While I feel it's a wasted opportunity to just drop the potential for continuity with She-Ra, I think a CG He-Man has potential. If they play up the fake, plastic-like look of the models, a kids show that's 1:1 accurate to the acid trip that was the toy line could be fun.
On one hand this isn't the She-Ra reboot's thread so I don't want to hear discussions on it over other Netflix animation.
But on the other hand I haven't watched the She-Ra reboot and don't get why everyone makes such a big deal about it.
I ignore the She-Ra cartoon and focus on the Tales of Arcadia line which is average but good.
We have the first visual of The Cuphead Show! but no set release date.

It gives me Looney Tunes vibes and I like it.
Hopefully they don't have to mortgage their city to fund it.
"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."Wait, we know some of the creative crew for the upcoming MOTU CGI cartoon? When did that happen?
Looks like Cuphead the show will be have an interesting dynamic.
When they announced it. Bryan Q. Miller is the story editor and he's written one of my favorite Batgirl runs and the Smallville Season 11 comic continuation. Also, Jeff Matsuda from Jackie Chan Adventures and The Batman is doing the art. I've always found his art style interesting, so I'm curious to see how it translates to CG.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Huh. I guess I missed that... Whoops.
Interview with one of the creators of The Hollow.
Two interesting things about it:
1. The trio's "secondary powers" are considered a spoiler and one of the show's bigger mysteries.
2. Season 3 is not yet approved, but that it's not a "season 3" in a traditional sense.
Also, they now have a merch shop.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).An article about animators, including several upcoming Netflix shows, being one of the few areas of entertainment not dramatically halted by the ongoing pandemic. One of the people being interviewed is working on Maya and the Three or as the creator describes it "Lord of the Rings with brown people”.

Speaking of Maya And The Three, it seems like the inspiration for Maya was from the most important women in Jorge Gutierrez's life (his wife, his mother, and his sister)

The Animal Crackers movie was shown at the Annecy Festival in 2017. After 3 years, it's finally coming to the United States. It comes out July 24 on Netflix.
Bump.

Judging by these pictures Cuphead is much more... manic than I would have imagined.
Edit: It's going to be a musical (I can't remember if that's already been stated yet) and we have a brief voice clip.

Seems like he's based off the Screwball type of characters introduced in the 1930's (Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny's prototype: Happy Hare, etc.) although more childish
"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."Hot damn that animation!
Including musical numbers is an interesting choice; I wonder if it'll be a Once an Episode thing or if it's just every once in a while?
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢The Devil and Cuphead's voices might take some getting used to.
King Dice sounds about right, though.
I found what could be a storyboard for the devil fight, certainly looks legitimate to me.
That makes me wonder, I've heard this be described as a sequel but everything else points to being an adaptation. More than likely the boss fights are going to be an "antagonist of the week" formula. In that case many of the will have to be cut down to the more well known ones in order to fit inside the series. If I were to hazard a guess to which ones might appear I'd go with Hilda Berg, Cagney Carnation, Beppi The Clown, Grim Matchstick, Sally Stageplay, Werner Werman, Cala Maria and The Phantom Express.

It's time to go stellar. Here's new information on Glen Keane's Netflix movie Over The Moon.

Netflix has greenlit Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles, an adaption of Usagi Yojimbo. No cast or release date has been announced yet.
I posted about this on the Nick's TMNT thread. In my excitement, I may have assumed this was coming from Netflix and Nickelodeon. Alas, I was misled...
Then again, Usagi Yojimbo doesn't really factor into the TMNT besides the occasional crossover in TMNT cartoons, so it's probably my own fault for being impulsive...
Despite this, I'm ecstatic that this is happening since the last time we heard from this was back in 2019.
Let's hope that, if this series is successful, it could open the gates for a future animated adaptation of Albedo: Erma Felna EDF, the comic book anthology where Usagi debuted first.
Through to be fair, it could be difficult, considering Steve Gallacci, its creator, is notorious for keeping a tight leash on his work, and he has refused any previous offers for animated adaptations.
Here's the trailer for the adult cartoon HOOPS. It comes out August 21.

I expect a lot visually out of the anime given Powerhouse’s own reputation. It’s funny how quickly they’ve risen as a studio.
