The Tsukipro franchise, which started in 2012 as a series of music singles and audio dramas to combine the talents of seiyuu and vocaloid producers, started doing stage plays in 2016, and has created some amazing things in under three years. By the end of 2018, they've had 10 stage plays and 3 dance shows of the stage casts.
The shows generally consist of a play and a dance performance. The plays are interesting that, unlike most 2.5D theatre, they don't cover the same stories as the audio dramas, anime, or other media. Instead, they create new stories. These also tend to be elaborate fantasy AU stories, very different from the idol slice-of-life stuff that makes up the rest of the franchise.
The Tsukiuta series has had seven stage plays by the end of 2018, and the SQS series has had 2 in 2018, and a third scheduled for May 2019. The Alive series is having its first stage play in May 2019, second in Fall 2019, and third in Spring 2020, starring the unit Growth, with a separate live-action movie being made focusing on their sibling unit Soara. And this is in addition to anime second seasons and continuous music and audio drama releases from all six of those groups, and the Vazzrock series (the series - Tsukiuta, SQ, Alive, and Vazzrock - each consist of two "sibling" groups).
Another interesting thing about this franchise, speaking of the series and paired units, is that most of the stage plays have two "sides", one side for each group. More detail about this on the Tsukiuta page.
It's a really interesting series, from a theatre perspective too, not just from an anime perspective.
2021 edit: They've had 33 stage plays over the franchise so far, with 5+ more coming in 2022.
And a lot of the same actors have been in the Identity V stage play, and in Kuro to Shiro, which is an original series.
