Funny you should mention that; Idol is having Dokibird do a warch-a-long of some of their debuts! (Though she can't do them all, due to scheduling conflicts)

Yes, I was hoping to get some clarity on when it would be appropriate to include PL or IRL references. I get that Dokibird's case was a huge deal in regards to ignoring PL/ corporate identity separation, but I was hoping to have an idea of how to approach someone like Sayu, who if I'm not mistaken was a lot more coy about whether she was actually Zaion or not.
Like, I don't think that mentioning the PL or IRL identities of Calliope or Nerissa or Fuwamoco etc is necessary, but then I look at the case with Cy Yu and how any links to him go directly to Alejandro Saab. But I believe in his case he explicitly doesn't hide that it's him, kind of like how I think Amalee is pretty open that she's Monarch?
Come to think of it, wasn't Sayu going to do a watchalong of some video that summed up the whole situation with Zaion? If she explicitly says that she was indeed Zaion, then it'd be acceptable to link Zaion and Sayu, no?
Amalee literally advertises Monarch as one of the characters she plays on her Con announcements, so she's fine.
Personally, my opinion on most of these is for purposes of general discussion outside of people's communities, like away from their chats, discords, twitters, and the like, it should usually be okay. But don't, for example, roll into Henya's streams and start talking about "PIKAMEE! PIKAMEE!"
That said, there probably are some Vtubers who would rather their other personas not be mentioned in any capacity, and those should be respected.
But those are just my opinions on the matter. I know not everyone feels the same way.

You may want to ask in the V Tubers Cleanup Thread. I do known they decided to consider AmaLee and Monarch separate back in January in reference to IRL trouping, which I would think PL would come under.

And a few who should remember not to tell at their husband while on stream.
Looking at you Hime Hajime
I wouldnt tell because her husband's speedo gave me nightmares
Pantheon server for all who click here. Freaking lost $410 and I am hunting down for a nuke to reign down.I have no context and I would rather not aquire it
"You can reply to this Message!"
Yes, I was looking around and found that Amalee and Monarch have their own separate pages, not dissimilar to how a Dokibird now exists alongside a Selen one.
I was going to ask around the cleanup threat like you suggested, but I thought perhaps this thread already had a similar discussion concerning when it's okay to outright mention a PL on a VTuber's trope page or when including them under examples of a trope.
Just so I don't have to spam up arrows, here's the VOD https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2142764561 of Sayu's reaction stream to Zaion being turned into a folk devil by ANYCOLOR.

Good, I wish I could unsee that. :P
That said, I'm not surprised that Melody is behind a certain alcohol-fueled blonde's debut as a VTuber: sure, Syd's You Tube content is so cursed it's in dire need of an exorcist, and she has a tendency to think out loud thoughts that should be confined to one's brain, but she's also a happily married, impeccably dressed woman who likes cozy slice of life video games and cute stuff in general. Mel is the most wholesome sex fiend on Twitch - no wonder she probably contacted her as soon as she posted that one joke video on You Tube about what would eventually become Hime Hajime.
By now, her repeated failure at keeping her identities separate is an integral part of the character, same with Bubi and Connor :P And speaking of Bubi, I recently found out that a bone marrow transplant can help with strengthening the immune system of people with CVID - could it work on Mouse?

Holotalk is back! Kiara's guest for today was Watame.
Open Secret is a non-Trivia, NRLEP trope so using it in that manner on a Vtuber’s page or the page for the talent behind the Vtuber is misuse. Beyond that, I have no real idea how to properly address the overall issue.

Yeah, I can completely see why. In the case of Dokibird, outside of those first few days (weeks?) where she herself was pretty straightforward that she was Selen (and of course Selen's mods straight up linking to Dokibird's Youtube page), I don't think she's been so blunt about it since (e.g. I think she's said stuff like "my old job" instead).
But to summarise what I've seen thus far (and these are only from the section that notes that it's only under unusual circumstances that people don't care so much about VTuber P Ls):
- In the case of the likes of the former Pomu or Mel (where we have pages about the corporate identity but not the PL), no mention is made of who the PL is other than that they have one. No names mentioned and no hints dropped.
- In the case of Delutaya (where we have pages about both the retired corporate identity and the PL), no mention is made about the corporate identity other than they had one. No names mentioned and no hints dropped.
- In the case of Dokibird and Riro Ron, both corporate and PL identities are straight up mentioned in their entries. I assume in this case it's because they've either directly stated who they were, made such blatant references there was no denying it, or didn't even bother with denials. Plus, well, their departures from their corporate identities wasn't exactly subtle.
I want to include Zaion/ Sayu, but don't know which approach to take. For example:
- Should I refer to her as "Zaion" as in "former Nijisanji liver Zaion returned in a new identity" like from the first examples?
- Should it go "Sayu, who was formerly a corporate Vtuber who left under bad circumstances" similar to the second?
- Or should it be "Sayu Sincronisity, who was formerly Zaion of Nijisanji EN and previously before that Sayu Ookami, debuted in..." instead?
I'm genuinely leaning towards the third, since her situation is practically the same as Selen/ Dokibird's.

idol ENCORE is doing their debuts right now.
First was Enya Ignis, previously Punkalopi. Surprised they held off revealing who the other two were right up to a few minutes before the end of the previous' debut.
Anyways, the other two members are... Tonya and Lisa!
They have the musical chops, so I think they'll fit a music-focused group quite nicely :)
I was wondering where Punkalopi went. Also, Lisa's was leaked because she already had a store page before debut, probably because of previous merch she had back when she was an indie and in Tsunderia.
Ha ha ha. What a story, Mark. Both Lisa and Tonya were leaked at around noon EDT on Friday via the Idol webstore.
Doki is running WRESTLETUBER 2024 on the 25/26!
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaOh man, I would have paid good money to have both CyYu and Monarch fight against one another. The amount of trashtalking and taunting would have been legendary.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.Oh man. Who do I choose as my pick to win?
On one hand, I can see Buffpup going all the way but on the other hand, Rin winning this will be really funny.
Help me. I can't get it out of my head.A bit sad that Neuro is only in the opening exhibition match but I shall root for her regardless, and then i will go for my ace oshi Rin
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaThe only bet I have is Bettel winning against Bettel.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.I understand why Kirsche isn't in it, but it would have been hilarious if she was.
Ha ha ha. What a story, Mark.Whoa, that's a lot of Holostars. And it's another event in which a lot of the ARMIS members are participating. They sure are getting around :o
Ah, I missed that. Perhaps for the better, as I was pleasantly surprised by this :p
Yeah, would have been nice to see a watchalong where you can actually see what they watch on screen, instead of having to watch by yourself on a separate screen
