Based on what I hear is the state of Bilibili right now (i.e., Mass unsubscribes and deletions of fan videos of anything Hololive), this was honestly the best offer that Cover could have given them. The CN branch staying as Hololive at this time would put them at risk, so being allowed to go independent or move to a different Vtuber company really is the safest option for them. From what I hear, after they revealed all of this, their subscriptions are going up again and the Chinese nationalists are taking this as a win since they "saved their girls from Cover", so this move has helped ensure their safety and continued career.

And being allowed to keep ownership of not only their models but the in-progress upgrades they would have had as well? That's huge! After reading about far too many stories of Vtubers getting screwed over by their management, such as with Azuma Lim and Game-bu, having a company give their talents a severance package that allows them to continue streaming without having to start from scratch again is very commendable to say the least.

Personally, the one I feel sorry for the most here is Artia. She was the first Hololiver to join the Hololive Reddit community and frequently interacted with the English-speaking fans. She should have been celebrating with the rest of Hololive now, planning streams with EN members like Amelia, and generally reaping the success she helped foster. Instead, thanks to a bunch of Chinese nationalists that couldn't let go of their pride and assumptions, she probably couldn't even interact with Hololive members without making herself a target.

Probably. At this point any further affiliation with Hololive is just putting a target on her forehead.

I don't think they ever got lost, but Gura accidentally killed Aqua.

By pushing her into a berry bush. Which poked Aqua to death. Because Aqua shaved off most of her HP by running through the berry bushes to meet her juniors and introduce herself.

Is that how her health got so low in the first place? I was only listening to that part.

Gura's Promoted Fangirl-ness was on full display, too, given how many times she said she'd watched things being built on stream. So excited.

Dang, that sounds like a blast. I had to dip out partway through the second game. Any other highlights?

I'm pretty sure Kiara after spacing Polka decided to have some savage parting words for the circus fox.

Watching Kiara and Gura realise Amelia was the impostor but not that they could call an emergency meeting (I think, chat was screaming about it) was hilarious.

Also note that if they had KNOWN that, Gura would've had a perfect streak. xD

Watson didn't need even have to do anything in that last meeting since Kiara came in with Nene accusations blazing when the body was discovered. The Polka chat was cheering on Kiara for turning the game around from a likely loss for Polka to a definite win. As expected of the Bottom Left chicken

And sounds like the Nene and Ina streams turned into a love story when the two decided to get married behind everyone's backs in chat. Which then turned into a Yandere love story when Ina became an imposter, killed Nene, told Nene that she did it because she can't let anyone else kill her, and was forgiven by Nene so they can continue flirting in ghost chat.
