Nerissa dropped an original MV
It's not gonna blow anyone away lyrically, but it's a solid piece of disco-esque dance pop that I could easily see being played/remixed in a club, and Nerissa singing it automatically makes it S-tier.
As far as Vox's new outfit goes, I genuinely can't fathom what the thought process has been in the transition from his original look, which I liked a lot, to this most recent thing aside from pandering to thirsty Kindreds. The first time I saw a shot of him from the waist up, the first thing I thought was that it looks like something off the cover of a trashy romance novel.

Congrats on the new recruits Idol.
Mio's hoodie is back. Pre-order period ends in a month.

Help me. I can't get it out of my head.Of the five debuting idolES, Meica05 is the only one who's an existing VTuber transplanted into the company. If I remember correctly, she's formerly Hina Misora, the WACTOR talent who had been doxxed to hell and back by that scumbag CEO last year after being indefinitely suspended.

"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom PainStill way too big for it.
Burning love!Niji Fes 2024 has been cancelled
This is honestly a baffling choice to me. The big issue they're facing is a crisis of confidence in them, not so much incomenote . They should be able to do it, and doing it would absolutely help
One thing that was overlooked in this thread these past days is Vox's latest outfit reveal.
I'm pretty certain the facial hair was a last-minute request and handled by the modeler, at least. LAM also did Fulgur, who's beard is... acceptable
There's a noticeable dip on [Vox's] bilibili audience and YT CCV after that outfit reveal.
Yeah, he's pulling numbers comparable to Finana now. Shit's wild
Speaking of Finana, she seems to have been largely unaffected by all of this. Possibly even doing better than previously. Kind of odd
idolES has been fully revealed!
My Spanish isn't nearly good enough to follow them, but I'm glad to see the ES market get a non-scummy agency
I imagine that Virtual Rhapsody was another massive blackeye for Anycolor, especially after the success that was Dreamhack.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.Eh, the EN branch is already in terrible shape, so them getting humiliated again isn't that big of deal. I imagine they lost money on it, but probably not more than a few thousand dollars. That the same day saw Nijisanji as a whole with lower peak CCVs than several medium-sized agencies is really a bigger deal

I also learn that Hololive had a habit of spelling Kanata's name as Amane Katana...
that's kinda badass for our little angel!
It's called Panic till the bleeding stops
Finana's basically in her own little bubble. you can either put up with her or you can't
Edited by FrozenWolf2 on Apr 27th 2024 at 12:03:08 PM
Yeah, they joked about that in Anya's Hologra debut, much to the 50kg grip angel's chagrin.
Burning love!I was told that every 3d of a Nijien has an official 3d appearance of Elira in it since she got her model and I had to check. Yeah as far as I can see, she does show up in every debut. Sure they show up in groups but she is the one consistent element
Pantheon server for all who click here. Freaking lost $410 and I am hunting down for a nuke to reign down.Bao's irl confidence arc is just too much
also she's still wearing Numi's jean!
Edited by FrozenWolf2 on Apr 27th 2024 at 12:47:01 PM
Stealing Numi's Jeans, turning Giri's toilet into a fallout area, this whale is a menace
"You can reply to this Message!"Regarding the festivals:
.....Yeah, wow. Incredibly stark difference.
Hololive's DreamHack event is absolutely jam-packed, meanwhile, Kurosanji's event is clearly incredibly lacking in visitors.
And Hololive's event is far cheaper, yet provides 3D, meanwhile Kurosanji's event is in 2D despite being far more expensive. And despite that price, Kurosanji's event is apparently pre-recorded??? Lmao. By the way, isn't Hololive's event a live one?
Also I find it hilarious that this is the second time this year that we see a Kurosanji event that's happening with such a dark lighting (fitting the Kurosanji name lol), while Hololive's event looks so bright despite being indoor as well.
I won't make much comment on the 2024 Niji Fes being cancelled, other than it feels like after seeing the Virtual Rhapsody event result, Riku already gave up on the entire 2024 altogether lol.
Regarding Vox's new costume:
Yeah, not the best idea to debut a very Japanese costume in front of mainland China viewers, when those viewers are exactly what he's trying to get right now.
And yeah, the beard doesn't look good either. Although, I lmao'd at the ashigaru look despite supposedly being a samurai
Edited by ShiningStardust on Apr 28th 2024 at 5:13:01 PM
Ashigaru deserve better.
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.Aside from the obvious differences in hololive and 9634's respective events, Dreamhack and Cover also pulled another win in getting hololive out to more non-fans: the concert was open on a first-come-first-serve basis to folks who already had tickets to the actual Dreamhack event, while the tickets sold for the concert itself were more for dedicated fans who wanted guaranteed premium seating. There've already been a bunch of tweets from folks previously completely unaware of hololive spreading the word and raving about the concert. If even a few of them fall into the rabbit hole, that's a win in Cover's book, and one step closer to WAHrld domination.
And because we can't spend more than a day without something else kicking up....Enna's 3D Live happened yesterday, and while it had the now-standard extremely low views and revenue, the real kicker is that Kyo appeared in it despite the "rule" against graduated members appearing
Which means that 1) Nijisanji really was sitting on these 3Ds for a LONG time and 2)they really, really, REALLY had it against Doki
Edited by Proglottid on Apr 28th 2024 at 2:41:34 AM
I also remember Virtual Rhapsody saying they changed how the ticket works to allow more people in, due to "overwhelming demands", yet almost all of the tickets for Kurosanji events in Virtual Rhapsody, are still not sold out by the time the event starts.
I think you're confusing a few things here— The change in ticketing due to "overwhelming demand" was the meet and greet at Anime Impulse, changing from a max of two per person to three. What Virtual Rhapsody did was open sales of the event's merch to everyone instead of keeping them exclusive to the physical event
And despite that price, Kurosanji's event is apparently pre-recorded???? Lmao, isn't Hololive's event a live one?
I'm not sure about either of those? The AR Live being pre-recorded just made people assume the worst about Niji concerts. Despite the vast bulk of 3D events being pre-recorded
Ohh, I misremembered who posted that two to three change, then. Thanks for informing. I'll remove that bit from my post.
As for the other thing, Proglottid in the previous page mentioned that Kurosanji's event in Virtual Rhapsody is pre-recorded. As for Hololive's event, that was a question, actually XD
I'll make the Hololive one clearer.
From what I know, sololives in places like Budokan are fully live; Suisei in particular has mentioned how she prefers performing live in-person. Concerts like Fes or Dreamhack are most likely a mix, where the audio is probably mostly prerecorded—especially for the more physically demanding performances—while the actual physical performance and MC sections are live. We just don't actually know how much is actually live and how much is prerecorded since it's never been made clear. For example, Myth and Area15's performances for Link Your Wish (2022) were almost certainly fully prerecorded, because Japan was still closed to travel at the time, but that's only an assumption because no one's ever said anything concrete.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.New Idol Showdown update, which includes new mechanics, moves, and story mode bosses!
And...IT'S TAKO TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME
MOD NOTE: Editing out some inaccurate complaints here. Carry on
Hololive's Holodorokei is live right now, and the twin doggos are doing separate POVs. :D

Help me. I can't get it out of my head.
Nah. China, I'd get, but if wearing a samurai's outfit was the problem for the rest of Asia then Iroha, Ollie, and Shinri all would've tanked, seeing as they all have samurai-themed outfits. Vox's just looks basic and meh, the proportions are all off, the veins are eugh, and that beard is just nasty.
