders, as the last of his opponents within his own party, suspending his campaign on April 8. This left Biden the man to challenge Donald Trump for the presidency in November.
  • In spring 2020, just after Joe Biden secured his presidential nomination for the Democratic party, a former Biden aide, Tara Reade, accused Biden of sexual harassment and assault that occurred during her employment with him in the Nineties. Biden himself denied the allegations, but the Republican Party used the sexual harassment and assault allegations to damage Biden's reputation in order to secure the re-election of Donald Trump and to win over female voters. This in turn has led to accusations of hypocrisy against the GOP for its own less-than-stellar track record on combating sexual assault, given Trump's own history of being accused of harassing multiple women.

Most of this is relatively unimportant in the grand scheme of things 2020-2029. Information of this level of detail is really more appropriate for Wikipedia.

All the decade Useful Notes pages have this issue. The '90s was pretty bad too last I checked. I think we need a dedicated cleanup effort for all the decade Useful Notes pages.

As I've been saying for about a year now: The New 20's page should never have been made this early. It's only caused trouble.

Personally, I'm surprised that nobody had updated it for months. Like it stopped mid-way into summer.

By now, Donald Trump is the election loser and Joe Biden is now the 46th President. Oh and there was the Jan 6 Insurrection Attempt of 2021.

I think it was locked around that time. I don't really disagree with the idea that folks were jumping the gun in creating it.

Since The New '20s has been cut along with its UN page, should we morgue this?

Well, the Useful Notes page has been cut and not the Main/ one, but yes - this thread was about the Useful Notes page.
