Also figured out that the Tues-Thurs Dungeon, Cargo Escort, gives LMD on clear, and a fair amount if you have a lot of Sanity to burn.

It's been fun.

You can also just build a lot of trading posts if lack of money is an issue, of course that means you won't get as much EXP cards from the factories as you'll need them pumping out gold.

BTW always build 3 Power Plants, otherwise you won't be able to upgrade the entire base to maximum.

Yup. I haven't had the resources to expand my base too far, but I did just buy my second dormitory. I'd be slowly but surely running my Operators into the ground otherwise.

It's been fun.

Anyone got any advice for 1-2? It's one of those missions where you're required to use specific units and I can't figure out how to beat it.

I've 2-starred it, but not 3-starred it. I can see about looking at it again in a while, though.

It's been fun.

I have it 3-starred but it doesn't save an Auto-Deploy for these kinds of missions so I have no idea what I did.

Edit: Okay, I did it again just now. Basically I split into two groups: top and bottom. For top I used Fang, Hibiscus, and the single target Caster. But that's a super low priority lane so you can leave Fang alone up there for most of the mission.

The rest of the team works on the bottom together, starting with Plume dropped near the exit and eventually Beagle right in front of her. You want to overlap all the damage zones onto the spot in front of Beagle.

Going back and doing that mission now is actually kind of funny for how it's a tutorial for some super basic concepts of lane-splitting that you have to use constantly.

The tutorials are placed kind of weirdly. Like, there's a tutorial on what Casters do placed after your first boss run-in with W and her mass "I don't want to see these people anymore" bombs.

It's been fun.

[up]x2

Thanks. I couldn't get your setup to work but I looked up a walkthrough and that helped. Sucks that you can't auto that mission after three starring it though.

Do operators gain trust if they're assigned on the Workshop?

I think so. Everyone who's working does, which counts office assistants, but not anyone in the dorms.

It's been fun.

Another day, another banner. Also the rare operators in the shop changed so I picked up Texas.

I got insanely lucky and picked up my first single-ticket 6* - Saria, on the Siege banner.

It's been fun.

Oh right, isn't that the one Silence keep complaining about in the title screen?

She and Silence have History, yeah. And they're a popular ship.

@Hail Muffins The reason why the game has Japanese voices despite being made by Chinese developers is due to the latter are anime fans when they were teens and before the Ccp got tough on TV stations that aired anime. For Hyperglyph and Mica Team of Girls Frontline (which the former was composed of former Mica Team developers), it's a dream come true for them to work with their favorite voice actors to make an anime inspired game. Plus it appeals to all anime fans worldwide.

Anyway, which free 5 star operator should I choose?

From what I hear, Silence hasn't had a solo rate up on the Chinese server yet, and she's a strong healer right off. Pramanix and Red both need investment/won't be very useful in the early game because of their class mechanics not really being called for, and I forget who the fourth option was.

It's been fun.

4th option is Liskarm. I don't have her, but she seems like a pretty good tank, though timing her skill will take practice.

Still haven't picked yet, deciding between Liskarm and Silence. I got Silverash with my guaranteed 6*, but aside from notable 4 stars like Perfumer and Cuora I have been using mostly the free 3 star characters. I really need a better Ao E character than Lava, like Skyfire or Gitano.

I feel kinda bad about not doing the main story because it's got some very interesting things going on (currently at chapter 2), but I've hit that bit where I feel like I should grind everyone and everything for a while.

RedSavant Since: Jan, 2001

Same. I actually felt like I was grinding too much, but then the latest Slow map actually got me down to a 2-star completion, so.

It's been fun.

I'm up to chapter 4-9, but spending sanity on anything that isn't an investment towards the future feels almost like waste.

I do think the story is pretty good for a gacha game though. I actually care about these people.

I haven't played beyond the end of Chapter 1 because that final map eludes me. I've managed to three star every other map but the final map of Chapter 1 I can only two star.

I've been focusing on grinding and base-building as soon as I finished the prologue.

I've learned my lesson with FGO and GBF, I don't advance in the story until I've got a team capable of at least tackling all the advanced farming.

Edit: Thanks Nouct for the last clue I needed.

It's just...what the hell does happen when you finished the wall of crazy?

BTW anyone with friend slots open? I'm Muffins#3969.

Just curious you know. Among some gacha games, what can the story of Arknights be easily compared to? I hear it's like Girls' Frontline?

@Muffins: I think it starts a 24-hour period where you get a bunch of credit, and your friends get credit too if they visit you. Or something. Honestly, I feel like that's probably the least well-explained mechanic in the base.

^Seems kind of similar, at least. It's definitely not as idealistic as Granblue, for instance.

It's been fun.
