  • Name: Ashura
  • Appearance: The Scarlet Strife
  • Setting: Monster Strike
  • Powers/Abilities:
    • Fire Power: Ashura is an individual of incredibly intense passions, her very anger alone able to heat space a dozen feet around herself to oven like temperature and ignite more flammable materials by presend alone. Likewise she can actively emit flames from any part of her body or take a few seconds to concentrate them down to denser balls of superheated plasma that can melt through steel beams. Understandably she is heavily fire resistant herself though powerful enough sources can burn even her such as lava or a lightsaber.

    • Might and Mysticism: Learned in both ritual magics as well as warfare, Ashura is a fearsome foe in battle just as she is a stern but fair teacher to those attempt to learn the secrets heavenly arts from her. Spiritual entities can be harmed through physical violence after chanting mudras and even the divine immortals might be killed through glorious mortal combat if they accept her invitation to a duel.
    • Ashura Physiology: Born of the holy Pāricchattaka tree, her somewhat mechanical nature allows for more hardiness and strength than her small size would indicate, given she can directly take small arms fire with only scratch damage and can punch through brick walls. Surprisingly she is waterproof to the point of bring able to walk on the seafloor while bring sale to endure the temperatures and water pressure as well as vacuum of space capable.
    • Ashura Items: She can see through the eye holes of the two masks she wears on the sides of her head granting 360° vision at all times unless they are destroyed and she can summon four large wooden arms armed with various medieval era weapons that she can use with sextuple ambidexterity.
  • Backstory: She's a very angry lady that has quite the beef with the Hindu and Buddhist pantheon for kicking her people out of their homeland for drunken misconduct. Since then she's engaged in enough conflicts against Heaven and her own fractured clans to be termed a veteran of a hundred mortal lifetimes. Due to Taishakuten being a mediating voice of reason though, Ashura had semi-retired now that the conflicts were a lot less intense than before. It was during this listless period of her life that she got taken to a new realm...
  • Role In The City: Mercenary for Hire, Militia Instructor, Self Defense Teacher
  • Other Things Of Note: She's a very bad drunk if strong alcohol gets into her so she attempts to be a teetotaler considering the drunken revelry incident that resulted in their being kicked off of Mt. Sumeru to begin with. She's also a tsundere.

Name:

Appearance: Merciful Goddess, pictured here with glasses. Has been rumored to appear as this occasionally. Imagine the unincluded facial features, I didn't direct the game's art style.

Setting: Brave Frontier

Powers/Abilities:

  • Divine Healing: As a human, Elimo was known as "The Blue Sorceress", and later "The Leviathan Sage", for her proficiency with a long-lost form of healing magic - which, she discovered by speaking to the gods, was divine in origin. This proficiency has only increased with her ascension to godhood, allowing her to provide defense boosts and elemental barriers in combat and boosts to general health outside of it. At its full power, she can even restore others' magic reserves, though this result can vary greatly in its execution. However, this has restrictions, as she cannot heal any serious injury when it has been inflicted by a god or a creature of similar power regardless of her current status. Basically, she can't fix divinely inflicted amputations, plagues, or similar. By simple virtue of her divinity, Elimo can increase the durability of people around her and possibly reduce the damage they take, though see below for why its effects may vary.

  • General Divinity: As a goddess, Elimo reaps all the typical benefits of divinity: immortality, agelessness, paying bills, blah blah. Curiously, this does not seem to be constant, as she has been seen surreptitiously buying things like food.

  • Goddess of Wisdom: Basically what it says. Can instantly recall any bit of knowledge she has obtained, no matter how trivial.

Backstory: In the world of Grand Gaia, possibility is a force far greater than the gods. For those of sufficient power, pivotal moments and choices create echoes in the cosmos, creating instances of what might have been - for example, what if a palace guard had protected an emperor instead of slaying him, or if a noble knight of flame had become a simple hunter? In one of these possibilities, the noble girl Elimo had agreed to join the gods when asked, and became a goddess of wisdom adept in the healing arts. This goddess adopted the title of Salacia Persei, but kept her human name, and investigated a curious tear in space-time one day on the basis that wisdom was gained through exploration as well as studying and practice. After ending up in Concordia, she decided to set up a clinic in Zone 5, reasoning that caring for the downtrodden was her duty even if it wasn't her domain.

