Scott Vs Bill

Scott saw his opponent walking into the arena right before he got there.

Bill looked to be pretty much a textbook example of a nerd. His hair was in a bowl cut, he had a large pair of glasses on, and he was wearing a buttoned up shirt and a belt around his denim shorts. If his pants were pulled up and he had a bowtie, he'd practically be dressed as a stock photo.

"O-ok," Bill nervously said to his opponent, "Let's start this up."

He then activated his model duel disk.

Yuria Vs Sasha

Since both participants had activated their duel disks, a hologram coin appeared, tossing itself into the air.

When it landed, the face-up side showed a arrow pointing to Sasha, indicating she would go first.

"I'll normal summon Gishki Chain." Sasha stated, rather monotone. The large amphibian-man materialized in front of her. (1800/1000) It began to swing it's chain-dart in the air as Sasha continued to talk.

"When Chain is normal summoned, I can look at the top 3 cards of my deck." On cue, the top 3 cards of Sasha's deck were pushed out of the duel disk. She looked at them, took one, and placed the other two back.

"I can add ritual spell or monster I find to my hand. So I'll add Gishki Photomirror," she declared as she showed the ritual spell to Yuria.

"I'll end my turn."

Jo shot the older man that same goofy, friendly grin as he prepped his own duel disk, running a quick hand along the panels before pulling his deck out and shuffling. "Let's make it a good one, sir." He replied as he quickly shuffled his deck and drew his opening hand. "In the spirit of competition, how's about you go first?"

Jo Vs Deckard

Deckard chuckled to himself.

"Appreciate the kindness lad," he remarked as he drew his opening hand, "I'll take your offer."

"I'll start by normal summoning Delta, The Magnet Warrior!"

The magnetic robot appeared, taking a neutral position on the field. (1600/1400)

"When Delta is summoned, I can send a level 4 Magnet Warrior from my deck to my graveyard," He said as he took a card from his deck and sent it to the graveyard, revealing it to be the original Gamma, The Magnet Warrior.

"Then, I'll activate Magnetic Field!" Deckard placed the field spell onto a slid out holder on his duel disk, causing a large stage to appear in front of him, below his monsters. Several polarity devices appeared at the four sides of it.

"Since I control a level 4 or lower Earth Rock-Type, Magnetic Field lets me special summon Gamma from the graveyard!"

The first member of the classic trio rose from the graveyard, standing beside his more modern brother. (1500/1800)

"Now, I'll use these two to link summon!" A set of empty link markers appeared on the stage. Gamma and Delta turned into orange hurricanes as they set themselves in the bottom right and bottom left markers.

"Come, assist the earth! Missus Radiant!"

The regal dog laid down near the edge of the magnetic stage, with it's usual air of apathy. (1400) Radiant's effect began taking effect, raising it's attack to 1900.

"I'll end my turn there." Deckard declared.

Monster: Missus Radiant (Left Extra)

Spell/Trap: Magnetic Field (Field)

"Behold the wrath of the ocean! I draw!" Yuria hopped excitedly.

Scott

"Yeah - let's hope at least one of us is capable of giving the crowd something to enjoy." He promptly removed his jacket - he didn't want to get that gift dirty - and readied his duel disk and deck. He neatly put his jacket off to the side, where he hoped no punk would steal it.

Standing there in a generously tight shirt and jeans, Scotty imagined he was everything the women - and some of the men too! - liked to see.

"Hope you're ready for a thrashing, nerd."

Scott Vs Bill

"Hey!" Bill protested as the holographic coin flipped itself.

However, when arrow on the coin faced Bill, his disposition significantly lightened.

"Oh I get to go first!" He then took a look at his hand, bringing his mood down again.

"I'll set a monster," A hologram of a sideways face-down card appeared in front of him.

"That's all."

Monster: Set Monster (Middle)

Spell/Trap: None

"Heck yeah, let's get started! Let's wow the folks, let's have some fun!" he grinned and held up his hand, where his disk snapped into place and he held it out in front of him. "Let's make them remember us!"

He chuckled and plucked the top five cards off his deck. "How about I let you go first? Just to make it fun?"

Byron Vs Dan

"Sure," Dan said as he looked at his opening hand.

"First, I'll activate Hand Destruction," He declared as the spell card showed itself on the field.

"We both send 2 cards from our hands to the graveyard," He recited, "I'll be sending Needle Worm and Junk Synchron to my grave. What do you got?" Dan asked as he sent the two monsters to his graveyard.

"Aw man..." He said, slumping over and looking at his hand. His eyebrow raising, he actually got an interesting idea! Could it be the makings of INSANITY! Or BASIC STRATEGY!?

Yeah, probably.

He plucked two of the cards from his hand and held them up. "I discard The Weather Painter Sun and the Weather Painter Rain!" He held up the two cards, one prominently red, one prominently blue, and slipped them into his discard pile before reaching for two more cards.

Byron Vs Dan

Dan rolled his eyes, "Oh boy, Weather Painters. How intimidating."

