The revival is now coming in the summer. Season 1 is 13 episodes. We also have our new 2 cast members. Laci Mosley and Jaidyn Triplett are Harper and Millicent.

This is moving qlong nicely. I'm kind of excited. Little blast from the past with a dash of something new.
I want to see how they age up a kid's show. Girl Meets World... was hit and miss. Samurai Jack was fun.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Girl Meets World was very much still a kids show, even kiddier than the original, honestly. No matter how the revival goes, it won't be that.
I am hoping this does well. Not just because I am excited for it. But also because I am hoping this might lead to a Victorious revival.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadWould any of the Victorious actors even want to come back?
I mean they just got together for the anniversary last year, and have been open to it when asked.
I mean if you have asked me before this if the iCarly cast would be willing to. My answer would be the same.... Maybe.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadWell Sam's actor seems to regard her acting time as an Old Shame, so who knows.
The iCarly revival is coming to Paramount Plus in June.
Honestly, Sam struck me as irredeemable when it was revealed that she ruined Freddy's chance of getting into a good college, just because he didn't tell her what time it was.
So I'm partly glad that she doesn't come back.
One could say that Sam as a whole is a character struck with Values Dissonance given how she was so much of a bully she's barely better than a villain.
I feel like beating people up was considered wrong in 2008, too.
The hitting is even forgivable, because it can be considered "tsundere comedy."
But the university thing is unforgivable.
Also, Principal Franklin will be coming back, according to Tim Russ. https://twitter.com/timruss2/status/1381350485416767488?s=19
He was not the character I expected to return, I'll say that much.
This still feels so unreal. Who'd have thought this show would be revived. I guess it's not uncommon - Full House, Roseanne, Will and Grace, Gilmore Girls, and Boy Meets World all got revivals.
But this is the first and so far only Nick live-action show I know of to do that. No Zoey 101 or Drake and Josh rev... ohhhhh hooo imagine if there was a D and J revival.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).I just really hope this does well. Mainly because I want a Victorious revival.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadWait, is Schneider not involved? That's reassuring. Though Jeannette's extreme discomfort working on the show is... not reassuring.
(I actually met her when I visited Nick at Sunset as a kid. She was a doll. I hope they didn't fuck her up badly given Nick's bad track record with kid stars.)
Not a fan of how the article seems to imply it's gonna focus more on their love lives given that I hated that part of the original show.
Can they even do iCarly now? The culture around web content is very different nowadays and kids making their own web show isn't so bizarre anymore. Are these new kid characters gonna be doing a web show instead, and is it gonna be more akin to YouTube vloggers or TikTok or something? Is the "LOL so random" comedy that defined the mid-2000s gonna return, or are they gonna try to "update" it?
Overall, I really don't think this is suited for a revival... but I'm curious how the fuck they can pull it off.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I think Disney even tried to do a few iCarly copycats but they failed to catch on.
Ah yes, Bizaardvark. I don't like to declare They Copied It, So It Sucks! but the only clip I ever saw of that show was extremely reminiscent of the "Baby Spencer" sketches.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Carly likely would have a fair bit to say about how things have changed. Wonder how she'll see her old show now that she grew up.

Wake me up at your own risk.I got to admit I feel like the show is going to miss something without Sam. Carly and Freddy are just not the most interesting characters on their own, and each had a dynamic with Sam that worked. It just feels like it will miss something, and the magic will be gone.
It would be like making a revival of Victorious but with out the whole group of friend's. All of them, besides Beck, added to the dynamic which makes it work. Take one out and you make the whole less interesting.

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadThe iCarly revival comes out June 17.

Also, Freddie's mom, Nora, and Nevel are all confirmed to return. https://ew.com/tv/icarly-revival-premiere-date-set-photos-miranda-cosgrove/
The article above goes into a lot of detail about the show's general premise.
So everyone but Sam and maybe Gibby is coming back.