Personality: Elimo is kind to a fault and willing to help the injured whenever possible. Recently, she has ceased the usual wandering-the-streets-and-providing-aid-and-wisdom-wherever-needed shtick, officially because people recognizing her wherever she went was getting too embarrassing. Is not the best judge of character, whether or not her kindness blinds her to it. Usually very calm, though she has a fiery streak when the topic of conversation is the abuse of power by authority, which might explain why she doesn't hang out in the upper zones much anymore.

Other Things Of Note:

  • Runs a makeshift clinic out of an unused room in her house on a pay-what-you-can basis in Zone 5, with all necessary doors locked or otherwise barred, raising the question of why exactly a goddess needs a stable source of income.

  • Denies that her inherent divinity grants her any holiness whatsoever or is connected to it in any way. For these reasons, the magic she commands is probably not holy, but no one has ever asked. Also doesn't like being prayed to or worshipped in general, but understands that gods work different ways in different worlds and tolerates it.

  • Purposefully damaging a device from which people gain knowledge in her presence is, for obvious reasons, a bad idea.

  • Name: Lin Xue Ya, The Enigmatic Gale; Alias: Gui Niao
  • Appearance: Subterfuge is not always about lurking in the darkness / Some shadows remain hidden in the light / A hair's breadth separates truth from lies / And none shall gaze beyond the illusion to see my true face
  • Setting: Thunderbolt Fantasy
  • Powers/Abilities:
    • Wuxia Swordsmanship: Although he is loathe to reveal this talent to anyone unless it is absolutely necessary or the alternative would be something he truly hates, like giving up control of his body or mind, Xue Ya was the best and most skilled swordsman in the wuxia-filled land of Dong-Li. He favors curved, one-handed blades such as his transforming pipe, Yan Yue, and is able to enhance the strength and speed of his blows to superhuman levels via sorcery or ki manipulation, allowing him to match enhanced strikes from similar combatants that would crater the ground while taking no apparent damage himself, though he states that using his maximum strength to match powerful blow after powerful blow is exhausting. He also knows how to use his sword to defend himself against enemies who spam teleportation. With several seconds of charging time, he can use his magic swordsmanship to unleash a close-range special attack called White Heavens: Evanescent Moon Haze, which is sufficient to counter and deflect a similar "super attack" from a similarly superhuman opponent.

    • Illusion Magic (Blaze It Edition): Xue Ya is able to cast illusions via smoking a pipe; anyone who breathes in smoke he thusly creates is susceptible to his illusions, which he can manipulate at will, which can fool all the ordinary senses, and which can hide things as well as make things seem to be where they are not. He also knows a bit of magic to automatically light his pipe, and can somewhat control the movement of smoke from his pipe within a fairly short distance of himself. However, his illusions only persist while he is nearby, and can be seen through by suitable abilities and artifacts, such as illusion-piercing glasses or Leonardo Watch's All-Seeing Eyes.

    • Master Thief: As it is his primary profession and true calling, Xue Ya is an exceptional thief, not only mastering such skills as sleight of hand, pickpocketing, stealthy movement, lockpicking, safecracking, and so on, but also a consummate liar and manipulator, able to tell the truth while still misleading. Naturally, as a master thief, he is additionally a master of disguise and is able to easily pretend to be a variety of roles, although rather than keeping an exceptionally large wardrobe of costumes, he tends to make use of his illusions and magical disguise bags (see Item Crafting) to conceal his looks when he needs to. Furthermore, excellent coordination, athletic ability, and ki-enhanced strength allows him to easily make a twelve-foot vertical leap or perform other acrobatic feats, such as parkour or running across a rope capable of holding his weight.