"Anyways, the second effect of Hand Destruction lets us both draw 2 cards," He told Byron as he drew his two cards. Byron did the same.

"Now, I'll banish Needle Worm from the graveyard to special summon Aztekipede The Worm Warrior," The card of Needle Worm appeared from a portal in the ground. It only showed up for a few moments though, as a giant centipede emerged from the ground, devouring the card. (1900/400)

"Next, I'll normal summon Shield Worm," Dan declared as a large worm with a layer of armor around it's head materialized. (800/2000)

"Shield Worm's effect allows me to not only change it to defense position," As he said this, the worm began glowing blue, "But I also get to make the top 2 cards of your deck go straight to the graveyard. One for each of my insect monsters."

Dan, for the first time in the tournament, had a small grin on his face.

"Freakin'...mill decks." He mumbled, as he pulled the top two cards of his deck and slipped them in quickly.

Byron Vs Dan

"I'll set 1 card face-down and end my turn," Dan declared, his smirk still visible.

Monster: Aztekipede The Worm Warrior (Middle), Shield Worm (Left)

Spell/Trap: Set Card (Middle)

"Alright! Let me show you what I can do! I...draw!" He snatched the top card of his deck and looked at it, nodding his head. "Okay, so here's what I'll do."

"First, I'll activate The Weather Cloudy Canvas!" he held up a hand and plugged it in. Immediately, the space in front of him turned dark and gloomy, as holographic clouds began to form around his field, casting lovely "cloud" shadows down and around him, pausing to wait.

When he saw the lack of movement, he nodded and pulled another card from his hand up and showed it. "Then, I'll Normal Summon The Weather Painter Thunder!"

In a boom of thunder and a crack of lightning, a young girl with red hair and glowing lightning bolt wings appeared in front of him, struggling to hold up the massive crayon she held. (ATK: 1700). Byron then pointed up. "When I summon Thunder, I can send one face up Spell or trap card I control to the graveyard, then I can activate another from my deck, face up! In this case, I'll activate...The Weather Snowy Canvas!"

He gestured up, and the clouds above shifted a little bit. They turned a little darker, and suddenly, snow began to fall around him and around Thunder, who held herself as she shivered.

Pointing forward, Byron stated, "The Weather Snowy Canvas gives the Weather Painter in front of it, and to the sides of it, a Special Ability. Namely, I can Banish Thunder...' He pointed forward and, into strings of paint, Thunder vanished. "And I can add another Weather Painter to my hand!" He did so, holding up and showing him "The Weather Painter Cloud", before adding it to his hand.

Grinning, he then held up three cards, and put them facedown. "Then, I set these three cards facedown, and then end my turn."

As he ended his turn, and once he drew, a large paintbrush appeared on the field again and began to etch something. In front of him, in the spot he just was, was Weather Painter Thunder! She reached up and grabbed onto the paintbrush.

"And since you seem to know what they do, I take it you know Weather Painters come back when they're banished by Weather Canvas'."

FIELD

"Alright, my draw...and I can see a winning formula already."

Smirking, Scotty stated, "First off, I special summon Earth Armor Ninja to my side of the field, since you control a monster and I don't."

Scotty slid the card on to the left most zone, and immediately there was a burst of smoke on the field, and a brown armored ninja with some silver pieces of armor in place showed up.

"Next, I reveal Ninjitsu Art of Shadow Sealing in my hand to special summon Twilight Ninja Jogen." He put that card two spaces to the right of Earth Armor Ninja. A further explosion of smoke revealed a black and gold armored ninja wielding an elaborate, three bladed kusarigama.

Two special summons one right after the other, nice.

Byron Vs Dan

"Yes yes, I'm aware," Dan remarked, his voice dripping with sarcasm, "I draw."

Dan looked at the 2 cards in his hand, putting them down while sighing.

"I'll attack Thunder with Aztekipede!"

The giant centipede began to tunnel through the earth, charging towards the weather fairy.

"O-oh ok, keep going."

The worm charged forward and bit the Fairy in the midsection. With a loud scream, she exploded into pixels.

"Excessive." He mumbled, wincing one eye.

"Guess it's time." At the sign of the announcement, Anna slapped her hands onto her knees and brought herself up with a great heave. She looked around to see where everyone else was going before she strapped her Duel Disk onto her arm and followed everyone out to the arena.

Jerome Duran, huh? She wondered what kind of Duelist her opponent was going to be. She felt the scanner in the pocket of her hoodie as she walked out. Hopefully something would happen in the second half. If she goes back with nothing, the chief was going to have her head.

Byron Vs Dan

Dan said... something under his breath.

"Damn thing wasn't in attack mode..." He mumbled.

"I'll end my turn."

Anna Vs Jerome

Anna saw her opponent already waiting at their duel field. He was very tan, wearing a short sleeved hoodie, and his hair had the sides shaved and the rest of it grown out, tied towards the back.

