One of the group has wound up there mostly by chance and a desire to avoid getting swept away by the current of avatars running about their business. A bunny eared girl in glasses dressed as a mechanic sits off to the side scrolling through her menus and chats looking for friends or acquaintances that might be convinced to join her in game, but so far none are online or available.
"Too meta... Too meta... Too much roleplay focus... Wrong kind of roleplay focus..."
Seems like she hasn't had much luck skimming the advertisements either.

Meanwhile, - even though there is no weather simulation in the Hub Area - his avatars long black hair is flowing elegantly in the wind, obscuring his nervous expression, and accentuating his dark robes.
"... maybe this time the conditions will be just right."

“Gat-dang bazooka spamming, no good-“
He blinks, shakes his head, his black and white mop of hair jostling. “I mean...if I had my shield up...meh.”
He shrugs, meandering through the crowd of avatars. ''Got some time to kill while the Aegis gets fixed...what to...oh?”
Through the crowd, he spots a certain pair of rabbit ears. ...bingo.
He chuckles internally, approaching the girl from behind, folding his arms and...!
Placing himself atop her head.
“Huh...still haven’t added me to your Friend List, Lago?”

A feminine figure makes her way through the crowd of other players. It hasn't been that long since they've logged in and the first order of business is to see what missions are available. "Let's see what we have here," she says in a voice that is unexpectedly masculine as she reaches the front of the room and begins to read over the options in front of her.

Lagomach hovers over the raid support listing, despite the literally edgy player name it looked decent for now, other than the fact the she was hardly a group at the moment.
"hmm..."
She squeaks in surprise when someone suddenly leans on her head and tries to turn to get a glance at the culprit, accidentally sending a blank request to XxX_EdgeFlameMaster_XxX in the process that nonetheless would list her primary roles as a casual player and a flexible multi-range attacker in the game data.
"Hmph, after last time it I figured you'd assume it was as a pity request" the mechanic states matter of factly as she closes her menu, bunny ears flicking at his face in teasing annoyance now that she's recognized Akira.

"A request with just the basics?"The DarkEdgeMaster thinks to himself.
"Lagomach seems to be doing a bad job at hiding her real power level."
He says to himself and accepts the group request after he checked her game data and saw her role as a "multi-range attacker".
He is convinced that Lagoach is smurfing, but will play along with her attempt to appear as a casual.
As it is hard to miss a lavender haired bunny girl - even in the GBNs Hub Area - he quickly finds her and approaches her and a dude whos outfit reminds him of Vash from Trigun.
"Hi guys! I assume you are Lagomach?"
He says with his voice getting smaller over time.

Lagomach belatedly realizes she's got a notice about joining Edge's group and puts two and two together. "Oh, well, you see... This is EdgeFlameMaster, we're in a raiding party" She explains briefly and with all the awkwardness of telling an old friend you're in a new relationship. But that's probably just because she didn't realize she actually sent that request until he showed up.
"This is Akira, we used to spar" Lagomach adds to Edge

XxX_DarkEdgeMaster_XxX was shocked to see that he was writing his own name wrong all along, as he mixed his accounts name with the name of the anime character he was referencing ;P"Hmmm, yes we are. For about 20 seconds if you wanna know, Akira."
XxX_DarkEdgeMaster_XxX reponds and switches targets:
"So Largo, who of you is better? You must have kept scores if you used to spar, right? Also it XxX_DarkEdgeMaster_XxX. Damn, I must have written the wrong name -again- when sending ou my group request..."

Stepping back from reading over the list of available missions, the teenage girl let's out a sigh. "It's a good mission...but I need a team." Stepping away from the panels in front of her, she typed out an advertisement. If anyone looked at it, they would read:
"Hi. My name's Rinka and I'm looking for a team for this mission. I'm new, but I'll try my best to support whoever I'm working with. I'll be in your care."
After dropping in a link to the mission, Rinka took a step back and waited to see if anyone would respond to her advertisement.

"Come on, it's not like I always won." Lago started confidently despite having never really bothered to keep score, though she started to peter out as she realized the only losses to Akira she could recall at the moment were in team matches "What about... um I mean, I haven't had a chance to fight that new unit you said you had planned for Royal, so who's to say?"
She stood quickly and stepped away from the bench and turned to face the two with an awkward smile while she tried to avoid potentially embarrassing Akira. "Anyway! You were looking at raid missions today, right Edge? Got any in mind yet?"