    • Magical Item Crafting and Forgery: With the help of a particular teacher, Xue Ya also became skilled in the crafting of simple magical artifacts and in forgery, both of items and handwriting. He only needs to hold an object in his hands for a few seconds in order to later create an exactingly convincing replica of it. Naturally, he requires sufficient time and materials to craft or forge something, and he cannot replicate complex enchantments. His current stock of magical items is as follows:
      • Yan Yue, his favored pipe, which can transform into a one-handed sword, lockpicking tools, or a long chain, and is exceptionally durable.
      • Two Magical Disguise Bags, white drawstring bags the size of a man's head, that when placed over the head alter the appearance of the wearer's head and the sound of their voice to a preset disguise, which can be altered by re-enchanting the bag.
      • A Magical Long-Range Communications Device, which looks like a nendoroid small, hand-held statue of Xue Ya and allows communication with him from anywhere within the same plane of existence.

  • Backstory: Once upon a time, there was a man who mastered the sword. However, eventually he realized that the path of the sword did not lead to the summit of a mountain, but was more like delving into the depths of a bottomless ocean. Furthermore, he realized that if he continued down that path, his skill would give birth to a blade for felling villains, and he found that notion boring. He did not believe in removing evil from the world; far better to make a mockery and laughingstock of it. It was then that he had an epiphany: deception and lies were what truly reigned supreme in his soul!

Therefore, he dedicated all his considerable talents to becoming an illusionist and master thief - but the good-hearted were too easy and boring to steal from, so he focused his efforts solely on pilfering from villains. Although he certainly stole their valuables, it was not the material wealth of evildoers he was truly after, however. Instead, he aimed to steal what was most precious to them, their pride, relationships, and worth as people. He seduced a heinous demoness necromancer, then destroyed her friendship with her closest ally, mocked her for ever thinking she could be loved, and orchestrated the torching of her home. He hired a famous and reviled assassin, convinced the killer he could reform himself as a legitimate swordsman in a tournament, then tainted his reputation further by framing him for the murder of the other contestants, forced him to kill his own teacher and surrogate father, and mocked him for thinking a murderer like himself could ever be redeemed. And so on and so forth, until he had accumulated a great many enemies in the underworld and in the ruling class of his feudal society, and had become feared across the land as a peerless phantom thief: Lin Xue Ya, The Enigmatic Gale.

One day, he hassled a man about taking an umbrella that was covering a Buddha statue in a dilapidated roadside shrine, manipulated him and several others into a quest to defeat a powerful lord of bandits, and through his association with the man went on many more adventures and came across many more villains to sate his demented tastes. But that is a tale for another time. What is relevant to us is that it has been about ten years since he fell through a Leak into the Ship, and soon enough the Enigmatic Gale rose to notoriety as a thief once more, though as he is a master of disguise, there are countless rumors as to his appearance and precious few know what he truly looks like.
  • Role In The City: Lin Xue Ya, also known as The Enigmatic Gale, is a famed phantom thief. It is said that if he sets his sights on your treasure, nothing can stop him from taking it. Unconfirmed rumors say that he makes his home somewhere in the labyrinthine maze that are The Dappled Passages in the lower part of Zone 5. Coincidentally, an underworld information broker named Gui Niao lives in the same area, with a reputation for having both fairly reasonable prices and usually accurate intel.
  • Other Things Of Note: He has some really good snuff, man.

Yes, we are still open. Power levels are generally not important, but please keep things reasonable - characters with too much raw destructive power, like DBZ characters, aren't generally suitable. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Name: Briya Cadore

Appearance: In her 20s. Is a human. 5'8"

Image

The robe color and style is what is seen in the image. A green long sleeved hooded robe. Robe length is almost touching the ground when standing up. The hood is always up and eternally hides her entire face in darkness (How does she see? No one knows). She wears a dark green vest over her robe which hides a bulletproof vest. Her belt holds various things. Wears an army helmet over her hood. Wears combat boots and IS in fact wearing pants and a long sleeve shirt under the robe, but it's hard to tell as those are the same color as her robe.

Setting: Magicka

Powers/Abilities: Magicka magic.

Take 8 elements and combine those in various ways up to 5 total per combo/spell. Spells are just the right combos. There are opposite elements and depending on how/what is cast, different things happen. Gear can affect this depending on what she equips. She can be hurt by her magic just as much as her enemies. And friendly fire is on permanently!

Her spells are diverse... but require the exact combo of elements otherwise it won't work!

