Here's the new theme song.
That's gone as well.
They didn't reuse "Leave It All to Me"?
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."They did. The exact same song, not even a re-recording.
I'm okay with that, actually.
Honestly the only thing I'm hoping is that Noah Munck makes at least a one-episode return. I know Jenette McCurdy quit acting altogether (and I never liked Sam anyway), but I don't think I've heard any conclusive reason why Gibby shouldn't return. Not even from Munck himself.

"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."I still don't think the show will be the same without Sam. Sam, love or hate her, is what made Carly and Freddie interesting. Them on their own just won't be the same. I think I said it before, but it would be like bringing back Victorious without the whole gang. Each one, besides Beck, brought something to the show that could not be replaced. I feel the same way about Sam not being here.
By the way, do you think the in-universe reason she's not there is that she is still living with Cat?
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadIt could work. Or she could just have her own things going on.
As long as she doesn't go to jail or something...
Wake me up at your own risk.I wouldn't be surprised if Sam did go to jail.
They're not gonna reveal a classic character had a terrible fate offscreen unless the actor dies or something. They're gonna say she's babysitting with cat still.
Like how on fuller house, Michelle was running a fashion empire because the Olson's didn't want to come back.
Sam was a terrible human being so I wouldn't be sad if some karma hit her offscreen.
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."As long as they don't accidentally make it look like a jab against Jeannette, it'll be fine, I guess.
Wake me up at your own risk.McCurdy would probably be extremely relieved to see her character killed off or sent away for a long, long time, considering how much she apparently hated her time on the original show.
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."I would prefer they not have a character who had years to develop just end up in jail offscreen. I would prefer they say she is still living with Cat.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadYeah, that's something you only do if you hate the actor, like Pierce on community. Otherwise you leave your options as open as possible in case an actor changes their mind or something.
Did Sam actually develop in any significant way? From what I could tell, despite some apparent shots at "character development", she never actually stopped being a selfish, abusive bitch.
Admittedly I didn't watch Sam & Cat because it featured my two least favorite characters from both of those shows put together. I don't know if she's at the very least slightly more tolerable there.
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."I mean regardless of it is done well. If you play a character for years they are going to develop. Sam and Cat had the character show a much softer and caring side towards Cat. The two kind balanced each other out in an odd way. It's not much, but it's there.
By comparison Carly I didn't find developed at all. Which is weird for the main character.

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadCarly was kind of bland but I feel that was kinda the point.
In any case we all know Spencer stole the show in every episode, anyway.
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."Oh no doubt. Spencer was always great.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadThe iCarly reunion special is on You Tube for the moment.
So, there will apparently be some sexual situations in the revival. It's not too gratuitous, but still something.
Hearing Spencer talking about "sexual situations" is throwing me for a loop a bit. I wonder what wacky sex comedy antics he might get into.
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."Honestly the idea of Spencer as a playboy type isn't that weird with the old show honestly.
Just more like confirmed.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."I see him more as a failed playboy at best, considering how much of a total goofball he is.
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."Spencer got, like, a lot of dates on the original show. he just blew it due to his own personality failings. This tracks.
The last episode of that show had Sam lie, allowing Cat to remain in police custody when the matter could have clear up quicker. Even acknowledging her being soft on Cat, Sam has moments off being blatantly manipulative in regards to her. Honestly, the biggest difference between both shows is probably the fact Sam didn't have a designated "punching bug" in Sam and Cat.
"Aaaand it's gone!"