"They basically confirmed that Lagomach is smurfing!" DarkEdgeMaster mumbles to himself and adds: "Yeah sure, just let me check for a sec."Using the moment to drop the small talk he opens up the game menu and sees Rinkas request.
After reading it he writes a direct message to Rinka, using a blueish interface that looks just like in the anime.
"Hi I'm in a newly formed raiding party with the lavender haired Bunnygirl Lagomach, can't miss her. Just ask her to join.

When she receives a notification that she has a message, Rinka pulls it up. After quickly reading over a certain edgelord's message, she opens up his bio. "Another supporter, huh," she mutters as she reads the post attached to it. Instead of replying, she sends him a friend request before exiting and looking up Lagomach's bio. To her, she sends a party request as well as a message:
"Someone named XxX_DarkEdgeMaster_XxX says you're in need of a raid group. I need one too. Let's meet up at the counter."
Message sent, she steps away from the counter seen in the anime and begins to keep an eye out for the bunny girl and whoever else is in her party.

"So, you find something? Or- Oh" She stops in response to the game alerting her to Rinka's request, and quickly pulls open her own game interface to accept and type up a response [Sure, we can be there in a minute].
"Alright, that should be enough enough people go pick something out at the counter then" She turns briefly Akira and gives him a little wave and says "Guess I'll see you around?" before heading for the counter

A notification signifying that his gunpla repairs were finished distracts Akira momentarily.
The young man mutters, “Yeah, see y-” then realizes just what was happening. “Oi!”
Akira sputters out, “Yer not getting rid of me that easily!”
He opens his own interface and quite literally hurls a Join Party request at the bunny girl, “Eiyaaaaaah-!”

Lagomach turns back just in time for the flying menu screen to bounce harmlessly off her forehead and fade away. "Geeze, if you wanted to join in so bad you didn't have to shout about it" She tries to look annoyed as she pulls her menu open again and adds Akira to the party.
She also sends him a friends request, just in case she forgets later, definitely, and pulls up Rinka's bio to figure out who to look for since she hadn't really bothered while she was trying to get away from the subject of her and Akira's skills. "Alright, that makes four people..."

DarkEdgeMaster shifts a nonexistent pair of glasses up his nose and proceeds to shadow Largomech."Just according to plan."
Glancing at Akiras outburst tho he cannot stop himself from facepalming.
"Well, within margins of error..."

Pilot of the RX-00 Tempest
The collection of lights gathered and formed the avatar of Caelum. A stretch and a yawn later, he would put a sleek pair of sunglasses over his visage. Running his hand through those messy locks of red. It's been quite a while since I logged on. I should probably find a group to join up with for a bit to get the hang of the controls again... thought the Diver. Opening up the menu, he saw that as usual, he had no new friend requests, no new messages. A soft sigh came from his lips. Well, at the very least I can check up on the current LFG listings. Caelum just idly made his way around the Hub. Out the corner of his eye, he saw the rather unique looking group of divers. Well, all sorts play this game after all.
Mission counter
Caelum might notice a LFG listing from the eccentric group is still open. With two support roles, a tank and an all-rounder making up the entirety of the group it wouldn't be hard to assume that they could use some more dedicated firepower.
Regardless Lagomach begins searching the area for their fourth member. Once she's spotted the bunny eared mechanic waves and calls out "Hey, it's Rinka, right?" as she hurries over without paying much attention to anyone else milling around the area. "It's Lagomach, how's it going?"

Rinka stands not too far from the counter eying the crowd. It doesn't take her long to recognize the leader of the party, especially when she calls out with a wave and makes her way through the crowd to Rinka. Rinka puts her hand out just enough to put some space between herself and the newcomer. "Uh...hi. It's nice to meet you," she says in a voice that's lower than one would expect.

Lagomach looks briefly, mildly surprised when she stop and rubs the back of her neck awkwardly, but doesn't let it stop her for long. "Nice to meet you too" She sounds like she means it. After all, the whole point of a game was for everyone to have fun, right?
The servers are bustling, activity is running, and the Divers are here and making clans and fighting battles. It's just another day on the network.
Several players have gathered together, perhaps because they didn't get picked for any other clans. They might as well introduce themselves.