With her intelligence, she has created new spells... most of which have unwanted things that happen when cast the wrong way, too fast, and many many more conditions...

Has a fairy that will revive her and her allies (if applicable) if she/the party dies, can cast revive (spell) to bring fairy back. Will always revive Briya if party revive is applicable. Normally hides in her hood.

Skills: Good strategist due to being a war wet. And experienced fighter and adventurer. Is a glass cannon basically. Being a magicka wizard counts, as she has survived longer than most other wizards. Knows enough common languages to get by in different worlds, as she has traveled to other worlds and universes before. Master of working with chaos and insanity. Beware of old magicka wizards...

Equipment: Two pistols on her belt and ammo.(In case one breaks).

Her standard "Staff" is a sniper rifle, with her right hand weapon being a semiautomatic rifle. She has a bag that has a shoulder strap and has no limit as to what it can carry (No, she does NOT carry nukes in her bag! She IS sane enough to know this is a very bad idea!). Yes it's indestructible given the nature of magicka wizards. Said bag is bound to her and carries everything she has. What she wears will most often affect her stats.

Her belt also holds other various items for utility, including a knife and grenades (Which are made to work with her magic. What robe she wears can also affect her magic/other things. Her default robe (Vest one) does not have any magical advantages or disadvantages, but offers some protection against bullets and projectiles.

She might change her gear based on the situation if given the chance...

Backstory: She's rather smart by magicka wizard standards... which is rather low to begin with. Having fought in several wars, she's no stranger to fighting. She's one of four wizards, with Emily being the leader. Thankfully, only SHE came along... It's an never-ending battle to keep herself sane and to not run on magicka logic (overkill and with no regard for friendly fire to self and others... along with doing stupid and insane things). But she's got this under control. Mostly. And it's even harder when she's with the rest of the gaggle of wizards (the group). The default setting for magicka wizards is insane and stupid, along with a heavy dose of overkilling enemies in the way.

How did she get here? It was because she was testing spells. A few hours later... using a spoon, making keyboards explode (on purpose), and miscasting a few spells sent her here. Now she's trying to find a way to get back home with the rest of the gaggle. For all of their faults, they care for each other and the other three are looking for her knowing she's alive. Now doing it is going to be one wild ride!

Role In The City: Exterminator. Given how powerful her magic is. If you pay her enough and are ok with collateral damage of the targeted area, she will destroy whatever bad things/monsters that are living there. But don't expect anything to be ALIVE except her after she's done. She's seen as the last resort and when overkill is required.

Other Things Of Note: Being a magicka wizard... she's not sane by normal human standards. Now she might SEEM broken, but she's a glass cannon. Yes, she's tougher than an average non wizard human, but her magic is that strong. Her magic is that strong, so she's got some small inherent resistance to taking magic damage... that's nowhere near enough to protect herself from her own magic. Her normal outfit hides her body shape surprisingly well, which has resulted in many assuming she was male (her voice is an average female voice thankfully). Magicka magic is a double edged sword and affects friends and foes equally.

Said to live in a isolated area, but still close enough to civilization due to her magic. Fortunately, no one else important lives nearby where she does. Although there is a noticeable lack of living monsters near that same area...

Just check the wiki.

The answer is a lot of things they can do, but remember friendly fire is always on. She can hurt herself as much as her allies and enemies. Also, collateral damage is kinda expected. Though not desirable. Whatever will hurt her enemies if reflected back at her... pain.

And there's ONE spell that deletes one random target from existence, including the caster.= aka crash to desktop. Vortex is a vortex that whatever enters is it GONE. Think stable nonmoving blackhole that exists as long as stuff/beings are being added to it. It also can harm the caster. Otherwise, no spells are able to change reality. So the most powerful spells are not always the best thing to use.

Sorry for the delay. My concern isn't so much 'what can she do' in terms of variety, it's in terms of the setting flavor that the magic will bring. This setting is a lot more concerned with the implications of magical people running around than it is with the combat side of magic; i.e. blasting people and/or friendly fire are much smaller concerns. This also means that there's less reason to have someone whose stated goal is 'blow things up', simply because society has evolved around lots of people being able to blow things up extremely well.