"Oh, you must be Anna," He said with an English accent, "Well let's give the people what they want! Let's duel!"

His duel disk had been customized with a few accents, looking like the boarders of a fancy letter. Other then that, it was standard model.

"Sounds good to me! I draw!" He grabbed the top card of his deck.

"Alright! So, first thing's first..." He gestured to one of his facedown cards. "I activate Back to the Front!" He threw his hand forward, and the card on the far right flipped up.

"This is a very simple little card. Let's me Summon a monster from my graveyard in defense position!" He pointed up. "So let's bring back The Weather Painter Thunder!"

In another bolt of lightning, Thunder appeared in front of him, kneeling down and turning light blue. (DEF: 0)

"Then, I'll activate The Weather Thundery Canvas!" He pointed to the card to the right of Snowy, where lightning and thunder crackled heavily above him in conjunction to the snow falling. "Now, at the moment by itself, it's useless. But thanks to YOU...' He pointed a finger at him and grinned. "It's gonna be a lot more useful! See, by sending a Weather card from my side of the field to the graveyard, I can Special Summon...The Weather Painter Sun!"

The card dissolved from the top down and behind it, a portly man with bright red hair, holding a massive paint estle with oranges and reds, waving a paintbrush around. (ATK: 1600)

"Now, normally, when Sun is summoned like this, I can activate a Spell or a Trap from my hand immediately." he paused. "Buuuut, I can't, so that's moot." He held up a hand. "But what's NOT Moot...is the fact I can still Normal Summon! Normal Summon, the Weather Painter Snow!"

In a puff of flurries, a small girl with bright blue hair, bright blue dress and bright blue eyes appeared, blinking and looking around rather adorably. (ATK: 0)

"And when I normal Summon HER, I can activate a Weather Spell or trap from my deck! So I think I'll add that Extra Space with The Weather Sunny Canvas!"

The sun began to peek through the clouds as he spoke, and he grinned. Then, holding up three fingers, he pointed forward.

"Appear Now! The portrait to paint the future!"

Snow turned Blue, Sun turned Red, and Thunder turned yellow, before flying up into the air.

"Arrow Heads confirmed! The Summoning Condition is 3 The Weather monsters! I set the Weather Painter Sun, Snow, and Thunder in the Link Markers! Link Summon!"

In a burst of Rainbow Color, a figure descended...

"Painting the weather of the world, the sun, the rain, the snow and everything in between, paint that which brings life to all! Link Summon! Link 3, The Weather Painter Rainbow!"

With long white hair that shimmered in the sun like a rainbow, and with 7 floating tubes of paint floating around her, Weather Painter rain descended. (ATK: 2400)

Pointing forward, Byron shouted, "Attack Rainbow, with Chromatic Crash!"

Holding her hands up, the seven tubes of paint began to glow...and then all fired a beam of pure light of each color at Aztekipede.

Draw Phase: Mermail Abyssteus.

Main Phase 1:

"I discard Atlantean Dragoons in my hand to Special Summon Mermail Abyssteus (ATK, Far Left). I activate Abyssteus and Dragoons effects. I add Mermail Abyssgunde and Deep Sea Diva to my hand.

"I Normal Summon Deep Sea Diva (Center-Left), and with her effect I Special Summon Atlantean Heavy Infantry (DEF, Center-Right) from my Deck. With Atlantean Heavy Infantry's effect I can Normal Summon again, this time it's Neptabyss, the Atlantean Prince (Center).

"I activate Neptabyss effect. I send Poseidra, the Atlantean Dragon from my Deck to the GY and add Call of the Atlanteans to my hand.

"By tributing Diva, Neptabyss, and Heavy Infantry, I Special Summon Poseidra (Center) from the GY." Yuria admired the massive armored blue "dragon" with a trident for a tail. "Awesome, isn't it? By the way, Neptabyss effect allows me to Special Summon Dragoons (Far Right) from my GY, and Heavy Infantry effect destroys your Gishki Chain." Sasha's Sea Serpent exploded into a splash of water.

Battle Phase:

Yuria pointed her finger at Sasha and said loudly. "Everyone, attack!"

Byron Vs Dan

Aztekipede was absolutely obliterated by Rainbow's assault, leaving Dan to shield himself with his arm from the resulting dust cloud. (LP 8000-7500)

Yuria Vs Sasha

First, the Dragoon charged Sasha with it's lance, landing a glancing blow. (LP: 8000-6200)

Then, Abyssteus summoned a small tidal wave, which crashed down on Sasha before disappearing. (LP: 6200-4500)

Finally, Poseidra revealed itself right in front of Sasha, as it had been hidden by Abyssteus' tidal wave. The water dragon attacked by breathing a massive high-pressure water stream from it's mouth. Sasha shielded herself with her duel disk, but her life points dropped regardless. (LP: 4500-1700)

For a moment, she remained silent. Then Sasha cracked a small smile.

"Finally! A good challenge!"

Sasha's sudden change in expression surprised Yuria, but she politely smiles back.
