Character pages are a large chunk of the wiki, but they're often filled with problems that don't get resolved. These problems include:
- Zero Context Examples
- Indentation problems, including bulleting tropes under supertropes or tropeslashing
- Spoiler tag misuse
- A lack of alphabetization
- Empty character folders
- Plagiarized character descriptions
- Misused tropes, or tropes that don't belong on character pages
- Broken or incorrect formatting
- Subjective / Trivia trope mentions
Per How to Create a Character Page, character pages should only include tropes that describe the characters. These tropes should fall under Characterization Tropes or one of its related indexes, Unless they're recurring character traits (distinctive things that the character does repeatedly). If you're unsure what counts as a character trope, you can ask about that at Are These Character Tropes.
All characters must have at least one contextualized trope for their section or folder to be visible. If you find a character that has no contextualized tropes present, comment out the entire section and add this tag:

Okay.
"The name's Uzume Tennouboshi! Yeah, it's pretty badass, I know." - Uzume, Megadimension Neptunia VIIOkay, looking through the pages further for Pirates of the Caribbean, it seems that other pages can be merged. Here's how I want to do it:
- Merge into Other Pirates (27.4k): Queen Anne's Revenge (33.3k), The Silent Mary (27.4k)
- Merge into Other Characters (15.4k): Spanish Empire (17.2k), Other Media (17.4k)
If given the okay, I'll do it once I return home from work.
Deed has been done.

Bringing something that came to my attention on the CSP thread
The King of Fighters is, quite frankly, a mess. It has always bothered me that whenever you check for a character that originally existed in another franchise (think Terry Bogard or Robert Garcia) you are redirected to the original franchise Character page, which for the most part are filled with stuff that clearly doesn't belong there, like CG renders and a shit ton of character tropes that only exist in KOF.
I understand that (at least in the eyes of whoever enforced that approach) it made sense considering that most SNK franchises were dead. But with Samurai Showdown and Fatal Fury both making comebacks in the last few years (both of which have their own continuities separate from KOF), that approach doesn't make sense anymore.
So in this sense I'm thinking to have a clean-up for these pages that separates the tropes for each continuity.

Justice League: The League is giving the warning at just over 220k bytes. Might be worth considering making a separate page for the founding members, since they make up almost half the byte count.
On a related note, pretty much every Batman Beyond page is well below the 40k minimum with the exception of the Villains.

I'm good with that split idea.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportSplitting KOF and original continuities make sense considering a lot of characters are different between them (e.g. Geese is dead in Fatal Fury, not in KOF)
Another troper and I believe it's time to split the character page for Action Taimanin. Is there anything I should keep in mind?
I agree re: KoF / SNK, and am happy to assist here
Characters.Hazbin Hotel Lucifers Folly needs some serious help. I already did some edits but there's still several issues with indentation, accidental redlinks, and more.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessSony's Spider-Man Universe is in serious need of a reorganisation. With the exception of the main page, only SSU: Eddie Brock / Venom and SSU: Venom's Enemies make the count.
With Smite 2 coming up, something might need to be done for the god pages for Smite, especially involving changes to god kits.
However, I'm not sure what. In some cases, the changes teased seem so minor that I can't think of a justification for making a separate page for those specific versions of the gods.
EDIT: With more recent revelations, a new page may end up being needed after all, especially considering the removal of classes

Jenova's image on Final Fantasy VII: Other Antagonists is fine, but like, you can see her entire titty eyeball? Isn't that kind of NSFW? We could pan the image up a bit so you can't see the eyeball titty.
The image doesn't look like an issue, and neither does the game think so.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupCharacters.Starfox (the page wikiword is spelled like this for some reason) is another page with too many subpages.
- Characters.Star Fox Team: 86,959
- Characters.Star Fox Star Wolf Team: 55,665
- Characters.Star Fox Supporting Characters: 32,987
- Characters.Star Fox Main Antagonists: 28,472
- Characters.Star Fox Bosses: 50,945
- Characters.Star Fox Comic Characters: 6,612
Permission to replace Characters/NemesisSaga's contents with Sandbox/NemesisSaga's contents?
Do the merges! And go to the capitalization fix thread.
Looking at Characters.Shinza Bansho Series, it seems it was split in too many subpages. For example, the characters of Dies Irae are distributed in Characters.Dies Irae Main Characters (46,6k) Characters.Dies Irae Longinus Dreizehn Orden (122,5 k) and Characters.Dies Irae Others (22,9 k). I'll merge everything to their respective games except Characters.Shinza Banshou Gods.

Still waiting for a response. I think everything's above-board with my suggested changes?
I merged subpages in Star Fox. Capitalization was fixed by someone else.
The new one looks better because of the folders by character.
Why isn't Characters.Superman Clark Kent a thing as opposed to Characters.Superman The Character?
I thought if a particular character had a page, we used their full name.
Also, Characters. The Hunchback Of Notre Dame Disney could have been divided a little differently before we gave Characters. The Hunchback Of Notre Dame Disney Judge Claude Frollo a page in my opinion. Does anyone have ideas for reorganization?

Feels good, don't it?"____ the character" is hardly unusual for titular superheroes, but most of those have been moved to civilian names.
Superman is unique because (with minor exceptions) we don't have to worry about legacy identities. Superman is Kal-El is Clark Kent, no matter the continuity.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Characters.Funbag Fantasy has just gone to IP for a review of the images.
However, the text also lists bust, waist and hip sizes for the main female characters (no equivalent measurements for the men).
Is there any reason we shouldn't cut these for all characters on the page? I can see no reason to keep, but don't want to remove without consensus.
Edit: And I'd suggest we do the same for Characters.Funbag Fantasy 2 and Characters.Funbag Fantasy 3.

Per How to Create a Character Page, there's the sentence "We are not interested in a character's stats, favorite things, abilities, or birthday.", so I agree that the measurements can be cut.
So I guess all the Marvel Comics pages (and probably DC Comics pages too) need to be reworked to remove the Alias, Species, First Appearance, etc. sections — which seem inspired by the Voiced By sections on animated & video game characters' pages.
The 250k limit is to avoid the too-long page suggestion, so it also applies to normal character group pages. And in the Character Specific Pages thread we often discuss merging too small subpages, you can also bring up your ideas there.