For instance, it's quite possible that your character may never see a fight for four or five IRL months, simply because she isn't around the part where fights happen, or there isn't any justification for her to be in the group that is socially sanctioned to commit violence, or the fact that there isn't an active expedition going on at the moment. For instance, about 1/3 of the active characters are involved in a political subplot that is literally just people arguing in a room.

There's also no way for you to have known this ahead of time, given that the bulk of the lore isn't here, but the main threats involved in the setting can't be overcome with excessive firepower. And if she can't blow things up with wanton abandon, what else will she do with her time? Is she enough of a character to withstand long periods of boredom?

If you're willing to accept that a large chunk of the RP is going to be talking, rather than traditional combat, then I'd be willing to let you in anyway, with the caveat that there's no resurrection or vortex spells allowed, and that all collateral damage is discussed with me and everyone involved. Do let me know what you think.

That's ok. The collateral damage and job things not being shown irp is fine with me. And yes she has less destructive spells too besides things being destroyed.

And regarding vortex: TOO DANGEROUS TO USE! I can make it so revive won't work on others. (To be fair, the fairy is a bit annoying to say the least).

  • Setting: Sadboy Pilotgeddon
  • Age: 15 or 16.
  • Powers/Abilities:
    • Mech Piloting But Only With A Very Specific Interface And Weight Class: Fundamentally unlikely to come up, but on the off-chance it does she's very, very good.
    • Transferrable Mech Piloting Skills: Asuka benefited from a broad curriculum of training including hand-to-hand combat techniques (designed for an eighty-metre body weighing a few thousand tonnes and capable of lifting several times its own body weight, but increasingly useful as she's rounded on adulthood), firearm drills, and the cultivated bodily coordination of an athlete.
    • That Mysterious Degree: Asuka has a bachelor degree and Anno never has clarified what exactly she majored in, so for the purposes of the RP we'll pretend it was mechanical engineering with a thesis on heatsinks.
    • Carries a knife. You would too if you were a teenage girl living in this shithole.
  • Backstory:
    • Wow, you haven't seen Evangelion?
    • You haven't seen Evangelion?
    • You haven't seen Evangelion?
    • What's important is that Asuka underwent a profound trauma at a very early age which was allowed by the cowardice of her surviving family to blossom into a well-fed attachment disorder. Unable or unwilling to draw identity and validation from her own parents and met with frustration trying find them elsewhere, she decided she could live only for herself. She was lying.
    • After going through lots more fun stuff in this general vein and failing manifestly to save the world, Asuka washed off a beach next to a sea of blood and into a city founded on a torrent of bullshit. She spent her first months in Concordia homeless and penniless, another corpse-in-waiting slipped through the cracks of a system designed to let her pass right on through. Satsuki Kiryuin found her in the gutter defending her last meaningful possessions and was charmed by her refusal to relinquish her last scrap of dignity.

  • Name: Lieutenant Kim Kitsuragi
  • Appearance: If an assault were launched on this building right now -- if the windows came crashing down and the whole world descended upon you -- this man would hurl himself in death's way to save you. You are sure of this -- but why?
  • Setting: Disco Elysium
  • Powers/Abilities:
    • Marksmanship: In spite of his need for glasses for farsightedness, Kim is actually a very good shot. He consistently scored 70% on his marksmanship evaluations back home. In real life, a cop who scores at least 50% is outstanding, and most are hovering at around 25%. However, due to his tendency to overthink things when under pressure, Kim's actual accuracy tends to vary somewhat, and is significantly better when he doesn’t have time to think himself out of trusting his instincts.
    • Thompson Contender: A single-shot, break-action pistol, replacing his previously-owned muzzle-loader from before entering Concordia; comes with a small array of alternative barrels that can be switched out if higher firepower is necessary, along with the necessary higher calibers of ammunition. Kim carries a small number of reserve rounds, but he's very much an "ask questions first, never draw your gun unless you have to" sort of cop, so this is a very unusual choice for him. However, because of the necessity of higher firepower when it comes to solving violent altercations in Concordia, Kim has begrudgingly compromised his usual limitation of muzzle-loaded pistols.
    • The Goodest of Good Cops: Kim has been an officer for twenty-three years, and has solved 106 cases, and that was before his arrival in Concordia. He's seen a whole lot, and he had a good enough record back home that other precincts know and respect him by name. Kim is observant and quick to spot contradictions in testimonies, and while he solves his cases by the book, he also knows the book is only as good as the one who wrote it, and he's very good at improvising when necessary.

  • Backstory: A twenty-three-year veteran of the Revachol Citizen's Militia's Precinct 57, Kim Kitsuragi dedicated his life to making life slightly more manageable for the people of Revachol, a city built on the bones of failed political ideals, and which wouldn’t even call him one of its own. Kim is the son of two Seolite immigrants, but he was born and raised a Revacholier, and he loves his city. After eighteen years in the juvenile division and a year in processing, Kim moved to homicide, and he's continued to impress as always. One day, however, Kim awoke in a new city, unfamiliar and stifling. That was two years ago. He's managed to make a living for himself working as a Peacekeeper, doing more or less exactly what he was doing before: Solving cases in the slums no one else wants to deal with.
  • Role In The City: Peacekeeper, assigned to Zones 5 and 6.

  • Name: Idunn

  • Appearance: I was... alone. There was nothing... Not one solitary thing but me.When transformed.

  • Setting: Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade

  • Powers/Abilities
    • Demon Dragon: Can transform into a dragon. In this form, she is much more powerful but is noticeably more sluggish and slow to react and the transformation takes a good while. Also 5 meters tall and 9 meters long in this form.
      • Demon Dragonstone: A fist-sized teardrop crystal that Idunn can channel her power through to partially transform and use her powers while remaining in a human form. However, when this happens, her power is severely weakened, and damaging or otherwise interacting with the stone while it is in use will halt the process. Is infused with great power, but even its wielder does not know how to unleash it. Idunn does not require this to fully transform, but she must be in close proximity to it to partially transform.
    • Unsealed Shell: Is extremely loyal to whoever she considers her master, and will continue to follow that person's orders even after their death if specifically told to do so. Generally extremely stoic and emotionless, though capable of surprisingly fierce bursts of emotion.
  • Backstory:
    • Centuries ago, a human-dragon war labeled the Scouring raged across a distant continent, with the humans gaining an advantage as the war went on due to their numbers. The dragons appealed to the Divine Dragons, who had remained neutral, for one of them to turn into a Demon Dragon and increase their numbers with artificial War Dragons. The tribe refused and disappeared - except for Idunn, who was captured because she feared the Divine Dragons would conflict with the others. She was transformed into the Demon Dragon, and her soul was removed after she initially refused to comply.
    • Idunn, residing in the Dragon Temple, created a near-endless amount of these war dragons, but eight human generals known as the Legendary Heroes wielded powerful weapons designed to kill dragons and led humanity to the final battle at the temple. After the battle, Hartmut, the leader of the heroes, saw Idunn unresponsive without orders to follow. Taking pity on her, he chose to seal her with the Binding Blade instead of killing her.
    • A millennium later, she was unsealed by Zephiel, Hartmut's descendant, who commanded her to aid him in his plan of killing off humanity and replacing them with the emotionless War Dragons. Before he died, he ordered Idunn to follow his commands even after his death.
    • Later, when Roy, leader of the army that defeated Zephiel, pleaded with her to stop following the late king's orders, she refused on the grounds that her orders superseded everything else. In the ensuing battle, Roy dealt her the finishing blow with the Binding Blade, causing her to survive the battle. She was taken to Arcadia along with the Divine Dragon Fae, and began to recover her soul.
    • This did not last, and after getting lost in what turned out to be not a normal sandstorm Idunn wound up in Concordia, even more lost. The Peacekeepers found her wandering the streets of Zone 6, seemingly only half-aware of her surroundings and muttering about something she had lost. She came to soon enough once ordered to answer their questions, and joined their ranks not soon after.
  • Role in the City: Peacekeeper assigned in Zone 6.
  • Other Things of Note: Can theoretically use dark magic based off her in-game design and, by hacking, forced battle animations but in practice she doesn't really have the capacity to use it.

  • Name: Superior Spider-Man AKA Otto Octavius

  • Appearance: Red and black and not so friendly.

  • Setting: Marvel Universe AU

  • Age: 23 (physical), 50 (actual)

  • Powers/Abilities:

    • Superhuman Physical Capabilities: Otto is strong enough to pick up cars (strength), can take on hits that would kill humans (endurance) and move at the speed that surpasses even the best of athletes (speed). However, even if the strength level is the same, Superior Spidey might seem stronger, but that is because Otto has no intention of holding back.

    • Wall-Crawling and Webs: Like a spider, Ock is able to stick to any surface with his fingers, as well as create webs used for swinging, pulling objects and other uses. However, this body can generate the web of its own, not unlike Raimiman.

    • Spider-Sense: With this nifty ability, Otto is able to sense incoming danger and react accordingly. However, an already inconsistent ability became even more inconsistent after the body hijacking.

    • Bio-Electrokinesis: Here is the interesting part. Through various experiments, he was able to create a serum that granted him the power of Miles Morales: bio-electrokinesis. Like Miles, Otto is now able to generate electricity in short bursts and use it to shock enemies or destroy equipment.

    • Arachno-Telekinesis: This is an ability Ock got inspired from Kaine. It enables him to control arachnids. However, it doesn't enable communication. Befitting of an arrogant man, Ock designed this power only to subjugate these animals.

    • Master of Engineering: Otto Octavius is an expert of robotics and most kinds of engineering. At his disposal, he possesses a legion of multi-purpose spider drones (mostly for combat support and espionage).

  • Backstory: We all know the story of a dying mad scientist taking over the mind of a superhero. We all know that he bid to be "superior" to Peter Parker. However, this Doc has seen the multiverse amount of Spider-Men during his new tenure as a hero. The competition grew, because he had to be better than them all. As such, he devised a grand project to be the "Ultimate Spider Man". He managed to replicate Kaine and Miles Morales's unique abilities. Unfortunately for him, Spock was never able to finish this project, as the rift to Concordia sucked him to another dimension once and for all. To be fair, it worked out well for the Doc, as no one knows Peter Parker in this place, so he would be the only Spider Man in this grand multiversal city of Concordia. His legacy would outshine Peter's by a huge margin. In his mind, he already achieved victory against Parker. The question now is how to leave his name as an important one in the history of Concordia.

  • Role in the City: Spider-Man is a self-proclaimed "Protector of Concordia", actively making his presence known among the residents here as a very illegal, very arrogant vigilante. Superior Spider Man believes himself to be a better guardian than Peacekeepers or any other vigilantes. As Otto Octavius the man, however, he is the leader of a scientist group, separate from the Diet's influence. Or at the very least, he is aiming for it. If the technology level were to increase here, it would be the hands of Otto Octavius. As implied, he does not like Diet, thank you very much.

  • Other Things of Note:
    • Octavius feels pretty fine here, especially with the baggage of Peter Parker being completely off (...for now). He feels no need to return to his universe.

  • Name: Ichiban Kasuga
  • Appearance: "I feel my stats going up!"
  • Setting: Yakuza: Like a Dragon
  • Personality: Imagine the most stock shonen hero that you can- optimistic, idealistic, passionate, hot-headed, kind, and hopeful in even the direst of circumstances. Now imagine that he's also an early-40's ex-yakuza hobo. Welcome to Ichiban Kasuga.
  • Powers/Abilities:
    • Ichiban is a hardened fighter who served the yakuza for seven years before surviving for a further eighteen years in prison. His fighting style incorporates both streetfighting and pro-wrestling techniques- on top of that, he utilises a heavily-modified baseball bat that is always charged with electrical power.
    • Besides his fighting prowess, Ichiban has a wild imagination that makes him a creative tactician in battle. His kindness and determination also make him an infectiously charismatic person who inspires respect, admiration, and sometimes even loyalty in others.
    • Poundmates: Ichiban brought to the city his smartphone. While now ineffective for communication, this handy little device is capable of temporarily summoning allies to aid Ichiban in battle. They can only appear for a maximum of thirty seconds, and Ichiban can only summon two of them per day.
      • Mr. Poundmates: Summons Gary Buster Holmes, representative of the Poundmates system. Inexplicably has spiked metal balls for hands which, when swung, create a potent blast of air.
      • Fake Wild Tiger Of Town: Summons Robson, an adorable little kitty that transforms into a fiercesome tiger to attack Ichiban's enemies.
      • Crustacean Damnation: Summons Nancy-chan and her crew of a dozen fellow crawfish to snip away at opponents (particularly their noses). Those attacked by Nancy and her crew will feel unwell, similarly to a cold, though the effect ends after half an hour.
      • Aggressive Maegashira 3rd Rank: Summons Tosanoyama, a sumo wrestler that nearly ruined a persimmon that Ichiban had been protecting. His powerful sumo slam creates a small, localised earthquake.
      • Korean Sensation: Summons Il Yu-Jin, a popular Korean romance actor. He recreates the climatic scene from one of his movies, embracing his lover while a blizzard forms in the area around them.
      • Roaring Biker: Summons Taka the Striker, a biker bro that Ichiban saved from the yakuza. With the help of his trusty bike, he creates a circle of flame to burn or otherwise ward off attackers.
      • Angel From Above: Summons Megumi, a young girl raising donations for her sick brother. Her unyielding wholesomeness inflicts holy-aligned damage on Ichiban's enemies.
      • Man Baby Patriarch: Summons Susumu Gondawara, a yakuza patriarch with an ageplay fetish. When he throws a temper tantrum, he releases a strong sonic soundwave.
      • Financially Eggcelent Chicken: Summons Omelette, Ichiban's avian coworker. This chicken's eggs have incredible healing properties; eating one, either by its own or as part of a meal, can instantly revitalise a person and heal moderate injures.
      • Idol of Onomichi: Summons Ono Michio, the beloved orange-headed mascot of Onomichi city. Striking his signature pose, Ono Michio instills heroic power in Ichiban and his allies, fortifying them against any form of mental coercion or attack (this buff lasts for 60 seconds).
      • Soup Kitchen Starlet: Summons Kiyoe Shirakawa, a kindly woman who works at one of Ichinjo's soup kitchens. She can whip up a broth that serves a maximum of four people, can cure fatigue, and miraculously heals moderate injuries.
      • Mysterious Arms Dealer: Summons Chau Ka Long, a triad leader turned arms dealer. As proficient with weapons as he is at selling them, Chau attacks enemies with fire-coated Chinese sabers.
  • Backstory: Ichiban was born in a brothel and seemingly abandoned by his parents, which is a good tone setter for how the rest of his life plays out. He was discontent in childhood and eventually ended up joining the yakuza after he picked a fight with the wrong guy, was beaten within an inch of his life, and then was saved by the leader of an opposing clan. Eternally grateful to Masumi Arakawa, Ichiban was completely willing- happy even- to take the fall for a murder that one of his superiors committed, landing him with an 18-year prison sentence.
After getting out, Ichiban was shocked not only at how far the world had progressed while he was locked up, but at Arakawa's apparent betrayal of the yakuza. Ichiban hunted him down for an answer, but instead received a bullet in his chest. He was then taken to another city and left to die, only surviving thanks to the intervention of a nurse-turned-hobo. His quest to find an answer for Arakawa's betrayal was a long and perilous one- however, while Ichiban lost many people dear to him, he also gained a group of loyal, invaluable friends.
At the end of it all, Ichiban made a vow to protect the city and all of the lower-class citizens that had helped him on his journey. This promise hit a little snag when he found himself unceremoniously dumped in a spaceship with no apparent way to return home. But hey, there's a lot of people in the world who need help, so Ichiban dug in his heels and doubled down on his promise to help the poor and maladjusted.
  • Role In The City: Serves as a Peacekeeper under Witch in Zone 6.
  • Other Things Of Note:
    • Ichiban is a long-time gamer and also might actually have brain damage, which leads to him viewing the world through the lens of a JRPG hero. Friends are party members, fights give experience points, opponents transform into common enemy archetypes, etc.
    • Though he lives in 2020 Japan, Ichiban's long stint in prison has left him befuddled with any sort of technological or cultural ideas that extend past the early 00's.
